I really liked this dining experience. This place is right in the heart of Siesta Key. It has a total tropical vacation vibe. We ate lunch on the front porch under a tiki roof, which was fantastic! I had a big delicious margarita with fresh lime juice. Our food was really fresh and good. I appreciated that this restaurant had gluten and dairy free choices. They had healthy choices as well as some really delicious looking more substantial fair. Our waitress was very personable and we enjoyed chatting with her. We got a visit from the manager and she was absolutely lovely! The Mexican restaurant next-door was hopping, but I was really glad that we chose this spot for our lunch.

We've been to Siesta Key multiple times but have never eaten here. It was highly recommended so we went when we were there on a girls trip. Seated promptly outside. The vibe was nice- the decor was cute. We ordered a few apps to share: the short rib bites and the tuna tiradito. Both were fantastic- I can't stop thinking about the short rib bites. They had great flavor and were super tender. It was a unique twist on short rib which was nice also. The tuna was extremely fresh, some of the best in Siesta Key. I prefer more of an Asian style tuna vs the truffle sauce it was in but still good. Entree wise, we all ordered something different: the anticucho wagyu skewers, the patio salad with steak, the forbidden salmon, and the Thai curry grouper. Everyone gave their food a 4/5 or 5/5. I personally had the grouper- it was very good and cooked well. A little too spicy for me- I was able to eat it but would've enjoyed it more if less spicy. The waitress did warn me but I wasn't expecting that much of a kick. A few hiccups we had: brussel sprouts came out late and weren't hot and my side salad never arrived so we just had her remove that from the tab. Something we noticed that was definitely a little shady- the bill she brought us had the item removed but once we ran the card and brought it back, the charge was added back on. We caught it and just deducted that from our total but it seemed a little sneaky. Overall, we had a good experience and would go back. Food was great

Perfect spot to grab lunch! Menu is not overwhelming, food is fresh and flavorful. Both indoor and outdoor seating. The lobster maki rolls are fantastic!

While at the beach we started feeling peckish so we brainstormed places to eat and this spot had great reviews. Kind hostesses offered indoor or outdoor seating upon arrival. We needed to cool off so inside it was. I started with a refreshing Adam & Eve cocktail. Then we all shared a delicious calamari appetizer. My entree the siesta seafood scampi was divine. Definitely a great spot to relax and rewind after a beach day!

This is a gem of a restaurant! We had dinner on the back patio last night and the area was so peaceful and quaint. It was nice to step out of the busy street and crowds to enjoy a quiet dinner. The live musician added a wonderful touch to the ambiance with his instrumental music. Our server was vey nice, attentive and knowledgeable. Our group of 6 all thoroughly enjoyed our food (scallops, poke bowl, plantain chips, antichuko, Thai curry grouper, seafood scampi). Everything was so fresh with wonderful flavors! Absolutely the best restaurant so far in Siesta Key!!!

Tiff is an amazing GM. Went above and beyond all weekend. Remembering all of our names and made us feel extremely special. We are here for a bachelorette and she gave us recommendations for everywhere to go. We got drinks and appetizers to share. The blackened chicken and caesar salad were delish and so was the calamari. The vibes are extremely high and the other staff were extremely kind. Will definetly be back!

Always great food at the Cottage! We enjoyed our dinner on the back patio listening to live music under the stars! The service was impeccable - a waiter, not ours, noticed our table wobbling and volunteered to fix it on the fly with a few smartly placed drink coasters - wobble gone! Small touch to please guests - thank you!

The best grouper sandwich I have ever had!!! Visited Siesta Key this past weekend and stopped by The Cottage for lunch. I have never been to either and was so happy we came by. The restaurant is small but quaint. It's an old log cabin and the story of the restaurant is on the wall. The Food was outstanding!!! The grouper sandwich tempura fried was amazing!!! So flavorful and perfectly cooked. It truly was the best grouper sandwich I've ever eaten. Service was very good. We had a superb lunch and am only sorry this place isn't local to me.

I've been here once before, but I decided to come out with my son because it was a nice day out and he wanted to be outside. I was unable to figure out what I wanted for lunch and I was torn between the grouper sandwich or the seared tuna. The waitress was amazing and told me she would surprise me. She surprised me with half of each and a smaller portion of fries and the courtyard salad so I could try both. I was very impressed with the service and I can't wait to come back.

We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere at The Cottage. The tempura shrimp, salmon tartare, and burger were great; the seafood scampi was a standout and absolutely delicious. The service was pretty slow and not the friendliest; we were told it was offseason so they had less help, but not sure that should be an excuse. Overall very nice and a definite recommend when in the area.

The cottage is so cute! We sat on the front porch, at first we were nervous with the temperature but they have so many fans it was very comfortable. The team there is fantastic we had someone with a shellfish allergy and they went above and beyond to ensure they were safe during the meal! They have some great dishes on the menu but the tuna sandwich with the truffle fries was the best!

Food is consistently good. Ample choices of seafood as well as beef and unique salads. Attentive servers are always a plus. Al fresco dining as well as porch and also bar and inner courtyard. Makes a nice stop when company comes. You'll really like it.

Had my dinner here on my first night of my getaway. It was pretty busy when I walked in but they had some open tables in the back and had live music toward the end of my meal. It was a slightly cool evening but they had portable heaters spaced throughout the tables. Overall, the vibe was beachy, tropical. Something that is very fitting in the village of Siesta Key, for sure. I ordered their lobster bisque to start. It was quite filling. Very flavorful, had chunks or veggies and (potatoes?) I then ordered their poke bowl with tuna. The waitress suggested a sauce that I unfortunately cannot remember. I took her suggestion though and it was good. The prominent flavors were soy sauce and Wasabi and you can't really go wrong with that. There were freshly avocado, chopped mangoes and veggies in the poke bowl. Very tasty and a great light dinner after the lobster bisque. I was finishing my glass of wine when the musician started playing. It sounded like lo-fi to me but I'm not sure. Anyway, it was rather soothing and I enjoyed it. I ordered another glass of wine, stuck around for a couple more of his music and tipped the guy. It was quite nice for a Sunday evening actually. My waitress was super nice. Didn't rush me at all.

I love Dry Dock Waterfront Grill and I always visit when I am in the Sarasota area. Dry Dock is always busy so I am also sure to make a reservation in advance using Open Table. Typically we sit inside but I know the back patio is popular too. If your timing and patience is perfect, you can also get a nice a nice window seat in the dining room that has sweeping views of Sarasota Bay. The inside atmosphere is bright and airy and although airy often translates to loud, Dry Dock thoughtfully put noise dampening panels on the ceiling. As far as food, I don't think you can go wrong. I always get something with grouper whether it be an entree, sandwich or tacos. On my most recent visit I got the grouper filet with coconut shrimp because I had originally been eyeing up the coconut shrimp as an appetizer. Ultimately, we decided to get the rock crab claws for an appetizer which were good but more work than I planned even though they were pre-cracked. I felt like a Neanderthal trying to eat those crab claws in such a nice restaurant. No offense to the Neanderthals, of course! I have no idea what my husband had as it disappeared. After entrees, apps and bread, we were too stuffed for dessert. I think our server was Cari and she was awesome! Attentive, friendly, funny and quite possibly a mind reader and magician. She saw the hanger in my eyes and made bread magically appear. I hope I got her name correct because she was superb! We finished with key lime pie for dessert, which was delicious, although the slice was on the smaller side. Overall, we enjoyed our experience. The prices felt a bit high, but honestly, that seems to be the norm at many restaurants these days.
