I've been living at Atrium for the past nine months. For a college apartment, it has been nothing but top-notch. The units are spacious, the on-site gym is convenient, ample parking is available, and the hot tub on the roof tops it all. I've thoroughly enjoyed everything that the building has to offer. Location wise, Atrium is a close walk to UCLA's campus as well as Westwood. Also, Oscar, the building manager, has been very helpful throughout my time here! Any issue I've had has been resolved and addressed promptly. If you're looking for a great place to live at UCLA, there isn't any option north of Wilshire better than Atrium! read more

Living in this building has been great, but the financials don't seem to make sense 100% of the time - electrical is charged every other month, rent is not always the same, etc. The condition and livability of these apartments are both great, but when it comes to moving out... beware you may not have a solid breakdown of where EXACTLY your security deposit has gone 2-3 months after post move-out. Paint "2+2" costs me and my roommates $576? First of all, what is paint "2+2?" and second of all... is this some kind of collector's paint? Where is my security deposit? My roommates and I caused zero damage to the unit during our time there. read more

Have I been waiting for this one. What an awful place to live. We had a man experiencing homelessness break into the building, and use a fire extinguisher from every floor to break a hole in a door and spray the college students inside. They had to jump off of their balcony. And atrium refused to house the students or help them obtain a hotel room. The man was knocking on doors screaming that he was going to "kill the next woman he sees in the f*ing complex". And that's not all. My roommate came home at 3am to a different man experiencing homelessness sleeping IN FRONT OF OUR DOOR. What does atrium do? Nothing. Emailed corporate multiple times where we were blatantly ignored & called constantly, where Oscar would demean my friends and I for being concerned about our safety. We were an apartment of all young women. They hired a security guard for a week. What a joke. Oscar was extremely dismissive and has such a snide attitude with tenants. He went out of his way to sabotage me when I was attempting to get a new apartment. Don't bother ordering packages here because despite the parcel pending system, the packages will be dumped and stolen. Every single person in my apartment had packages stolen. Two individuals made a copy of atriums master key and cleared out everyone's packages. And when you ask Oscar to look to see who stole your package, you have to give a specific time frame within a couple minutes or he won't look at the footage. The materials that were used to build the complex were not quality, and you can tell. You can hear a pin drop in the apartment above. Anything and everything going on in other apartments near you. The only nice thing is the jacuzzi on the rooftop. It's going to be funny to watch management apologize when they literally didn't extend any help or care when there was someone trying to kill students and I feared for my safety. read more

I have lived in this building for about 4 months and I must say, moving here was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made. It is extremely high priced considering how poor it is ran. The units are not properly insulated so expect the temperature to be uncontrollable. The "Central AC/heating" is the lowest quality I have ever experienced, when I set the thermostat to 90 degrees, it STILL blows cold air. I have had to deal with the lowest quality shower/tub that they eventually had to replace the whole thing and put in the cheapest appliances. Learn from my mistake. Don't live here. read more

We lived at The Atrium Court as students at UCLA and had an amazing experience! The leasing office was always very helpful and maintenance was very prompt and efficient. Oscar, the manager and his staff always went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The building is equipped with many amenities including a rooftop barbecue area, hot tub and a fully-functional gym. The apartments are modern and come with pre-installed appliances (microwave, dishwasher etc.). Found mold in my toilet and had to clean it myself with a scrubby that I bought from target. The apartment was dirty when I moved in and I am sure that they charged the last person a security deposit. Way to expensive for what its worth. I lived in a roommate matching 2b/2b, and I found out while I was being charged $1453 for rent a month, my other roommate was only paying $800 for the same exact experience I was having. There was a disgusting amount of hair stuck in the drain that caused the shower to never drain properly. I transferred my lease to move out and the property management still is trying to charge me rent even though I moved out and returned the keys, has not been responding to my emails, and made it an unnecessarily difficult process. read more

