Today Tony Vanoy and I stopped at "Fat Daddo's Pizza in DeSota area of Sarasota off University Blvd. It's a small place in a shopping strip area. It was clean and staff friendly! We ordered 1 slice each of Pepperoni Pizza and shared a 12oz can of Coca Cola... Oh it was so good going down! The Pizza was good and very large. I ate about 1/2 of mine my pouch was full. I would recommend and they offer free parking! I hope you try them out. read more

Passed by numerous times, finally ordered take out since it's 5 minutes from my house! It was amazing got the lasagna and was extremely impressed!! Very large portion, homemade sauce came with focaccia bread and Caesar salad! Everything about the meal was extraordinary will eat there again without question!! Fantastic Pizza! My son and I went there after his baseball game. We had to wait 10 mins or so for it to be done. The gentleman making the pizzas, maybe the owner, was awesome, super nice person and had great conversations with him. My family loved the pizza. Lived in Jersey for 50 years. This is not the best pizza south of Jersey. Crust was 'meh'. Mediocre. It's all about the crust! Toppings were minimal. Eggplant Parm was fair. Guess I expected too much. 'Small' salad was generous and very good. No dressing though (pick up). Bread included with the order was actually very good. Pizza is fire as always. I am giving two star review for two reasons: 1. The pizza is VERY expensive. I'm talking $50 for 2-3 pizzas 2. The entire staff is anti-mask. The food was delicious and the delivery person showed up during pouring rain and was apologetic that " it took so long." Great Philly Cheesesteak I wanted pizza for lunch and was using Yelp to look through the pizza places in the area when I ran across Fat Daddio's. I remember when Fat Daddio's was on Stickney Point Rd and how great I thought their Philly Cheesesteaks were, and forgot all about pizza. Before today I had no idea they were back. I was not disappointed. I stopped in for lunch and had their cheesesteak with their homemade 'Wiz', served on bread shipped in from Philly. The bread was soft, the sandwich delivered hot, and it brought back good memories of when I was in Center City. The owner even remembered me from visiting the other store several times, and there are not a lot of places I visit several times. I learned he is a pizza maker who learned how to make great cheesesteaks. I may have to try his pizza someday but right now I can't imagine going to his restaurant and getting something other than a cheesesteak. The one negative is it was too quiet inside, they should get a TV or pipe in some music. I'm certainly glad I re-found Fat Daddio's. read more

Let me tell you about the guy supposedly running this business for the lady who owns it. I mentioned that when you search Fat Daddios online through google that it clearly comes up as fatdadios.com listed as the website.. well that's not their website. It's baking ware. I'll post a picture with this review. So I advise him of this to which he says it must be my phone. I have an iPhone 12.. he says it's android based.. I told him that's not how google or Yelp work at all.. he now gets angry and tells me he doesn't f&$king care about the internet. To which I say "as a business owner you don't care about reaching your customers and properly representing yourself?" To which he yells, "I'm not the F$&king owner!" Shocked that a manager working for this business would have such a distain for business he continues to say, " I shut of the phone sometimes so I don't get orders when I don't want." So I said , "what about the owner she doesn't care?" To which he continues yelling, "Thats her!, That's on her! I don't care about the internet!" .... "I'm 60 years old I don't care about the internet!" .. was literally the rudest, most out of place food service manager I have ever seen or heard. In case you are wondering I have been working in the restaurant industry for decades. I am a culinary arts student. I am 46 years old. This guy has no business as a manager or cook with as little care as he has for his customers or the business he works for. I even offered to show him how to change the web address.. that made him even angrier.. needless to say I won't be back and I wouldn't recommend.. at least when it was Honeycrust they acted professional and attentive.. I'd be willing to bet this guy doesn't even have a food handlers card. read more

Tonight was our second time ordering from here. The first time we got a loaded pizza, garlic knots, calzone and meatballs. I was with a friend, my sister and my mom. We wanted pizza, but didn't want one of the chains. We had decided on Rico's because we knew that we all liked it. I Googled their 17th st location and learned that is was not Fat Daddio's Pizza. We decided to give them a try. We were all glad we did! They delivered it and said it should be about 30 minutes, I think it was even faster than that! The guy that delivered the pizza was really nice and friendly. The pizza was amazing!
