This review is for delivery orders. Atomic Pizza has been our pizza place since 2019 when we moved to La Habra. We've been a regular customer almost on a weekly basis for the last year or so. Wife (Karina says hi! haha!) places our order hours in advance for future delivery that same day, so the pizza gets there shortly after getting home, and we haven't had any issues with delayed delivery or cold pizza. Our go-to order is the Hot Combo (Large 2-topping pizza with wings). All mixture of toppings that we've tried have always been delicious. We request that the wings be extra crispy with the Atomic Spicy sauce (great kick of spiciness!). PERFECTION! Great tasting pizza, great wings mixed in with great customer service, make for a great pizza dinner night. Obviously, we'll be ordering again soon (probably next week. haha). I tried this place when I moved into the area and literally no other pizza place compares! Yes the price of one pizza is slightly expensive in comparison to like dominos but it's so worth it. Their pizza dough is like nothing I've had before and it's not greasy. This past weekend I had ordered a margherita pizza and had that with the family but the next day I came home with dominos (just to save $5) and it wasn't even something I could eat anymore because it tasted like plastic to me now. This place is hands down worth every penny for their pizza! Found one of my new favorite pizza spots. My family and I ordered the Atomic Blast pizza with sides. The pizza itself was not to heavy on sauce, which I actually prefer. I havent been here in a few years and the pizza tastes completely different than before. I read the more recent reviews and learned there's new ownership. I preferred the old style. Our food and service is always great at Atomic but tonight, we added a few items to our order and we were not disappointed! We added the bbq chicken pizza and added bacon and garlic to it.....DELICIOUS!!!!!! It's going to be an addition to our regular order from now on! We also added an order of jalapeño poppers and they were cooked to perfection. The store was busy with orders but Shawn and his crew were superb. It all starts with the breadmaking.... Chewy, crusty, fluffy, w /sour, sweet, buttery, notes through and through, excellent, brilliant breadmaking. I always get the same thing, Mediterranean. If I feel fancy I opt for the parmesan crust for a few bucks more. Take advantage of coupons and try the wings as well, they're mighty tasty. The pizza here is still really good. I love this place. The owner is nice and usually they deliver promptly and never mess up an order. Always friendly. However I am updating my review to a 3 star because twice in a row they have accepted an online order for me, only to forget about it and leave me Hanging until I call. The first time I waited 2 hours and then called and the guy admitted they were busy and forgot about my order. Okay I get it mistakes happen. No big deal. They came quickly after and upgraded my pizza. However tonight same thing. They accepted the order and forgot. The guy that answered told me the order never came through. Yet someone accepted the online order. Then he tells me I can get it tomorrow or another day delivered. I said I was hoping to eat dinner tonight after work so I would still like it delivered. Then again he tried to convince me to wait until another day. Saying usually when this happens and its late people just want it the next day. Why give me the option if you don't wanna make it tonight now? That makes this sound like a new trend. Forgetting orders? It shouldn't be a usual thing. Maybe they didn't wanna make it after all since its so late but i would still like the food I payed for. Ya know? Since I was charged. After years of being a loyal customer this trend worries me. A favorite local restaurant got greedy. We've always been a fan of Atomic, but after our last order we will not be back. We waited an hour over the estimated 50 minute delivery. When I called to check on the status they explained the order was delayed because they had a large order of 50 pizzas ahead of us. All they offered to offset the inconvenience to my family for waiting nearly 2 hours was 10% off our next purchase. They simply should not accept these large orders if it can't be supported without disruption to normal customers- if they do, they should be prepared to offer something for the inconvenience. If you want to try something different (not just a boring pepperoni pizza), give those two a try, specially the Pesto Blast. I have been going to atomic for years and have always had good pizza, however after new owners came in this place has gone downhill. Ordered pizza a few months ago and noticed instantly that the quality of ingredients tasted different and cheap. Thought I would give it another try and food tasted exactly the same. It seems like the new owner is trying to make the pizza equivalent to a dominos style chain pizza. The sauce and cheese tasted like a little caesers pizza. Giving them 2 stars because their ranch is good but that's it. If you are looking for good quality pizza with high quality ingredients (cheese, marinara sauce, and dough) then I would not recommend going here. read more
