Having two full master bedrooms gave my wife and me tons of space, and our 15-year-old son loved having a proper, high-end bedroom to himself instead of a pullout couch. Points-wise, it was an incredible redemption. That said, if you're paying cash, bringing a larger group to split a flat or house would make the value even better. The location is extremely convenient--about 25 minutes from MCO airport, 16 minutes from the Orange County Convention Center, 15 minutes to Disney, and 23 minutes to Universal. Resort & Vibe: The resort hits you with a serious "wow" factor right when you drive through the front gates--it feels like stepping into a lush, tropical world. We arrived early in the morning well before check-in, but Allison at the front desk was so welcoming and did a great job accommodating us while we waited. The Lagoon & Food: The Evermore Bay lagoon was extraordinary, especially for our teenager. Between the watersports, rope swing, and waterslide (a total 10/10 according to my son), there was endless fun. It was our first time paddleboarding, and the staff made us feel right at ease. Food-wise, we didn't expect much from a resort food court, but we were blown away by the smash burgers and Ahi Tuna Poké bowls--they became our daily go-to items. Huge shoutout to Kimmy bartending at one of the outdoor mobile vans. She brought such a bright, bubbly, positive energy to our day, even while battling the Florida heat and wasps! The Golf Experience: As ~20 handicappers, both courses were immaculate and a fun challenge. However, customer service was a tale of two different worlds: Cypress Course: Beautiful layout (the Sawgrass #17 replica was awesome!). Our starter, Jimmy, was top-tier and gave us incredible island-style hospitality. Since we were playing in a foursome with my 82-year-old father, Jimmy thoughtfully suggested that if the faster group behind us caught up, we should let them play through so we could enjoy our family time without feeling rushed. Looking back, Jimmy was 100% right--we maintained a steady pace, and the group behind us never ended up pressing us anyway. Unfortunately, Jimmy's supervisor/boss approached us from the very start with a bad attitude. When we paused to let that group pass and I mentioned, "Well, Jimmy told us..." he cut me off with, "WELL I'M JIMMY'S BOSS!" and scolded us to keep up with the group ahead. On a family resort where people pay top dollar to make memories, his approach lacked basic customer service and tact. We had a similarly cold experience with the head pro shop manager (listed as "MBYERS" on our receipt). A little warmth goes a long way. Grand Links Course: We came back Sunday before our flight to play Links, and it was night-and-day! Before our round, I even went out of my way to swing by Cypress just to thank Jimmy again for his hospitality earlier in the week. Over at Grand Links, Vince and Caroline at the front desk set a fantastic tone, Braden had our bags dialed in, and Mike gave us a great course orientation. After the round, Caroline went above and beyond. I realized I lost my headcover, which turned out to be found by the group behind us. Caroline immediately radioed it in, located it, and without hesitation offered to fetch it. Since we were in a time crunch before our flight, she even met us at the food court with it. That proactive service did not go unnoticed! Final Verdict: Evermore is world-class when it comes to the lagoon, villas, and course conditions. I will definitely be back for the golf--hopefully next time, management on the golf side takes a page out of Caroline and Jimmy's book!

Booking online was simple and hassle-free, and when I reached out about the possibility of an early check-in and a late check-out, the team was able to accommodate both requests. The real highlight was when I went to take a shower and I locked the door, but the door wouldn't unlock and I was stuck for a couple minutes and I had to call my husband to try and help me unlock the door from the other side and even after it unlocked the door would get stuck. Me and my wife enjoyed the bowling alley. We had a lot of fun. We also ordered food from door dash while we were in the main lobby. We ordered shake shack which was cheaper ordering from door dash then buying food on the resort, smash burgers well done with cheese fries, for a little vacation cheat because I'm on a diet. By the way the order came really fast. Don The pool was great especially at night the view was amazing. With the lights shining on the pool and the really nice fire pit they had so you can even roast some marshmallows by it. Also the pool features a water slide for kids and adults. The blow up rafts were $9to17. You also could bring your own as well. You also had an ice machine with cold water free. Plus you had the soft drinks and soda all you can drink for $30 . That was the drink packed. Cabana bay resort also had a restaurant right next the pool outside. Where they had some really good chicken quesadillas with fries. My wife enjoyed that. . I went with the chicken wrap with lettuce and some veggies, It was great to eat pool side with the beach chairs equipped with the big umbrella for shade . Then you also had the lazy river at the resort. That featured a bigger water slide and pool . Bigger than the pool outside the main lobby. The staff was courteous and friendly the stay was fun. Just remember it's kinda pricey . But don't forget about all the theme parks you get to visit for $80 each way .

The best part about this hotel is that it is located literally 5-10 minutes walking distance from Epic Universe. I ended up staying in a room with a theme park view and we were very comfortable. We even came back to the room midday and took a nap, so we really took advantage of the proximity. I'd love to stay here again. My only caution is that rates can get very high if you book near October due to HHN. But that would be the case regardless of hotel booked.

They have several pools on the property as well as a mini golf and frisbee golf --just about a 5-minute walk to stores and restaurants and about a 10-15 minute drive to Disney. Overall, great value for a nice comfortable place to lay your head for a few days. Only downside: 1 remote control needed new batteries & our coffee pot was malfunctioning, but the hotel staff were able to replace both for us. *FYI- It is an older resort; appreciates its character, but could use a remodel & new carpet throughout. There was an area in our room that had an oder near the back side of the door. It's possible a cat was here at some point (?) and it looks to be the original carpet, so that shouldn't have been over looked and at some point the maintenance/ housekeeping crew should have steam cleaned the room or at-least that area.

She is happy to reply to questions and accommodate however she can. Since it's a newly renovated townhouse everything is new, which is nice. Pots and pans aren't scratched up. The townhouse itself is modern and nice, but not great for very small children. The owner welcomes kids and even has a high chair and plastic dish ware but the stairs are steep and uncarpeted(this wasn't false advertising, just wanted to let people know), dangerous for little legs. It would be great with older kids for sure! My review reflects the overall experience of staying at the place. The surrounding area is a little trashy. The Regal Oaks isn't really regal. The neighbors spend their afternoons fixing cars and smoking cigarettes on their stoops. They are perfectly nice but i hate cigarettes. When you walk around you notice everyone has reinforced door locks(I felt safe until i noticed that even though i have no reason to think these extra locks were needed ). And there is trash strewn around from the raccoons at night, one of which made it to the pool so the water slide was closed down to be cleaned and shocked. The pool water is a little murky looking and both my son and I developed a slight rash while we were there that disappeared after a week so it wasn't serious. We aren't sure if it was the pool or a sensitivity to detergent. The great perk is that it's really close to Disney and you can walk to "Old Town", which is also trashy but fun. There is a decent pizza place there too! If you aren't on air bnb and want to stay here, you can go directly through Regal Oaks and find different rentals there through them and don't have to worry about the air bnb process. It's perfect for older families(my father in law loved it) or young adults who want to be near Disney, a resort and in walking distance to some bars.
