    The pie

Service sucked, drop off the pizza no plates no napkins, no condiments. Pizza well let's just say 1step above a (chain), sauce was weak and the crust was basic. In a pinch yes (pizza always a good choice In a pinch) .

Pizza haven! I'm so stoked we found this gem. I was craving for pizza and this spot satisfied my cravings. We ordered the Godfather pizza and it was meaty galore which we loved and added jalapeños and it was a perfect combination. The cheese bites with that sauce were tasty as well. Service was excellent. Overall great restaurant except the restroom could use a bit of cleaning.

Really enjoyed my meal from La Crosta in Whittier. I was surprised to find a Napoletana style here locally, the only other spot I know of is Fuoco in Fullerton. The pizza here is great! Light airy crust with the perfect char, a sweet and tangy tomato sauce, and mozzarella cheese. The service was quick and helpful. This is definitely a spot I will be ordering from again.

Do you love wood fired pizza dough?! This place is definitely the spot to check out in the area. I was craving a warm toasty sandwich, and this place came up as a panini/pizza joint. Really great find in an assuming plaza. I ordered the Goomba panini. The panini bread was a fluffy, airy, and toasted pizza dough. Filled with generous arugula, sliced meat, cheese, and nuts. It's not your typical mixture of ingredients, but I swear this combo was so perfect. It was like biting into a fluffy folded up pizza sandwich. The servings were generous. One full panini comes could feed 2 people. Seating inside is casual. Staff were friendly. The food prep area looked really clean.

Italiano. (Sorry guys I couldn't wait to try it)

FLAVOR! that's the word that came to mind after my first, second and third bite! We ordered the Italian panini, the Goombah panini, the Godfather pizza, a pepperoni pizza and wings. The panini's were insanely good!! I couldn't decide which one was better because they were both so full of flavor. The Godfather pizza did not disappoint! The wings were nice and crispy, just like they should be. We went home and were already thinking about the next time we'd stop by and what else we would try lol. The service was great, they recommended what we ordered and I'm glad they did. The ambiance is fun and friendly. After reading the bad reviews about the dough, I can only assume the reviewers are inexperienced foodies because authentic dough is stretched by hand, so it drapes and flops instead of holding a rigid shape. Anyway, I would totally recommend this place and I'll definitely be back to try all the other paninis on the menu!

I was running some errands in the area. I got hungry and checked if there were any pizza spots in the area. La Crosta Di Napoli popped as one of the options. I looked at a few pictures and made my way. The shop is located in a large shopping center with a spacious parking lot. The inside is minimal vibe, with bar seating, a couple tables on the inside, and some tables on the outside. As soon as you walk in your can smell the aroma of fresh baked pizza. Customer service was quick and friendly! You place an order at the register located towards the back of the restaurant. The Godfather Pizza was recommended. It's a meat lovers pizza and I added mushrooms to it. I also ordered an arugula salad. The pizza was ready in under ten minutes. The salad came out first. It was very tasty! The lemon dressing was zesty. The pizza was so good! I loved that the sides were nice and charred. The pizza was crispy and delicious. I would definitely order both items again. Aside from pizza and salads, they also offer paninis. Overall, I had a good experience and will be returning to try different items. If you love thin crispy pizza, give this play a try.

    Made Man Pizza

The pizza was very solid. I loved the freshen of how it was made. I had ordered the "Made Man" and added the Italian sausage as the topping. The crust and undercarriage were solid. Nicely burnt and crunchy, even by the time I got home. I enjoyed that the pepperoni actually had a nice kick to it. Just wish the spread it out more evenly. The tomato sauce was delicious, very sweet and delicious. My only regret was not eating it there to enjoy it the freshly melted mozzarella, and not getting the side of hot honey instead. Overall I was very satisfied with the pizza. Even with the pricing, I felt like it was worth it.

Delicious wood-fired pizza! Highly recommend dining inside the restaurant. The pizza reminded me a lot of my trip to Italy. It's not your typical to-go American style pizza which is good even as it gets cold. I would be surprised if the pizza was good if you had to drive 20 minutes to get back home before you get to dig in. The pizza was a bit difficult to hold in your hand because the dough wasn't too thick, so I recommend eating with a knife and fork, which is common in Italy. The restaurant didn't actually give us a knife and fork though, so shrug. I ordered the MadeMan, which was pretty hearty and a bit heavy. My wife got the Bada Boom, which was much lighter because it was vegetarian. It was nice getting to try both. If I ate the MadeMan all by myself in one sitting, I would've gotten serious heartburn. The workers are friendly and the restaurant is fairly clean, but has fairly limited seating. We came here on a weeknight, so it wasn't too packed. Overall, I would recommend dining in here if you love pizza and have appreciation for or at least awareness of all the different styles. My wife did like the pizza much more than me. While I did enjoy the pizza too, the con for me was pricing. Margins are already super low for restaurant owners, but I must admit I didn't feel like I got as much value as when dining at other small pizza establishments. It's a bit hard to recommend this place to someone who is more budget conscious.

    Large turkey club panini
    Marie G.