Atrium court management and staff are always very very accommodating!! Work orders get completed promptly. Lenin fixes everything for us and he's super sweet. Oscar is a really sweet and understanding guy as well. Thank you to the atrium staff for meeting all our needs! The one thing I'd have to say is that our apartment did seem to have a lot of problems. From flooding, to consistent breaking dishwashers, to a shower head that won't turn off, it seems that living on the first floor brought in a lot of living problems. read more

Before I start my review, I should probably give some context to the places I have lived. If you're reading this, you're probably a UCLA student so I'm going to include some of the on-campus places too. I've lived in Rieber Vista, De Neve (Dogwood), 411 Kelton Blvd, and 519 Glenrock, and this is by far the most expensive and worst kept apartment complex I have ever lived in. The most enjoyable location I have to say was at DeNeve, followed by Rieber Vista, then 519 Glenrock, then 411 Kelton Blvd, then lastly here. My wife used to live at "Club Cali" on Roebling and that was in a class of its own (in a good way) but I think you have to lease from somebody who has already bought a condo here so it's not an appropriate comparison. I'm staying in a 2-bedroom apartment here, and it's more than $3000/month. The plumbing fixtures are dilapidated, the carpets are filthy, the air conditioner system has the huge flaw in that it cools one room to 65 degrees while keeping the rest of the apartment at 80, and the windows are horrible at keeping noises out. The walls are thin so you keep hearing high pitched plumbing noises, and tile is dirty and very old. Just to make matters worse, the elevator doesn't work right now (7/26/2014). I basically can't find one thing that I like about this place besides the fact that it's fairly close to the hospital, and that's only because when I jump out the window in frustration, I'd like to be transported as quickly as possible to Ronald Reagan down the street. read more

I've been living here this past year and it's honestly such a nice apartment! The staff is amazing, really helpful and easily available. In case of an emergency, it is super easy to get hold of them. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen areas are nice too. I live with 3 other girls in a 2 bedroom and we pay a little over the average rent in atrium since ours is a big apartment but its worth every penny! There is a gym in the complex, a laundry service on the 2nd floor as well as a rooftop with a hot tub!! Its a pleasure living here tbh. The apartments come unfurnished but finding furniture from IKEA and free & for sale is not that tough at all and is actually fun cause you get to decorate your room the way you like it! There are mailboxes on the 1st floor and packages go straight to the main office where you can show ID proof and pick up your package from on your way in/out of the building. The location is ideal as its on Strathmore. Walking to classes takes around 15 mins and walking to westwood takes about 5 lol Overall, I love this place! 10/10 would recommend lol read more

Been living here since September 2016. Our apartment is absolutely grand and we love it. The management is among the best I've seen in Westwood and the upkeep is top notch. The hot tub, sun deck and gym are just added bonuses. Our only issue was the kitchen and bathroom equipment which isn't exactly in the best condition, although all of it still works perfectly well. Otherwise this is definitely one of the best apartment complexes for UCLA students, although slightly steep compared to apartments further north of Wilshire. The location is ideal and so convenient as both Westwood and campus are 10 minutes away. Would definitely recommend Atrium Court! read more

So, when you come in to rent, you'll probably hear about how nice the building is, and definitely hear about how it's a pleasant and quiet place to live. Yeah freakin right. As I write this review, I'm getting a headache for the third night in a row as I try and fall asleep to the sounds of thumping bass. If you try to talk to management about it, they "have talked to people" about it, but it definitely doesn't help. So, yeah, it's an alright place to live, but it's overpriced, and definitely really loud if ANYONE in the building decides to have a party. You'll hear it, and there's nothing you can do about it. Post move-out EDIT: Only got back ~25% of my security deposit because of some scuffs on the walls and stains on the carpet. Now, the scuffs on the wall were almost certainly normal wear, which CA law says I can't be charged for, and even if the stains on the carpet exceeded that, I was owed a free carpet cleaning from renewing my lease. Oh wait, the management company just settled a class action lawsuit over the same issue last summer. read more

