The toppings reached edge to edge, creating a pizza that was hearty, flavorful, and impossible to put down. Please pencil in a visit to The Deli on a Wednesday to grab one of their pizzas. Mario (the owner) was behind the counter & served the food. He was very personable and came around to check if everything was ok. The soups today were roasted red pepper and minestrone. I had the roasted red pepper and one of my friends had the minestrone. Both were good size servings, I thought mine was very good as did my friends. I ordered the eggplant stacker (eggplant medallions layered with fresh mozzarella & tomato w/ pesto drizzled with evoo & balsamic glaze & served on a bed of spinach). My friends ordered arancini, beet salad and eggplant caprese. We all enjoyed our lunch. Sadly we were so busy talking that I forgot to take pics. Take my word for it, definitely worth a try. The smell alone was enough to turn your stomach. This isn't a locker room. It's not a sidewalk. It's a place where people come to eat and drink. There was no awareness, no courtesy, no basic respect for shared space. It was uncomfortable, unhygienic, and frankly shocking to witness in a setting that otherwise prides itself on atmosphere. The bakery deserves praise for its food and environment, but management needs to step in and set clear expectations. Allowing behavior like this diminishes the experience for everyone else.
