I want to start off by saying thank you to our current Center Director, Angelica. She has been an amazing advocate for this center and its community. Recently, a message was sent to me encouraging me to leave this center with my children. The false accusations made were absolutely disgusting and concerning. My daughter has been attending this center since she was an infant and will soon move up to the two-year-old classroom. I admit I previously felt uneasy regarding the teachers in that specific classroom; however, since the individual who sent out that message has been fired along with another employee, I feel much more comfortable and confident about my daughter moving up. I want to encourage other parents to see the center for themselves. This facility is much more than what a bitter person who was fired for their own actions has to say about it. False accusations are not the way to handle these situations. read more

We were at this center for nearly five years with two kids. We probably stayed too long, mainly because a few teachers genuinely loved our children and made it worth it. But over time, things just kept getting worse. I highly recommend you do not trust this center with your children. We experienced bottles and naps being skipped in the baby room, three-year-olds told they couldn't play outside because they couldn't zip their own jackets, and constant leadership changes. They have had at least four directors in 5 years, and no director at all for the last year. At one point, we raised concerns about our baby not being fed, and the regional director told us we should maybe find another center. We should have listened. The assistant director left in charge the last year has allowed things that really shouldn't happen in a daycare. She brought bleach into classrooms (so strong the smell burned your eyes and stained kids clothes), changed the menu to suit her own kids (cereal and crackers EVERY DAY, let teachers take the daycare bus for coffee, and had her husband and older children hanging around the office all day during the summer. One day she left and put the cook and a teacher who had multiple complaints against her in charge of the entire center. The final straw came when we learned a weed vape had been found under a toddler's cot a few months ago. The teacher responsible is still working there and was even moved to the infant room. She made comments about not wanting to work with kids and joked about hitting one. When parents raised concerns, regional director Phebe either gaslight them, dismissed them, minimized them, or lied. Meanwhile, two teachers who repeatedly spoke up about these issues, making sure everyone in Kindercare leadership knew, even above the regional director, were recently fired. While the girl who brought drug paraphernalia and threatened to hit a 2 year old still employed working with infants none the less. Their dismissal looks like a clear case of retaliation if I ever saw one (in my many years in HR....) There are other serious concerns too: kids were apparently checked in who weren't actually at the center who get government assistance, and with all of this mismanagement, it wouldn't surprise me if the center comes under investigation soon. We recently moved our kids to a center down the street. The difference is amazing. There's a real curriculum, staff actually engage with the children, meals aren't just crackers, and the kids come home happy, not stressed and anxious. Leaving was hard because of the teachers our kids loved, but it was absolutely the right choice. I only regret not doing it sooner. I would not recommend this center. I would recommend you take your children ANYWHERE ELSE. There are serious safety issues, leadership failures, and disregard for the children's safety and well-being, and the regional director is an absolute joke. If I could give a negative start review I would. Please read my daughters story below as her safety was not top priority in this facility and I want people to think twice before choosing this location for your child. On Wednesday 1/20/21 during nap time My daughter got ahold of a barrette (from when the teachers did her hair every thatmorning) and stuck it in an outlet (we will never know the truth of why the outlet was either not covered or not covered with security outlet covers as opposed to the flimsy ones) either way she was not being watched long enough to stick a barrette into an outlet getting electrocuted. Yes. You read the correctly. This lead to an electrocution. The teachers described that they saw sparklers in the corner of their eyes. At which point they realized what happened to Addie and tried comforting her. They said her hands were charred and she had a burn Mark on her fingers. The assistant director tried calling only me but I had days before just gotten a new phone number. They did not call my husband or our emergency contact. About 45 minutes after the incident they then texted us through the app stating Addie had a minor incident. During something like this it is standard DCFS and First Aid protocol that if there is a mark on the child 911 must be called. None of this happened. Addie also has a heart condition and things like this can have an immediate impact on her cardiovascular system. We got there as soon as we could to remove Addie from the building and bring her to the emergency room immediately. When we got there my husband was able to enter the classroom and too this picture. Mind you this is about 2 hours after the incident snd the barrette was still in the outlet with children running around in the classroom. KinderCare still has yet to report the incident to DCFS and they have since told us the "concern has been addressed" I'm not sure what this means but to me they 1. There was neglect for this to even happen 2. The proper safety outlet covers were not used and 3. Did not follow standard procedure protocol or policies. I'm here to answer any questions you may have as we can share all the details now but it's been beyond traumatic for all of us and again I just want to make sure the possibility of this never happens to another kid. read more

My daughter went to Quentin Kinder are since she was in the infant room, through the toddler room, and pre-school rooms. She LOVED it. Every teacher was so incredibly caring and knew her name. She would walk in and run and hug all her teachers, current and past. A special Thank You to Ms. Julie who worked with my daughter this past year on phonics, music, and cooking. She had so much fun and was reading by the time she left to start kindergarten. She also developed a love of helping cook and asked to help make dinner nightly. And she sings and dances to all types of music. The teachers truly care about the kids. They take lots of pictures so parents can see what happens daily. They listen to and help kids socialize, develop, and shine. In addition, all the kids know all the parents and we always felt welcome. read more