This place is hot garbage. Shitty management, the company that owns it is even shittier. We had cockroaches on the third floor and we didn't get helped for weeks and even then they didn't fix the issue. Absolutely nothing wrong with our apartment and they took just about our entire security deposit. No drinking, no smoking, no parties, apartment was spotless yet they charged us 2,000 to paint the walls and fix the carpets which were slightly worn. We later found out that the carpets were 4 years old and the walls hadn't been painted in 3 years. scumbags, definitely don't live here and if you do, try to not put a security deposit down cus they'll try and take it. read more

Ohhhh Atrium court. Lived here during my first year at UCLA and had mixed experiences. Depending on the kind of person you are, this place will either be perfect or kind of annoying. Location: Very close to westwood village. I moved to kelton ave after this, so do not take the short walk to coffee bean for granted! Also really close to campus too. compared to most of my friends who lived on the hill, I would get to my apartment before my "on-campus" friends got to their dorms. It was pretty convenient to come home and make lunch on a 1.5 hour break between classes. Another thing to consider before moving here is that you have to walk up a giant hill past frat-house trashcans. I would hold my breath on my walk to class every morning and it could get really loud some nights if you're closer to the street. Rooftop: Speaking of food breaks, they have pretty big BBQ pits up on the roof. I used them 3-4 times during my stay, and most of the time they were clean(ish) and we only had to share once. Almost everyone who lives here is a college student though so people are relatively nice The view from the rooftop is to die for. I would love coming up here for study breaks to watch the sunset, or to relax in the jacuzzi after the long, dreadful, Powell library days. Apartment Unit: We lived in a pretty small 2 bed/2 bath unit that was just okay. You will pay a minimum of $3000 at the very least, and will probably get stained cabinets and questionable carpeting. It is a lot better than I've seen in other college apartments, but the units themselves have no "wow" factor. I would spend most of time on campus or on the roof, so it wasn't too bad. Management: They are pretty accommodating when forget your keys and are available to help most of the time. You have to be careful about getting your deposit back because the company is currently undergoing a lawsuit for taking too much without explanation. We had more than we thought was necessary taken out, but after reading the fine print on our lease we saw that we agreed to $200 of repairs without any receipts or explanation. Overall, my experience was okay. I probably would not live here again, but they have a lot to offer for a busy college student and I have a lot of friends that love it. read more

I've been living here for the last couple months and have been incredibly impressed with the staff and facilities. My roommates and I kind of got stuck here because we waited last minute to search for our apartment, but we really lucked out. We ended up paying a bit more than other options in Westwood, but we don't really feel ripped off since Atrium has all the details figured out. Our particular apartment seems less new than some of the others. I think they're in the process of remodeling the units, and ours just happens to not have been done yet (this is all speculation). There's a rooftop with bbqs and a hot tub, and nice laundry facilities, but the thing that really stands out is the staff. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The maintenance guys Carlos and Ramon are super friendly. They always lighten the day and make conversation. I heard that there used to be creepy management, but if that were the case, they've definitely changed hands now. All work orders are addressed promptly and without hassle. When I checked in they said that they seriously love fixing the place up. It seems like they do. Would absolutely recommend living here. read more

I have been living in Atrium for about two months now, and I am so pleased with this apartment complex!! Our unit is clean and modern which is great, but before moving in I underestimated how nice it is to have a manager working in the building, and maintenance workers around fixing and improving the building! Oscar has been such a friendly and welcoming manager, and goes above and beyond to help out with anything. Lenin is also very attentive and quick to help if we have any maintenance issues in our apartment. Atrium is clean, has great facilities for working out and laundry and is constantly being renovated in some way to make the place better for the residents. I would definitely recommend Atrium to anyone looking to rent in Westwood! read more