Updated: still good but 1. The meatball pannini isn't as good at the club. Also the second club I ordered didn't have the Italian cheese I though they added instead of the avocado their menu pictures (not in text) My only complaint on second evaluation is IF you order multiple paninis for like a work or event, they don't have a to go bag that fits the box. This is not great for pickup as one person carrying multiple smaller boxes would be an issue my brother lives for their artisanal pizzas....they are his fave. both locations. I have enjoyed them but I wouldn't say they are my fave.... BUT This weekend I tried their turkey club panini (no onions) It maybe have ruined me for best sandwich I've had in Whittier AND any in awhile. Now I have to try like 3 other flavors. This is gonna cost me some coin but its QUALITY. I will say that what I got was different than the photo and menu listing so maybe they changed it (no avocado but their Italian white cheese)! but it was Delicious (yes, I used a capital D on purpose) The large will easily feed 2 people or a greedy happy one person for 2 meals. Oh also, it traveled well as a pick up- very crispy, not steamed after a 15 minute drive.

Came here for dinner on Wednesday night. The food came out pretty quickly. The pizza dough was perfectyl crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The topping ratio was great and the pizza had delicious flavor. The salad could have used a little more flavor it was a bit dry. The employees were all really nice and the restaurant was very clean. Very little seating outside and a little inside.

    Chicken pesto pizza
    Carolyn C.

I think it might be best to dine-in and eat your order fresh. The guy at the register was helpful and gave us recommendations as to which things were popular on the menu. We decided on their special which was a chicken pesto pizza and one of their sandwiches made in pizza dough. By the time we got home, the sandwich was on the soggy side probably because of the sauce and arugula. But that was on us since we made some pit stops to other places. Open concept where you can see them make your meal. There's a brick oven and you can find a seat around the open kitchen area. Place is kept clean and order was completed quickly. Will come back to try again. But dine-in.

For almost $29 for a 12" inch pizza I was expecting to be blown away! But needless to say I was highly disappointed Outer crust was little more done than I prefer not a fan of spotted burnt crust, tomato sauce was very bland, pepperoni was a bit salty. Not a fan of the sliced mozzarella cheese having bald spots with no cheese on your pizza with sauce that's very bland just doesn't work, prefer shredded mozzarella cheese instead as it covers the entire pizza. Pineapple was a bit tart. Definitely not worth the $29 I spent on a 12 inch pizza. I will say the service was good but unfortunately that's about all I can say. I don't see myself returning at all. For the price I paid I could have gotten 2 pizzas from Pieology or Blaze pizza or even an extra large pizza with the same toppings from Pizza 21 for pretty much the same price I paid for this pizza. PIZZAMANIA please hurry back!!!

Love the food here but was disappointed on the amount of meat there sandwiches/ paninis have. Good service just wish it had more meat.

Ordered the uptown special the perfect blend of vegetables, cheese, marinara sauce, and meat. I was told it would take about 35 minutes but trust me as soon as I've been in that pizza I don't even remember how long it took all I know I went straight to heaven. This pizza is delicious. They have so many others to try but they also offer sandwiches here. Parking is good and I don't regret a single second stop by or even find out if you can call Dean but when you bite into it, you'll feel the same sensation I did... Before Uptown Pizza Co. existed, this was the location of much loved but much misunderstood…read moreLamppost Pizza, which was(/is?) a chain in name and logo only--I believe every single Lamppost location was franchised. I know this one was. I'm not going to bore or bedazzle or befuddle or bedraggle you with (too many) stories of Uptown Whittier's Lamppost Pizza, mostly because most of those stories are my brother's and his friends' and his former coworkers' (sometimes the same people) stories to tell. I'll only mention Big Frank (RIP) and Tim and Jason and Louie ("Yeah!" "yeah!")--yes, that Louie (RIP). But Lamppost is in Uptown Pizza Co.'s DNA, or at least Big Frank's special, super secret sauce is baked into the walls of this place's pizza oven, because all these years and decades later, the pizza from Uptown Pizza Co. tastes very similar to the pizza from Lamppost Pizza in the 1980s and 1990s, which is to say that it's very good. "But John S.," you're probably shouting from your easy chair, "if the owner(s) of Uptown Pizza Co. bought the business from Big Frank, then he probably gave the owner(s) his recipe!" And there, my dear, intrepid, and sadly all too impressionable readers, you would be dead wrong. Frank never shared his recipe with anyone. Not with Tim (his most trusted manager), not with his two sons (whom he hoped would take over the business), and not even with his wife. It was such a secret that Frank refused to make the sauce at the pizza place, lest someone should see him and reverse engineer the recipe by sight. No, he assembled the sauce packets on the kitchen table in his house on Mollyknoll Avenue way on the eastern side of Whitter, loaded the packets into his truck, and brought them to work each day. Perhaps unknowingly, Uptown Pizza Co. pays a kind of perverse homage to Big Frank's secretive sauce packets by giving away its Parmesan cheese in little plastic dime bags. The pizza is very good. Every time my brother is in town and we're talking about ordering pizza, he's the first to volunteer to drive all the way to Uptown to pick it up. If these walls could talk, they'd get an R-rating for bad language alone. And don't even get me started on what transpired in the alley behind the pizza shop. I don't even want to know the truth.
