Now let me set the stage, we were behind a 3 some and every time we got to the next hole we needed to wait for them to finish. (Rightfully so as they were booked back to back) A gentleman rolled up when we were on hole 4, just finishing up, and proceeded to tell us to play faster, when I told him that we needed to wait every time we got to a hole for the gentlemen ahead of us to finish he was rude and told us we needed to just play faster and he said there was a hole between us and the next Players. We proceeded to finish that hole and got to hole 5 - a PAR 3 130 Yards!!! We finished that quickly and proceeded to hole 6 where we ended up waiting to once again play again!!! There was a twosome behind us that never caught up and had to wait for us so if we were delaying the game I think it would have been apparent if they were continuously waiting for us! I don't think this is acceptable behavior and will most likely never return! I get it's a busy day but as a worker know your audience, know what's happening and don't be rude to customers who have paid a good penny to play a round with 4 people on Father's Day!!! We were seated at a table overlooking the beautiful golf course. Such a beautiful sight at sunset! For me Friday night can only mean one thing, and that is a beer battered fish fry with French fries. My fish fry was delicious, but the french fries were ice cold. The waitress very graciously replaced them with steaming hot fresh french fries. My husband ordered the turkey gravy mashed potatoes plate. It looked wonderful. He thoroughly enjoyed his dinner.

The course was in amazing shape and they are in the process of adding a lot more to the practice area and they are working on running a cart path along all 18 holes. It's a little pricey, but seeing how they are doing what they can to make the course better, makes me feel like it's worth it to play there. They even have a PGA professional there now offering lessons and other coaching. I feel like they are doing a great job at being a great, more inexpensive option than going to Ivy Ridge or Arrowhead nearby. The course itself is beautiful and not too challenging. It offers a few challenging holes and there are no bunkers so it's honestly a great place for all skill levels.

It's one of the best golf courses in WNY, so if you don't like long rounds, get a dewsweeper tee time like I did or play in the afternoon. Anything in the late morning or early afternoon means the course will be packed. It's beautiful there and the for t nine starts you out with a relatively flat layout and then the back takes you up and down in elevation where the ski slopes would normally be. Hole 11 is really tough with a narrow landing area and a ravine to hit over to get to the green. Beautiful golf course and well worth a trip to Ellicottville and playing a little more to play a round there.

Course was in decent shape but the starter/Marshall was constantly yelling at us for "slow play". We, our foursome, were objectively not playing slow. I know this because I don't like slow players. However, I don't like to feel rushed either. The carts will beep at you, then lock up if are deemed to be in a "restricted area". Our group understands golf etiquette. If the group ahead of us was out of hitting distance we all shot. Golf is an expensive game and we all took off work for it too. We are the customer and let me tell you, we did not feel like the customer.