If I could give half a star, I would do so without hesitation. This apartment is, at the very least, extremely overpriced. For a 2 bed/ 2 bath you're looking at at least 3-3.5K a month, which does not include utilities, parking, or AUM, which is you paying to maintain the hall lights, elevators, hot tub, etc. the building itself is much older than it looks, and he plumbing is dilapidated to the point you're not sure when exactly you won't have any water for a couple hours. They try and notify you ahead of time, but it's 50/50 whether that will actually be when it's shut off. the building is fairly nice on the surface, but we moved in to an awful termite problem that took two tries to get rid of. That was only the first bug problem. The lease is inexcusably long and tedious, and outlines any way in which the company can squeeze more money out of you. If you don't want to read and sign 60+ pages of binding agreements, find another place. The management is very friendly, especially the repair/service workers, but they are not good at telling you what to pay or how much, and are always willing to under quote how much something will cost. Overall, the nice location and amenities don't come close to outweighing how insanely you will be charged, and good luck trying to put down a deposit on a new place with all the charges they slam you with on moving out. read more

For what is described as luxury apartments, I was very disappointed with my stay at the atrium - mainly due to the multiple violent break ins and frequent intruders. I expected the apartment to be well built and have nice appliances, but you can tell that the building was built quickly. Walls were so thin we could hear neighbors walking above us, Cabinets were falling apart, lights (which there was only a few) flickered from move in. However, the most frightening part of staying here was the frequent intruders that would break in. There was one particular break in that was violent and resulted in the victims having to escape for safety. The management barely addressed this situation or the victims - and just told us to "watch out for the perpetrator" who already had multiple criminal charges. Therefore, I never really felt safe in the complex and wouldn't recommend to any one who wants to feel secure in their apartment. I mainly feel that RB Selby is responsible because safety measures were not implemented after break ins. read more

I lived here from 2016-2017, and I must say, it was far less than ideal. The water was consistently shut off for repairs seemingly on a monthly basis, which was quite inconvenient at times. Also a very loud place to live and the management constantly failed to respond to the problem of the tenants above me making excessive noise until 3-4AM nightly. I submitted several complaints to them that were never addressed. The primary issue is the exit inspection when you move out. It is completely biased and subjective. They charged me and my roommates for "scuffs" on the wall that were there before we even moved in, after claiming that they had re-painted the whole apartment prior to us moving in. It was blatantly obvious that they just touched up scuffs on the wall. They will find very small, seemingly unnoticeable details and basically take most of your security deposit for it. I recommended they bring in a neutral third-party to conduct the inspection to avoid bias but they obviously objected to that. The manager has the final say even though we presented him sufficient evidence that the scuffs on the wall existed prior to us moving in. AVOID living here, don't be scammed! read more

Atrium is one of the most poorly managed buildings in Westwood, which is pretty funny considering they masquerade as one of the best. The management works really hard to come off as friendly and accommodating, but they are not really concerned with the residents well-being at all. They charge $2 for each machine used in the laundry room, and there has not been a time this entire year where all of the machines have worked. The washing machines often break down mid-cycle and leave our clothes soaking wet, leaving us to pay to wash them all over again. Some of the dryers do not even warm up, and instead just move soaking wet clothes around. If we ask to be refunded because of their poorly managed machines, they say it is not their problem and they can't do anything to help us. Every time I mention that the machines are broken, they say they have someone coming to fix them. If they do, they do a truly deplorable job at doing so. And here's the best part! They have been doing renovations all summer, which allegedly involves turning off all of the running water in entire portions of the building on any given day. They don't tell us which units are affected or at what time, they simply send an email a mere 24 hours in advance and tell us we may or may not have running water been 9am-5pm for an entire day. I don't know if they thought that this would affect less people because it is the summer, but countless people have been subletting and many subletters are asking for their money back. Not to mention during the year they would turn off the power and run fire alarms beginning at 9am to "see if they worked." Also if you are leasing for the year, they obviously have to show your apartment to potential residents. However, they only give 24 hour warning once again and claim that this is "ample warning." However there are many students that use their apartments to study or shower during these times, and once again they give a large time frame and threaten to enter your apartment at any time within that period. I have gone down and told them that there is a half hour period where I am getting ready for class that I would prefer for them not to do a tour, and they said that it didn't matter what inconvenienced us because showing the apartment (and getting more money) was clearly their priority. On that note, they will do everything that they can to charge us more money. If one thing goes wrong, they do everything in their power to charge more than is necessary. Overall, Atrium is run poorly, greedily, and with only fake regard for the need of the residents. I would recommend opting for any other building in Westwood to avoid being exploited and lied to. read more

