Completely unprofessionally. The driver illegally towed my car, I will be pursuing legal action.

As far as towing companies are concerned, they all suck. Nothing can blow the high of a wonderful day like returning to your car to find that it's not there. Such was the case for me on this beautiful Sunday afternoon! I parked in what I thought was an open lot in downtown Silver Spring. There was a sign that detailed the hourly rates to park there Monday-Friday and also Saturday. There was nothing listed for Sunday and there was no one working in the booth. Come to find out, there was a smaller sign that said parking without permit is reinforced 24/7. Damnit. So I give the towing number a call. Well actually, I gave the number a few calls. Call #1 Me: Hey, I believe my car has been towed. Where was it towed to? Tow guy: 8115 Fenton Street Me: That's walking distance from the lot it was towed from, right? Tow guy: Yes, it's about a 15 minute walk Me: How much is it going to cost me? Tow guy: $114...cash Call #2 Me: Can you confirm that you actually have my car? Tow guy: Are you a gray Corolla Me: Yes. Tow guy: I have your car Me: Ok, I'm on my way Call #3 Me: What time are you closing? Tow guy: I will wait for you mam Me: Ok, thanks. Is the lot obvious? Tow guy: No. Pass the big brick building after Silver Spring Avenue, turn left up the long driveway and then walk up the stairs in the back. Me: Ok, be there soon. Trust me, it looked shady. The driveway was bare, the lot was isolated, and this building with the creepy stairs in the back look semi-abandoned. I was on edge. I open the door, and a young guy was waiting in his office for me. He wrote me a receipt, took my money and even chatted me up. In fact, he was so nice that some of my towing bitterness subsided. Oh, and apparently Tabi Bonney just recently shot part of a music video here?? Gritty. He walked me to my car in the gravel filled parking lot, where his dog was chilling. His huge dog that looked like he SHOULD be mean, but wasn't. The same way this towing company looks like it SHOULD be shady, but isn't. read more

This place is an ABSOLUTE nightmare! They towed my car the FIRST day I parked at my new apartment, because the leasing office did not provide a parking permit (more on that in another review). The establishment (if you can call this place one), is extremely unprofessional - dont think any of these guys know what being professional means. I had to wait for 2.5 hours to get my car back, even though their towing notices clearly state that Montgomery county rules require them to provide 24*7 access to a car owner for him to retrieve his car. They don't return calls/ voice mails - I am pretty sure I called at least 25 times in a span of 2 hours (well, it was my beloved Pearl, my car in their mean possession and I was going berserk). After waiting in the sun for 2.5 hours, the guy finally saunters in, smirks at me when I tell him he should have been here before and then proceeds to tell me he does not have "office" keys which means i cant get a receipt. (@#$%^&*&^%$#$%^&*). Regardless, I am only happy to get out of here - he did end up emailing the receipt to me, so I am not complaining about that. I ended up getting my money back in full. It took about 6 weeks. I STRONGLY suggest you contact the Montgomery County Consumers Affairs Office at 240-777-3636 and file a complaint if you have been towed by this company after 11/30/2015. Maybe 1 1/2 stars, but OK... I called and got a quote of $55 for a tow +$3 per mile. The dispatcher said the driver would call me soon to let me know when he was on his way. 20 mins later he does and says he'll be there in 30 mins. So far so good. That was at 1:55pm. 50 minutes later, at 2:45pm, he calls to say he'll be there in 15 minutes. 35 minutes later, at 3:20pm, I call him to find out what's going on and he tells me he ran into traffic, it'll be 10 minutes. 10 minutes, really? Yes, really he says. 20 minutes later at 3:40pm he finally arrives, an hour and 15 minutes after he said he would. Picking up the car went smoothly, then we set it down and the next adventure begins. He asks me what price I was quoted and I tell him what the dispatcher told me: $55+$3. He calls in. The dispatcher disagrees, saying she said $65+$3 . At this point, I throw up my hands. Fine, whatever, just unhook my car and leave. Bottom line, for me, they did the job but took 3 1/2 times as long as they said they would and upped the price once the work was done. Would give this place negative stars if possible. Car was towed by mistake from my apartment. Trying to get it back was a nightmare. Called ahead to tell them we were coming. Arrived to a sketchy lot and an empty office (it is located in a the back of an alley, wouldn't go alone). After calling the number 3-4 they said someone would be there in 5 minutes. Waited well over an hour. The individual who arrived was hostile and rude. Disappointed that a reputable apartment management company would contract with such a sketchy, awful business. The only reason why they were even able to get a star from me was cause I could not have no stars! Where do I began...from the ride person on the phone when I asked for the address! Then the shady building its located in which has a key code to enter...which I called to get with an attitude for a response. Once we were in the building the suite number was listed wrong! To make matters worse they had us sitting outside the door for at least 35mins until someone answered to let us in! I have to say that Chanelle totally worked with me on behalf of a client after a legitimate but unethical tow. Parked for ten minutes with full intention to eat at the deli but ran across the street first for an errand. By the time client returned to his car it was being towed. Hmm where can I even start...If I can give this company a 0 star man I would in a heart beat.This company is the worst! My license got suspended because I did not take the plates off of my car when I got into an accident(which is my fault b/c it was the first time that has happened) I then handed over my title to gfn(good for nothing) towing because what was the point of me keeping a car that was completely totaled right? Anyways When I found out on the 16th that my license had been suspended because of this and that I needed a letter stating that I handed them over my title and that it was in fact towed I called them right away which was on the 16th. First a lady picked up and she just sounded like she would do and say anything to get me off the phone so of course she said she would have that to me as soon as possible. Mind you I could not go to work because I now had no license and live nowhere near a metro station. I then call the next day and the exact same thing happened except this time it was a guy. On the 18th I called once again and mind you I call them more than once a day and it is now the 18th and I am getting the same response. On the 20th A guy that I had not spoken to yet did help me by sending me an invoice so I took it to the DMV unfortunately they couldn't help me out because they needed it on a letter head and with my name and also stating that I handed them the title. Ok so im calling them while at the DMV and the guy says in order for him to write me a letter it will cost me $150. I never laughed so hard in my life! So, he says he is going to help me and of course this Lazy son of a B***h does not.I get home and give them a call once again and still NADA!! It is now the 23rd and they finally sent me the golden email (literally because it most have been gold ink since it took so F*****G long) Now before I start cracking up again, Shanell the so called "manager" Had way to may Typos and the letter did not make any sense. Also Where the F**K is my name? And why in the world is it saying my car was "abandoned" when I handed over my title. Beware! Did you know that ATT = Aggressive Towing & Transport, Inc. = is the full legal name of this completely shady operator? Completely slimy and how aptly named! They are predatory towers in Silver Spring. ATT illegally towed my car last night outside of a restaurant from a public parking lot. After I paid highway robbery to retrieve my car, I discovered my car's coolant system suddenly started gushing below like a broken pipe, apparently from a puncture to the undercarriage where ATT's tow truck had attached to the front end underneath. I had to call AAA for assistance and the AAA driver confirmed the puncture was directly caused by the negligent ATT tow truck driver who did not attach the tow to the car properly. ATT is exactly the kind of company that Montgomery County legislators are taking action against for predatory towing. Don't ever use ATT! read more

