Others tried to fix it but weren't able to. Clock issues: Wouldn't strike on the hour correctly. Hammers were not lined up correctly. Some of the internal arms were bent. Over all the clock had multiple issues. He took it apart and completely rebuilt it. I was very patient and trusted that he would get this clock working again. Don Brown has worked on several of our clocks with some success. However, when he tried to fix our…read moreBlack Forest cuckoo clock he completely failed. After three tries, and over $500, our clock still does not run. Three times he told us the clock was repaired, and when we put it on the wall, it would not play music, signal the hour or even run to keep time. We sent Mr. Brown a letter asking if he wanted to try to fix the clock one more time, and he never answered our letter even though he could have by phone, mail, text, or email. My advice is to deal with him carefully and be sure he knows how to fix the clock you are concerned with. Perhaps you should check the work before you pay him. Our $500 dollars was quite simply wasted. Obviously we should have checked before sending a check.
