They do have a wood fired oven. Place is clean and the plates are beautiful. Service was very nice but she had a very quiet voice. We wanted a beer but they didn't have any. She said we could go to the store next door and bring it in. Under stock. The Salad was very good. Our pizza came out and looked amazing. It was a little undercooked for a 900 degree oven. It was floppy and you had to eat it with a fork. We traveled 30 minutes for a wood fired pizza.

I really can't say enough about this place, reviews speak for itself. Go in, sit at the bar, be patient and eat. Order it all,

Slice of Heaven: Why Atmosphere Pizza in Sarasota is Your New Obsession (And Why I'm Betting My Waistline on It) By Christopher and Ivana, Proud Sarasota Slice Enthusiast and Atmosphere Regulars Listen up, Sarasota--I've got a confession. In a town where the beaches are bluer than a bad spray tan and the sunsets could make a poet weep, I've spent way too many Friday nights chasing the perfect pie. And folks, after years of floppy crusts, soggy middles, and cheese that slides off like a bad blind date, I finally found it: Atmosphere Pizza on North Beneva Road. If pizza were a religion, this place would be my Vatican, and I'd be genuflecting with a slice in hand. Tucked away at 935 N Beneva Rd, Unit 409, Atmosphere isn't just a pizzeria--it's a Neapolitan ninja, slinging wood-fired wonders that taste like they were airlifted straight from the streets of Napoli. We're talking authentic Italian vibes, with dough made fresh daily using organic, imported ingredients that scream "mamma mia" louder than a Sopranos marathon. The brick oven? It's basically a time machine to 18th-century Italy, blistering crusts to that perfect leopard-spot char without breaking a sweat. Or should I say, without overbaking one? Let's talk menu, because if you're not drooling yet, you might need to check your pulse. Start with the meatballs--homemade, swimming in sauce so rich it could fund a small villa. Then dive into the pizzas: The classic Margherita is a love letter to simplicity, with basil that pops like fireworks and mozzarella that's stretchier than my excuses for skipping the gym. Craving heat? The Calabria Spicy will have you sweating like it's July in Florida (which, okay, it is). And don't get me started on the sausage and rapini--it's the kind of pie that makes you question why you ever settled for delivery disasters. But here's the real magic: the atmosphere (pun fully intended, because why not?). This spot feels like a cozy speakeasy crossed with your Nonna's kitchen--intimate lighting, fun wine glasses that make you feel fancy without trying, and an owner named Andrea from Bari, Italy, who greets you like you've been family since the Renaissance. Outdoor seating for those balmy Sarasota evenings, curbside pickup for when you're in sweatpants (no judgment), and service so warm, it'll melt your heart faster than their burrata. Open late too, because nothing says "adulting" like midnight pizza and a glass of house red that pairs better than socks and sandals. Now, full disclosure: I'm not just here to wax poetic (though I could--ask my long-suffering friends). As a local business owner Purdy handyman. I've seen what makes Sarasota tick. And Atmosphere? It's ticking all the boxes for that perfect night out! Chris and Ivana

Delicious pizza, great atmosphere haha fresh ingredients great service! We will be back! I recommend the Atmosphere, margarita, SRQ or Vezuvio and the pistachio cake. We got the meat plate and cheese plate and the chef was freshly slicing everything. Seriously so good.

New management. The pizza was just not the same or as delicious as I had remembered it. They also don't serve sandwiches at the moment. I placed a pick-up order for two pizzas and a third menu item, the San Carlos sandwich. No problem, they said. They will make it for me if I tell them the ingredients, they said. I even talked about how the San Carlos sandwich was so good, asked when they would bring it back, and how grateful I was they'd make it for me. Got home and open the boxes to see that they gave me three pizzas, and no sandwich. The pizza was not sliced through completely and we had to try to cut the slices apart at home. Middle of the pizza was too thin and everything just fell apart when we tried to pull the slices apart. I put the leftovers in the fridge and heated some up in an oven the next day...tasted much, much better. Had it at a high heat as well so it was no longer floppy and still chewy. Giving this place 3 stars because the leftovers tasted much better than the fresh and the interior got a nice face lift. The only pizza that people enjoyed was the Mortazza and it was a very good mortazza. Since we used to like the place before new management took over, I'll be giving this place another try and dine-in instead of take out. Perhaps they'll have everything in order by then and sandwiches on the menu.