Let me begin with this Unprofessional Female Staff. She is rude, disrespectful and doesn't deserve a job. I have called since last Monday trying to reach the manager because the tow truck driver broke my shifter cable when he towed my truck. She has repeatedly cut me off while talking and hangs up when you ask to many questions. I was told not to call the tow truck company anymore because I would get nothing accomplished with an attitude. but clearly she is the one with the attitude. My vehicle is stuck in drive and I can not get it into gear. And to top it off I have not been to work in a week. This type of behavior is unacceptable. The funny part is that's her job not mine. This is a horrible towing company. Their location is very shady and they are not readily available. They towed my car from the parking lot in front of my apartment and they took it more than 20 miles away! They charged me about $170 and I had to wait for 2 days before I could get my car back. They tow the cars very badly and damage them in the process. They damaged the front passenger door when they tried to tow the car. I also had the hand breaks on - so apparently they just dragged the car like that and I could see dark black tire tracks in the parking lot! Stay away from this company. Att towing is a class A tow company! I had to call them when I got in a car accident and they sent someone over very quickly! I've used tow companies in the past were the staff were rude and I had to wait for hours to get picked up. Completely the opposite with them. Had to use them as the police called them after our car was totaled. had to meet with twice first time the man was 20 min late and then next time he was over an hour late. Very unhelpful. It was pouring with rain when I had to meet him - he did not get out of his truck had to go to him! He also told me that he had no tools to help me take off the license plate. - I do not walk around with tools in my handbag! the garage next door the mechanic was helpful and took of the plate for me. This company stinks. I had my work truck towed from my own apartment last night. I will admit that it looks like my pass either fell on the floor or was covered with papers so that is my bad. The problem is no one will answer the phone, I can't leave a message and the office is vacant despite the posted hours of 8:30 a.m. Its one thing to tow my truck, but at least have the decency to answer your phone!!!! My vehicle was towed from in front of my parking complex sometime before 12:30am on October 8, 2013. I proceeded to locate the sign for the towing company and found that ATT Towing was the responsible party. On their signage, it also states that "State law requires the vehicle to be available for reclamation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week." I promptly call the phone number listed on the sign and it went straight to a forwarded number's voicemail with no business information given--only the generic message with the phone number. After repeatedly calling both numbers for 45 min I finally received a call back from a third number. The man on the other line asked me where my car was towed from and after I told him said he would call back in a minute, this was at 1:14am. I called the first number back at 2:07am and continued to make calls to all three numbers until 3:11am to no avail. All of my calls were sent to the one phone number's voice mail. When I called again at 6:01am someone finally answered the phone and then when I said that I had been calling since 12:30am regarding my towed vehicle the man who answered told me that I would have to wait until 10am to get my car. When I told him that was unacceptable he said there was no one available and then hung up on me. Any property that chooses to use them for a towing company should reconsider. ATT violated County Code by not having anyone on staff at the impoundment area or to answer a call. My family was stranded for two hours before someone showed up. They also did not post the rates on site and charged me twice for the service. Beware. read more

