Recently, a message was sent to me encouraging me to leave this center with my children. The false accusations made were absolutely disgusting and concerning. My daughter has been attending this center since she was an infant and will soon move up to the two-year-old classroom. I admit I previously felt uneasy regarding the teachers in that specific classroom; however, since the individual who sent out that message has been fired along with another employee, I feel much more comfortable and confident about my daughter moving up. I want to encourage other parents to see the center for themselves. This facility is much more than what a bitter person who was fired for their own actions has to say about it. False accusations are not the way to handle these situations.

We were at this center for nearly five years with two kids. We probably stayed too long, mainly…read morebecause a few teachers genuinely loved our children and made it worth it. But over time, things just kept getting worse. I highly recommend you do not trust this center with your children. We experienced bottles and naps being skipped in the baby room, three-year-olds told they couldn't play outside because they couldn't zip their own jackets, and constant leadership changes. They have had at least four directors in 5 years, and no director at all for the last year. At one point, we raised concerns about our baby not being fed, and the regional director told us we should maybe find another center. We should have listened. The assistant director left in charge the last year has allowed things that really shouldn't happen in a daycare. She brought bleach into classrooms (so strong the smell burned your eyes and stained kids clothes), changed the menu to suit her own kids (cereal and crackers EVERY DAY, let teachers take the daycare bus for coffee, and had her husband and older children hanging around the office all day during the summer. One day she left and put the cook and a teacher who had multiple complaints against her in charge of the entire center. The final straw came when we learned a weed vape had been found under a toddler's cot a few months ago. The teacher responsible is still working there and was even moved to the infant room. She made comments about not wanting to work with kids and joked about hitting one. When parents raised concerns, regional director Phebe either gaslight them, dismissed them, minimized them, or lied. Meanwhile, two teachers who repeatedly spoke up about these issues, making sure everyone in Kindercare leadership knew, even above the regional director, were recently fired. While the girl who brought drug paraphernalia and threatened to hit a 2 year old still employed working with infants none the less. Their dismissal looks like a clear case of retaliation if I ever saw one (in my many years in HR....) There are other serious concerns too: kids were apparently checked in who weren't actually at the center who get government assistance, and with all of this mismanagement, it wouldn't surprise me if the center comes under investigation soon. We recently moved our kids to a center down the street. The difference is amazing. There's a real curriculum, staff actually engage with the children, meals aren't just crackers, and the kids come home happy, not stressed and anxious. Leaving was hard because of the teachers our kids loved, but it was absolutely the right choice. I only regret not doing it sooner. I would not recommend this center. I would recommend you take your children ANYWHERE ELSE. There are serious safety issues, leadership failures, and disregard for the children's safety and well-being, and the regional director is an absolute joke. There is no trust and no hope for change.

Thanks to Bright Horizons, our kids are away from TV all day and instead being exposed to new things and learning with other kids. * The kids make their first friends and begin learning social and relational skills. The exposure, teaching, and skills development is more than we could ever give them at home each day. * When our oldest entered our local public school in Lake Zurich, he was off the charts with his reading and completely prepared for everything Kindergarten threw his way. * Our youngest has been there since he was a few months old. We're very pleased with the well-rounded development he's receiving. * The staff and teachers honestly care and get to know every child. * They also feed the children well. Sometimes I wonder if they eat better there than at our own home (they'll eat their vegetables there!). She is highly involved, frequently present in the classrooms, and goes above and beyond to ensure that both teachers and students have everything they need to thrive. Every teacher we have had has been incredible with our boys! What stands out most is the nurturing, supportive environment combined with a strong commitment to Montessori principles. The classrooms are thoughtfully prepared, and there is a genuine emphasis on each child's individual growth--academically, socially, and emotionally. The staff have shown many times that they know and acknowledge her and her interests as an individual. The activities that children participate in at Kids of the Kingdom are awesome as well. They have fun field trips, amazing guests (like a mailman, police man or even me - as a student nurse practitioner!) who come in to speak to the children about their jobs and present interesting information. Sure, they do not look like some corporate child care centers, with expensive-looking buildings with giant stone rainbows or crayons stuck up on the building, or marble counters and huge murals inside. Let's be honest, kids don't care about stuff like that, and if a child care center spends money on things like that, it means there's less to spend on quality staff or field trips or supplies. Kids of the Kingdom is wonderfully different from some of these other places. It is a humble looking child care center that is located inside a local Lutheran church. Kids of the Kingdom clearly focuses their money on providing the children with awesome experiences and fun materials for arts and crafts. They also have a cool playground outside. My daughter has attended Kids of the Kingdom since she was a toddler. She loves it so much that she looks forward to days off of public school (since that is when she now attends Kids of the Kingdom). I think this speaks the most about how high quality this child care center is - my daughter has sometimes asked when was the next time she could attend, and has even counted down the days in excitement and anticipation.

Our family has had a wonderful experience at AMT over several years. They are truly an extension of…read moreour family and have taken phenomenal care of our children - nurturing them and helping them grow, develop, and learn. We have built long-lasting friendships that have survived different elementary schools and activities due to the tight bond the children built while at AMT. The same teachers that welcomed our oldest child when we first started so many years ago are the same teachers that are seeing our youngest child off to kindergarten at the end of this year. The consistency of staffing and lack of turnover are truly unique and it is one of the primary factors that led us to AMT in the first place (and we have not been disappointed!). There will be many tears shed by multiple members of our family when our last child graduates and we move on from this phenomenal, nurturing, home-away-from-home that has been so instrumental in the development of who our children have become. We are eternally grateful for the incredible staff and administration at AMT who have made the lives of these two working parents so much easier and less stressful knowing our children are in the most capable and loving care while away from us.