The staff and faculties, including Property Manager Oscar, are all extremely considerate of your wants and needs and do everything within their power to make your living situation as comfortable as possible. They are really wonderful and will fix any issues you have with the complex or with your living situation the best they can with no questions asked. The only downsides I've experienced with Atrium are the janky elevators and the price is high... but in all I'd say the service and room features makes up for it by far. read more

Living in Atrium has been nothing but a positive experience. Not only do the amenities far exceed other locations in Westwood, but the environment and helpfulness of the staff are top-notch. Whenever we need something fixed in our apartment or have any questions, the staff are always doing as much as they can to make living here the best it can be. Also, Atrium has recently updated all of their apartment units so the kitchen and general spaces are very modern -- I would recommend that anyone, student or not, look into living in Atrium if you want to be in Westwood. The best part is everything is super close. It takes me no more than 15 minutes to walk to class at UCLA and no more than 10 minutes to get deep in the heart of Westwood. If I want to relax, I can go to the sunroof and jacuzzi and if I want to work out, Atrium has the best gym out of any of my friends' apartments. Living here has been the best! read more

Atrium court has been so perfect for me. The location is really close to Westwood and UCLA so my walk to campus is really convenient. Having a gym in the apartment complex is great and the machines are usually empty. Staff has been extremely helpful there is an issue with a payment or maintenance request. The staff and management are always very quick to respond to any issues and are very accommodating. The apartment itself is really nice to with a large living space and kitchen. I've had a great experience living in Atrium Court over the past year. I have a spacious apartment with a great view of West LA which I love waking up to in the morning. The office staff as well as the maintenance staff are very diligent and work hard to ensure that all the residents are happy living in the building. over all, my stay at Atrium Court, Apartments was probably better than other apartments in the Westwood area. These tend to be hot, crowded, and expensive. However the people at Adrian courts front office were very willing to help every time we had either issues, or other. however, the maintenance staff was probably the most punctual and useful people we had at the apartment. They were mainly involved in small tasks such as clogged drains, sync issues, and issues with the rain. must mention that especially for the apartment around of mine, drain issues during the rainy season ruined a part of the carpet. It seemed that almost every week we had to put in work orders for things that were either not working correctly or we were not able to maintain. that being said it was nice to have people come early and fix things that cannot be fixed ourselves. Not to mention, things like maintenance and broken hinges are not the fault of the people at the front nor is fault of the maintenance. As for everything else, parking was simple, spots were big, it was fairly easy to maintain even the carpet in our room,, and overall it was nice. read more

I've lived at atrium this past year since August and couldn't be happier all around! Management is committed to ensuring that its residents are happy with their experience, and they're just really nice people! Management and the maintenance staff are both very friendly and also really good at solving any issue in a quick and efficient manner. The gym, hot tub, and grills are always kept super clean! It's up Strathmore and takes like 10 minutes to get to class, and even less to get to Westwood. The mailboxes are on the first floor and packages go to the main office where you can pick them up easily. The laundry room is on the second floor and is really reasonably priced and clean, and there's even a cute courtyard area where you can study or just sit and enjoy it! In particular what makes Atrium stand out for me though is the quality of people who work there. I just can't get over how so many nice and attentive people work in 1 building! The manager Oscar is also the absolute best! I always feel confident that when I go to him with a question or a problem that he is going to help me, and he always does! Overall 10/10 I've had nothing but good experiences and memories living here! highly recommend! read more