Our child started attending when she was 3 months old. I was really nervous about sending her to daycare and going back to work. The staff made this transition easier than I could have imagined. They are so caring and responsive to any requests we have made. Our daughter has been there for a year now and she is always so happy when we come to pick her up. As she has gotten older the staff has been so great working with us to implement changes to her napping and feeding routines. I could not be happier with our experience here! read more

I only selected one star because the director was nice and pleasant to deal with. We felt that the class lacked the structure we were looking for and the teachers frequently seemed overwhelmed. On quite a few occasions we would see kids playing in the dirty standing water in the room's sink and drinking/licking the dirty water from their hands, kids frequently walking around needing their nose wiped and kids getting into and rummaging around the "locked" closet. For a few weeks there was a new girl in the room that would was screaming and crying and not being attended to at all...every morning. There was also a boy in the class that frequently went around hitting kids with no corrections. I think their classes might benefit from an aide in the room. We never really got a good sense of what the class did each day. The piece of paper provided at times was barely legible and mostly just informed us that our daughter likes playing in mud and getting dirty. We didn't really receive any crafts or drawings or things she might have done in class. While we understand that kids get dirty, on several occasions our daughter would be filthy, going through 8-10 pairs of pants a week not just from the muddy area that she frequented, but with paints, ink, markers and such that didn't seem to be of the washable variety. Her hands, face, hair would be filthy and on several occasions even though we had plans after pickup we would have to go home and cleanup and change clothes first. One more than one occasion our daughter was sent to school with soaked socks and shoes and on one extreme occasion it was the school that contacted me about it and provided her with replacements. I spoke to the teacher about that being unacceptable and that I expect KinderCare to contact me when this happens again. When it happened another time, I was contacted and told I could wait and bring shoes and socks at the end of the day. Instead of waiting I went right away only to find that her wet socks and shoes were still on her feet although she had a fresh pair of socks in her cubby. I spoke to the teacher again expressing my frustration with my daughter sitting in wet socks/shoes. There is an odor in the building. Maybe it is the cleaning products used or if there is standing water or something, either way, our daughter, her backpack and clothes always came home smelling like it and it is very difficult to get rid of. Our daughter has been to daycare before and we never had these issues. Pretty much everyone we dealt with were nice but unfortunately these issues along with my family contracting HFMD outweighed the minimal good and caused us to terminate our services. read more

My son has been going here for over a year. He started off in the infant room and is now in the toddler room. The teachers have been amazing to him. I was so nervous as a first time mom leaving my child with anyone, but after a week and seeing the interaction with the teachers and my son, they put my fears at ease. Miss Becky, Miss Angel, Miss Bre and Miss Val, have all treated my son with such kindness and love. He now walks into the classroom and gives them hugs and as a mother that's all I could ask for. They treat him like he's their child. I also wanted to state that when he was in the infant room he would come home with little projects they would make with him and I didn't even know he would get to do stuff like that as an infant. I LOVED getting his first ever project. I cried happy tears! I enjoy seeing a smile on my sons face when he sees his teachers in the morning. The teachers here are wonderful and I'm happy that my sons goes to this daycare. read more

Our daughter has been going to Kindercare for over two years now and absolutely loves it. She looks forward to seeing all her teachers and staff everyday. We would highly recommend this location to anyone who is looking for a place their child can grow and learn each and every day. Having our daughter go to school and come home excited is what us as parents love to see. We know that she is safe and in good hands with everyone there. After a very difficult time here with lack of: communication cleanliness consideration respect for the children nutritional value we decided to make alternative plans for childcare. Please think twice before putting your child here. The issue is the Director and the lack of support that she provides to some of the hard working teachers that are left. This unfortunately causes many different challenges on all sorts of subjects. We are very happy at a place nearby where they treat children like they should be treated, care for them, and communicate appropriately with the parents. Signing up here was a big mistake, I wish I saw a review like this one to make me open my eyes more to the reality and sooner. read more

My son has been attending this KinderCare for nearly 2 years, and we have been extremely impressed with the variety of classroom activities and learning structure provided. He comes home every day with fun stories of all that he did during the day and how much he loves his teachers and can't wait to return the next day. The use of the app for pictures, schedule and communication is essential for me to stay informed and updated throughout the day, and it helps me to have meaningful talking points with my son after pickup. The added safety precautions after Covid reopening are great! The social distance measures, teachers/directors wearing masks, multiple temperature checks and additional sanitizing measures certainly help to keep a nervous mothers mind at ease. They are taking everything very seriously which helps me to allow my son to get back to learning and enjoying time with his friends. We are very lucky to attend this facility! read more

Run while you still can. My daughter was in the infant room and the teachers were awful. I wish I can get my money back. Every time I would come my daughters eyes were puffy as if she had been just crying. Every single time I picked her up, she was either in the crib (crying. Begging to come out) or she was playing on her own while the teachers sat to the sides talking to one another. While we were trying to teach her how to use the sippy cup... I asked the morning teacher to help her with it and to pass on to the next shift to help her use it and to reinforce the use of the cup... when I picked her that afternoon, it was still on the countertop the same place I had left it. And when I asked the afternoon teacher about it, "oh that wasn't passed on from the morning." One time, when I picked her up I peaked in to the room from the outside window and saw my daughter playing on her own. The teacher saw me and immediately picked her up. When I walked in she said, "oh, I only picked her up because I saw you." I had to select at least one star to post the review otherwise they would get 0 stars. Do not register your child here.
