Our family spent nearly 7 years at Little Learners. Ms.Debbie and her staff became like a second family; always showing love and care to our kids. We knew our children were safe, nurtured, and happy. In addition to the warm environment, our children had an excellent education. They brought home so many projects, shared (probably millions) of facts with us ranging from habitats to continents to insects to musicians, and they were taught to read. They learned social emotional skills like problem solving and being kind. We would recommend Little Learners 100 times over. It was the best decision to send our children there. read more

We currently have two boys at Little Leaners and cannot say enough about the quality of the staff. education and the care that they provide. The teachers are simply incredible and are more like an extension of the family. To-date we've experienced the infant room through the two's room - and our son talks about every teacher by name on a daily basis. Additionally, when they re-opened after COVID they did so with the highest of precautions for both the staff and the children. We wouldn't send our kids anywhere else and we'd absolutely recommend Little Learners to anyone looking for quality childcare. read more

This is a great place for kids to play and learn. My girl was 3.5 years old when she first went to Little Learner. Surprised me that she was happy from day one. No crying at all. After 2 years' of Little Learner, I can see the huge improvement for my girl, she became very outgoing, happy very day, making friends. I believe this is all due to the effort and enthusiasm of principle and teachers. Thank you again for making this a wonderful place for kids and parents. My twin boys have been with Little Learners for 2 years (age 2-4), and we have been very happy with them. The teachers are kind and patient. My boys love them. I really like that there is a curriculum from early on, so there is constant learning - not a just a daycare, it's a school. We also started out as part time before we moved to full time, and the owners were very flexible with us as long as they could accommodate within guidelines (day switches, etc). I have recommended to friends. Also, I think someone giving a 1 star review based on a phone call and NOT ACTUALLY HAVING ANYONE ENROLLED is ridiculous. Our son has been attending Little Learners for the past 2 years.. amazing teachers and an amazing school. We've never had a day of stress or anxiety thinking about our kid. Its been like leaving him at the family. Teachers are so caring and loving at the same time very professional. Someone mentioned the Director's in poor light... Not sure what their experience or expectation was.. but that is totally unfair. Honestly, she's one of the nicest ladies you will ever meet. The education and lesson plans are so apt and engaging, my son has enjoyed every bit of it while learning a whole lot of things. Can't expect more from any pre-schooling institute. read more

I called this daycare to ask questions and the person who answered was very rude! She talked to me like I was a criminal and was distracted by things that was happening in the center. My first impression of this center was not like any other place of business that I have encountered. I would not recommend this center to a baboon. They need to learn how to be courteous on the phone to people trying to get information about their business. I can only imagine what they teach the children in their care. We LOVE little learners and would recommend this facility to anyone. Our son can be a challenge and the teachers are so patient, encouraging, loving while also setting boundaries and rules. Our son loves attending "school" and looks forward to it everyday. He has flourished so much as a person and as a student. The fun, engaging activities that they do makes our son enjoy learning and eager to continue doing so. He has been there since 2 and we've been impressed with each classroom. I saw a review below that had a bad experience; we have had the complete opposite experience. Quite honestly, it made me sad to see it because we believe our son is in the best hands. We believe the director is always putting safety first and makes little learners a warm, friendly environment for all. We are sad to say goodbye to little learners next year as our son goes to kindergarten. You and your child would be so pleased if you choose little learners as the school...the absolute best! As new parents, we had no experience with daycares. It was difficult to choose a location. We wanted a place that would be safe, educational, and close to home. We found what we were looking for and more here! Our daughter is being cared for by people that truly care about her and want to see her succeed in life. We have been very satisfied with Little Learners over the past 6 years. Both our kids went thru the entire class levels here and enjoyed everything they had to offer. For the most part, all teachers seemed to be caring and patient with the kids. Little Learners certainly made us feel comfortable leaving them for the day. In summary, I do not recommend this daycare. The safety of the children and teachers is not a top priority for the director, nor is appropriate communication provided to the parents and families. Sometimes fair communication is offered, and other times it's the teachers sharing information after the fact. The director will pull out the red carpet for you for a tour but when it comes to follow through and appropriate responses to routine situations, it leaves a lot to be desired. It's excuse after excuse with this facility. The assistant director is one of the least friendly humans I've ever come in contact with and she does not provide a welcoming environment for parents to drop their children off in their care. The director shouldn't be in her position, her "business partner" actually doesn't live in Illinois, and the teacher turnover is way too high. Often the front door isn't working properly and the director kind of brushes it off, on numerous occasions, and that "it'll get fixed, I don't know what the problem is!" Year after year illnesses strike the children, and this is routine for a center with lots of young kids, no big deal. That being said, the director makes it seem like viruses, such as Hand Foot Mouth, haven't struck this facility. Yes it does. It happens yearly, and she makes it seem like it's never happened. The director doesn't take incidents caused by other children seriously, or she will discard or hide incident reports, and also does not act appropriately when a child is violent towards their teachers. The toys, playground equipment, and other infant items are in poor condition and the director doesn't see a need to replace them. The teachers provide a great education, but when the safety of my child is at risk, I have to look elsewhere and I'm doing just that as we speak. read more

I had the pleasure of watching my grandson attend little learners on a daily basis. I drove him and picked him up, so I had many opportunities to interact with the staff and watch the progress. The staff is exceptionally attentive and the curriculum lets them advance at a quicker rate than other preschools. At 3 years old he recognized letters and their sounds and the program had the children identifying word groups and numbers. It is an exceptional educational facilities, yet the children feel comfortable to grow at their own rate and enjoy being children. Little learners has been our second home for the girls. I had two girls going there from the two's room through kindergarten. Miss Debbie is awesome. The teachers are very accommodating and go out of their way to help the child and most importantly the parents feel at ease. They implemented a separate vegetarian menu to put everyone at ease. We have been there 7 years. field trips, special events , holidays are all included. I would highly recommend it . read more

If you are looking for a great daycare where the center owner and director really care about your kid, then go here. this is a small business which means that while they conform to all state standards for daycare, they also have a warm family feeling. The reading program which starts at age 3 is phenomenal and my son is way more prepared to go to kindergarten than his sister who was at Kindercare for years was - and he only attends LL 2 days a week. i can only imagine what he could do if he went full time. My 3 yo can write and recognize 10 letters already. Yeah staff sometimes turns over frequently but that is the nature of any daycare center. At least here the folks running the place are always a constant and always trying to make improvements. read more

I cannot tell you how happy I have been at this center. The children are loved and cared for by the best teachers. I have 2 children attending the school in the toddler room and the 3 year old room. I have a master's in education and can vouch that this center does it right. They engage the children in developmentally appropriate activities that the children love. Once the children turn three they receive daily individual reading instruction as well as fun curriculum all based around engaging themes. They have a bit of Montessori thrown in as well. If there is an opening I would grab it as they tend to fill up. Oh also home cooked food and Organic milk. :) read more