These guys are the epitome of a horrible towing service. I had my car towed at 2:30 AM from a visitors lot (the wall said visitor parking across it). Even the apartment complex I was parked out said this was an "out of line" tow, as I wasn't in the wrong. They tried to charge me $125.00 but I called their bullshit and got it lowered a bit, but still had to pay a good chunk of change for their error. They also tow cars WITH E-brakes still on. This has the potential to totally damage the vehicle. As an individual, if you get towed by these guys, stand your ground. They operate in a completely shady environment, office included. They didn't even have a ticket for my tow, the driver said he never wrote one. I've reported them to the state for inquiry, hopefully they are done by years end. If you are a property owner, parking lot owner, or someone needing a tow, DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. Bad Business, Bad Attitude, and Shady Company. I hate this place. My friends car got towed here and it was an accident that happened in Rockville--- makes me wonder why they took it to silver spring almost dc. Then we called about 10 times to let them know we were coming, to see if they were open, to see if they should be there and when we got there NO ONE WAS THERE. The "manager" went home early, 3 hrs early. They told us he was on the way back. TOOK HIM 2 HOURS TO GET BACK!!! there were 6 other people waiting for this mofo. Despite the negative reviews about ATT Towing, I had a positive experience. Mind you, I was not towed from a lot, but had a breakdown. My clutch cable broke on my way home from work two days ago. I called a couple of other towing companies who either sent me elsewhere or would have taken 90 minutes to get to me. I called ATT and they were able to have someone to me in about 45 minutes. The driver was a very polite young man who took care in hooking up my car and in driving to the repair shop I wanted to use (which was only a mile away). My car was towed, so I called ahead before I went to go pick it up. The person on the phone said to come right away. I got to the building, but was not able to go inside because of the key-code on the door. I called back to be let in but was told that I would need to wait 20 minutes for the driver to get back. Two hours, and several phone calls later (each time I was told that he was fifteen minutes away and that they would call me back if it would be longer, they never did) I was able to pick up my car. Customer service from the people on the phone (who are apparently located off-premises) was horrible. Customer service from the driver, when he eventually showed up, was no better (He offered no apology of any sort when I told him how long I had been waiting). Obviously, one does not always get to chose who tows the car, but if I had a choice, I would not use any of the services from ATT. I was also charged 140 dollars, but told that my invoice would need to be emailed to me, and that a receipt could not be printed. Very unprofessional, but I would not expect much more from this hole-in-the-wall. read more

My car broke down i called them to get it the driver was involved in an accident ,my car was totaled so the insurance paid for there half of the total but att towing also owed the other half because of their deductible it has been going on for months and no one will return my calls to try to pay me also i get the run around every time i call people i plead with you don't use this company it is not worth the frustration or headache dealing with them. read more

Worst place ever everytime you call is bulls... With these people have a sign saying they open from 8 to 5 but I had to wait for two hours for them to open the freaking place up and then all this charges that they came up with, so gar is the worst place ever, customer service sucks and they are very irresponsable. We were visiting our son and to help him when he had his shoulder surgery. We arrived at his apartment, Silver Spring House, and all the visitors spots were filled. He told us where to park and we did. There are signs in the lot that parking without a sticker would mean you can be towed. The sign also included the name of the towing company and its phone number. We got up early Friday morning and were ready to leave for his surgery at 7:00 AM. We noticed that our car was no longer there. We had no time for anything sod we took his car for his surgery. After several calls we did find that ATT towing took the car. We left numerous messages with the leasing office but found out they were closed on that Friday but would be open on Saturday. Upon talking with the office we were told that they do not enforce towing and in fact the signs are there just to give the impression that towing will happen. Also the office said that ATT did NOT have a contract with the apartment complex and we should be able to get the $124 I spent to spring my car. The rental office did a nice job and we did get all of our money back. THE IMPORTANT MESSAGE HERE WAS THAT ATT TOWING STOLE, THAT'S RIGHT, STOLE OUR CAR AND IF WE DID NOT COMPLAIN WE WOULD HAVE PAID $124 TO GET OUR STOLEN CAR BACK. ATT towing had no business taking a car from a private property when they have no contract with that private party. If we did not get our money back I was ready to call Montgomery police and report that ATT towing stole the car. PLEASE, IF YOUR CAR IS TOWED I WOULD FIRST MAKE SURE THE TOWING COMPANY HAS THE AUTHORITY TO TOW, OTHERWISE IT IS AUTO THEFT. read more