Bologna Pie for me and my wife had a Margherita with Ricotta added. Delicious pizzas that tasted just like the pizza we had in Napoli!!!

Incredible pizza that tasted just like what we had in Napoli last year! Wow! Love that Atmosphere is open late too! Great spot to get Napoli style pizza and a glass of wine. Thank you to Andrea for making us feel welcome and for the amazing pizzas as well as the carbonara!!! Give this place a chance and you'll be coming back for more!!!

    Mortazza and Vesuvio Pizzas-- unreal

Hands down best pizza I've ever had! What a hidden gem. Everything we ordered was delicious. Started with the Arancini on special which was 3 large rice balls filled with rice, bolognese and peas. Perfect! Caesar salad was incredible with wisps of anchovy in the dressing. I could have eaten only this and been happy. Mortadella is always my favorite and the Mortazza pizza was out of this world! The mix of mortadella with pistachio pesto and whole pistachios was delicious. Simple and divine. The Vesuvius was a complex masterpiece with tomatoes, prosciutto, burrata, arugula and truffle oil. Also had the Verde which was also an incredible white pie with speck, basil pesto and stracciatella. Finished with tiramisu which was tasty! It had a layer of cinnamon on top which I think would have been better as cocoa powder but I enjoyed nonetheless. Overall, Atmosphere impressed me beyond belief and I'm sad I live across the country but will be coming back every single time I visit Florida. Also the owner Antonio is a joy! Highest praises!

Great pizza, tasty, well presented, quality ingredients. If you want cheap go to little Caesar, if you want quality come here

Authentic Neapolitan pizza in the heart of Sarasota! At least of the three employees are from Italy and the the pizza artisan who works the brick oven is from Naples, which is where pizza is purported to have been invented. The quality comes through--the crust is made from scratch. I asked the server if the pasta is made from scratch and he paused and replied, "of course it is." The desserts are also house made. The sign outside the strip Mall restaurant merely states "Pizza" but the food is unique for the area and a special. The atmosphere is traditional and warm. The hostess is a pleasent young Italian woman. Enjoy every Italian bite!

I really like the quaint ambience & local nature of Atmosphere. It's charming & a place you feel cozy to stay a while. My sister & I ordered a salad & pizza to share. The description of the spinach salad sounded excellent, with grilled speck, goat cheese, & truffle honey, but it was mostly a bowl of spinach & underwhelming. The ham was overcooked, even burnt on the edges, & the honey was barely there. The Pizza Vesuvio was tasty but thin &, therefore, very soggy towards the middle. The service was good & the food came out quickly. All in all, I'd try them again. But they do need to up their salad game!

In the mood for delicious authentic Neopolitan Wood Fire Pizza? This is a Must try in Sarasota off Beneva Road. We've lived just 5mts away from Atmosphere and had no clue what was in store for us. From the outside is just a regular Pizza sign above the pizzeria but as you walk in is such a humbling experience. Antonio is the mastermind behind Atmosphere. It's a small establishment with amazing staff and everyone plays a big role in making it such a success. Although Antonio is mainly in charge of the pizza, he's attention to detail is superb. This young man goes out of his way to make sure everyone is happy and enjoying their time. I chose the Pizza Vesuvio & my husband had the Mortazza Pizza along with Pistachio Cake & Tiramisu for desserts. Folks, I have eaten all over the world but this pizza my friends brought me back to Italy. It is AMAZING! Dessert was delish; The Pistachio cake was my favorite. Pictures do it no justice. Flavors on point. The fresh basil leaves & truffle oil on the pizza takes it up another notch. The ambiance is so Italy casual with Italian music playing from the kitchen. If I could rate more than 5 stars I would. Can't wait to go back. BEST Pizza in Sarasota back to back. Now I know why.

Excellent!!!! Crew members and the most important delicious testing all the food !

