I had issues with the cleaniness, introverted teachers toward parents, and the drives were longer than I wanted. August 2017 I heard from my sister to try out Barrington Community Childcare Center. I had a tour, I spoke with Mrs. Terri and the infant room teachers and I instantly felt welcomed, safe, and pleased with the place so I instantly signed her up and she began her journey at BCCC at 15 months old. Beyond words these kind, loving, and compassionate teachers and assistant teachers have helped my daughter prepare and enjoy school so easily that she is excited to be in Pre-K and she is so smart I owe it all the Mrs. Terri and her teachers. If you are a single mom, a stay at home mom/dad trying to find a place for your child so you can go back to work, or parents concerned of the place your childs at now and do not feel like you can trust any place again, I recommend BCCC in Barrington. I been there for so long they are my daughters second family. She loves her new school but tells me she will go back to BCCC this summer. "You got it Airianna, you already miss them don't you?" Terri, Jean, Erin, Brianne, Samantha, Julie, Anna, Ashley, Lisa, Tatianna, Shabria, Melinda, Thank you for everything you have done for myself and Airianna. Would 10000000% recommend BCCC for any family!

I'd give zero stars if I could…read more When we first started looking for a nanny for our kids, 4 years and 5 months old, stability was our top priority. We had a long chat with Linda from Jovie about this, and I honestly thought we were on the same page. We trusted them to find us a nanny who would be with us long term. Here's what happened. Our nanny, who was fantastic and really clicked with our kids, ended up leaving for another job Jovie showed her only after being with us for 11 weeks. Once we found out we spoke with our nanny and she said she loved our family, in fact she told us it was a difficult decision to make and she would love to come back if we needed her for date night, etc. This new position Jovie showed her had a schedule that better fit her needs. What's unprofessional is that Jovie didn't give us a heads up until the day before she was set to leave, though they knew about it four days earlier. That hit us hard because it was unexpected, and it put us in a bind trying to figure out what to do next. Two replacements were offered. One with limited experience, her qualifications showed she had only 1 day of infant training. The other replacement we weren't shown a resume because she had not completed orientation. We were not interested in these two options. We were very clear we wanted long term care and ultimately this internal transfer our nanny made hurt our children's wellbeing. And seeing our 4-year-old so upset and confused about why his nanny just disappeared has been the hardest part. Our family trusted Jovie and they let us down and most importantly let our children down. I'm not one to complain, but I feel I have to be straight with other parents out there. Based on what we went through, if you're looking for dependable, long-term childcare, you might want to think twice about Jovie. It's a tough lesson we learned about the difference between what a company promises and what they actually deliver. Shame on Jovie and Linda for putting our kids and family through this emotional situation.

We are very thankful for the kindness, patience, and care from all the staff. They were always friendly, attentive, and truly cared about every child. Their consistent and reliable care had a very positive impact on our family. A special thank you to the owners, Oksana and Igor, for creating such a loving and trustworthy environment. It is not easy to find people who care so much, and we appreciate them deeply. The homemade Ukrainian food was amazing, and the kids always looked forward to it. It was clear that the children were happy, well cared for, and comfortable every day. We never had any problems during our time there--only support and kindness. We are very grateful to have been part of the Dreamers family, and we highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a safe, caring, and wonderful place for their children.

They share tons of information with us, and send us pictures. I never stress about dropping her off. I especially love the food menu's for the week and the festive weeks. I have visited the premises prior to Covid and it was very pleasant. The kids (both my nephews & the other kids) seem to love it and even form bonds with their teachers. They keep the children well entertained and have a nice outdoor area. Due to covid mor strict measures are put into place regarding pick-up and drop-off, as well as opening hours. I would suggest considering this place for your children but would also recommend you do all the necessary research.

Thanks to Bright Horizons, our kids are away from TV all day and instead being exposed to new things and learning with other kids. * The kids make their first friends and begin learning social and relational skills. The exposure, teaching, and skills development is more than we could ever give them at home each day. * When our oldest entered our local public school in Lake Zurich, he was off the charts with his reading and completely prepared for everything Kindergarten threw his way. * Our youngest has been there since he was a few months old. We're very pleased with the well-rounded development he's receiving. * The staff and teachers honestly care and get to know every child. * They also feed the children well. Sometimes I wonder if they eat better there than at our own home (they'll eat their vegetables there!). It's not just an expense, it's an investment in your child and for us it's been worth every penny.

The maintenance staff seems really small still and the building looks completely unkempt, outdated, and dirty. It smells, machines are old and feel scuzzy in the workout rooms. The spare rooms for stretching are fine but the workout schedules seem mostly geared for old people. Cancelling our membership because it feels like things just get worse here, unfortunately. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2021 review: Disappointed post Covid quarantine. They are so understaffed abs there's no childcare help anymore. You must wear a mask to workout in the workout room and all the friendly staff I had formed relationships with are gone. I hope Buehler is able to recover and hire a bigger staff soon but until then I won't be returning.

The highlight was definitely the bouncy house, adding an extra element of fun for the kids. The staff was attentive and ensured the safety of the kids while they enjoyed the facilities. There is also a separate play area for babies. There is something for everyone for various age groups. Another nice amenity for a party room is the separate eating area for parents to relax and socialize while the party was in full swing. It created a comfortable space for adults to unwind, chat, and enjoy the festivities from a distance. Overall, the YMCA provided an excellent venue for a kids' birthday party, combining a diverse range of activities with a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!