The meals generally include mixed vegetables and roasted potatoes; however the menu doesn't say that nor did our server. Only the all pasta dishes come with pasta. There is no side of pasta offered either. This was disappointing because we were in the mood for pasta. After overcoming this, the dishes we chose were all delicious. Our guest said the sole of fish and sauce was great. The branzino at $49 we were told was boney but tasty. The lobster raviolis were cooked perfectly and topped with 2 pieces of grilled shrimp. The chicken scaloppini was tender and the white wine sauce was light and smooth. Overall the meal was good. Our server was distracted and sloppy. Considering it was not at all busy and there was sufficient staff, our server looked overwhelmed. Water glasses were left unfilled and drinks were spilled when served. We had to ask for extra napkins to clean the stem of our glasses. Glad we tried it, but with so many Italian options in this area, I think we will leave this spot for the visitors.

The appetizer mussels were a LARGE portion, but luckily I didn't mind taking them home as leftovers. They were incredibly delicious and fresh. The tuna dish was tasty with a nice kick. The chef's social ravioli was really good, not something I'd typically order but it was worth it. The music here was a good volume and the vibes were nice. They had a really nice piano, would've loved to have someone playing on this night, that would've really set the standard here. Overall, a very nice restaurant. First impression, plenty of street parking directly in front and as we entered we noticed a truly beautiful outdoor patio, nicely landscaped, centered around a beautiful outdoor stone fireplace. When the weather cools we will look forward to enjoying that. As it was a bit warm outside we chose an indoor table. The interior is beautifully done with elaborately detailed tray ceilings, soft colors, soft lighting, a really lovely bar, and a quiet luxury throughout. We were greeted by the host Bob, who we later learned is a partner/owner, and we were seated immediately. Our waitress Holly was fun, engaging, attentive and eager to please without ever being overly present throughout the night. She set the tone by announcing that all wine was $10 off per bottle and all signature cocktails were $10 each. We were informed these values are expected to be offered at all times during low season (not just a happy hour). We found the wine and cocktail pricing to be extremely reasonable even without this extra offer. Holly also volunteered that the kitchen would happily split any appetizer onto two plates and we were also welcome to order just a half salad or half Caesar salad if only one of us wanted one. For the waitperson to offer this without even being asked, we felt the spirit of hospitality was off to a great start as it was obvious the restaurant is prioritizing customer happiness above all else. The menu, which you can review on their website, was full of enticements that had us vowing to return so that we could sample more and more offerings. We settled on a half house salad (excellent), a pasta fagioli (unforgettably good) one of their signature dishes, "Chicken Our Way", and Rigatoni Bolgnaise. The chicken dish was simply out of this world, very lightly breaded and beautifully glazed with a wonderful sauce. The table next to us, having driven up all the way from Northport, politely demanded to know what the dish was as the aroma graced their table. The Rigatoni Bolognaise was as fantastic as any dish we had while travelling through Italy; the bolognaise sauce was unquestionably made from scratch in-house and was as delicious and as authentic as it comes. As we were dining, a woman entered who had the essence of an owner; she went from staff member to staff member, and from table to table, checking on every employee and every customer to ask how things were going. When she stopped at our table, she introduced herself as Beverly, the host's partner. She stayed with us for quite some time showing a genuine and personal interest in us. We were not just a customer to her; we were clearly a new and valued acquaintance. This level of Mom-and-Pop personal service is very hard to find today in Sarasota--and it makes all the difference in the world. We can't wait to go back to see Bob, Beverly and Holly again as they truly made us feel like family. And we can't wait to try more of their enticing dishes. You simply MUST sample this restaurant and see for yourself. I fear though that if too many people discover it, the restaurant may grow and change. I hope that doesn't happen, because it is perfect right now, in this moment, exactly the way it is.

There were about 4 tables so plenty of room for more guests and the bar was empty. The sausage and peppers sandwich was flavorful per my husband. The sausages are not sliced but cut making the sandwich a complete mess. The bread is not made to hold the sausage. I had the chicken Marsala sandwich. Again had a huge issue with the bread being useless. The mozzarella was on the bread but none on the chicken. The Marsala sauce was bland and minimal. Would not get this again. The disco fries were not making me happy. Basically thin fries smothered in gravy. Where was the cheese? The gravy was also bland and we ended up tossing most of them out. The restaurant itself is nice with darker colors and clean. Prices on the regular menu are pricey and after trying their sauce I can see why it was empty. Personal peeve, Italian dish that doesn't include pasta as a side option when clearly they have pasta in the menu is wrong.
