I came in for my granddaughter who wanted blue highlights and showed her the picture of what she wanted. Jenny the owner said she can do it but it would take a bleaching process. My granddaughter has never bleached her hair before and I was skeptical in her approach. I have never seen such disgusting situation in my life on how she dropped some tubing of color onto the floor and picked it up with her fingers and continued to rub it on my granddaughters hair. Very unsanitary, also she kept trying to tell me that her hair was blue but clearly wasn't! I advise everyone to go elsewhere, bad experience and would not recommend. read more

She claims to barely speak English, after saying she has been in the USA over 10 years.. She fucked up my hair, cut half of it off, didn't allow me to use the first time customer coupon, so her tip was the end of what she quoted me. Anything I said she was doing wrong, she got really annoyed with me at, note there were NO other people in the place. She's rude, lies, can't take criticism, and is a horrible stylist. Whom isn't customer service driven. Very rude if you take any time to think. She gets mad for no reason. Only reason i gave it a two star is because i have had my hair cut at Attitudes in the past and did like it. However, the haircut the first time was not from Genny (an Asian gal) which i went in and asked for a neck trim. 1. It normally it is free at all Salons. 2. She cut other part of my hair like around my ears 3. She butchered around my ears where both sides are uneven. Needless to say, if i were to have a toddler, i would be able to say they could have done better. read more

I found out about this salon after scouring reviews online, and saw that most people were pretty happy with them. I've been going to this salon for the last 2 years or so - I used to see Kelly but she left. :( I figured I'd give someone else a shot, so the last time I went I got an appointment with Noelle. She did a great job, and didn't rush through my haircut. I'm happy with my cut and I'll be returning to have her cut my hair again. :) The prices are very reasonable, and I make a 20-25 minute drive to get there because it's worth it to have a decent haircut and not a 10-minute rush job that I always get at Great Clips or those other chain haircut places. read more

I would not normally write a review unless it was a very great or very bad experience. And most of all for someone else but after seeing their hair and how upset my two best friends are... They had an appointment with the owner Jenny and she did not listen to what they wanted done to their hair in fact did the exact opposite. And even when she asked if one of my best friends "wanted layers" and when she said no she immediately gave her layers. I would not recommend any one going here. Especially after seeing all the bad reviews on a single person it was weird for me. This salon is not an experience I would want for anyone. Both me and my mom came to get our hair died a new color expecting the results to be pleasing. I came in with a picture and explained I wanted medium brown hair the salon agree and after the coloring process the result was dark black leaving me in a complete shock. I explained that I was not happy with this dark color considering the fact that I am pale in complexion.i asked if I could schedule an appointment to get my hair back to normal. I came to this salon on a reference of a friend. And I was pleasantly surprised at how honest the stylist was. I it when the stylist that is cutting my hair will tell me when something doesn't look good and gives me different options. The woman cutting hair was very friendly and nice and talked to the whole time and made me feel comfortable. The only thing I have to say is I think they should update the salon a bit. New chairs, wider shelf under the mirror so customers have a place to put their purses. But overall I had a great experience. read more

Brought in a picture to show to Jenny and thoroughly explained what I wanted as far as layers. She cut the layers so thick and short that I had to have 3-4 inches taken off at the bottom to make it somewhat thicker looking. I have really thick hair and literally left with a mullet. I read the reviews on her and left pretty shocked at how terrible my hair looks. I'm sure she does fine with a standard cookie cutter hair cut but PLEASE do not go here if you have long hair and are looking for a specific style. read more

I'll start off my review by saying that I'm extremely disappointed with almost all aspects of my experience with this salon. Keep in mind, I have worked at three different salons, so I'm fairly well-versed in salon terminology and procedures. I called to schedule an appointment for a balayage and a trim, and was pretty much booked right away. That, in and of itself, should have been a bad sign, because it was a Saturday and most salons are busy on Saturdays. I will say my stylist, Andrea, was incredibly nice. She greeted me, took me back to her chair, and we vaguely talked about what I wanted before she was confident in getting to work. I want to start off by saying the positive things; Andrea seemed the most friendly out of all the stylists standing around, and my haircut turned out exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, my hair color did not. In fact, after getting home and styling it as I normally do, it was terrible. Big chunks of random bleach spots, strands that are blonde and brown streaked, almost reminiscent of a cheetah, and just overall a low quality job. The color of the strands themselves were nice, however, just very poorly done. The way they have you check out once your done makes the experience all the more terrible. I knew I wasn't going to be completely happy with the job she did, and as Andrea herself walked me to the till, I knew I'd have to tip her to avoid an awkward moment. It was only her and one other stylist there, so I felt obliged to fake-happy to avoid hurting her feelings. I called back the next day to express my concern and was told the manager would call me back. That's when things got REALLY interesting. In my humble opinion, the owner of the salon should really rethink who they have speak for their company when it comes to discrepancies. She gave me the option to see the same lady to fix it (awkward - also, who wants to see the same person who messed up with them already?) or to see another stylist who would charge me full price for their services. I'm sorry... What? Those are my options? It was also mentioned to me that I could not see her, the manager, because she was "booked out until almost Christmas, it's not like I can just squeeze a balayage onto my books." Well that's sure neat and convenient for the customer. At this point in time, I'm more disgruntled with the way I was treated by the manager and the lack of options she gave me to make things right, than I am with the original stylist! Bottom line, SAVE YOUR MONEY!! I now have to pay to get my hair redone by a more trusted salon. This place radiates low-budget and I now know where they got the name "Attitudes." read more

I went here to get my hair colored and relax with my mom and it was a nightmare. First the girl acted like she couldn't be bothered to help me and then when it was all settled she shouted to me from across the salon about what I wanted to do. She did not approach me to discuss what my needs were like other salons. She did not have any hosting skills present. Then when it came to the color she did not share with me swatches that I wanted done she just mixed what she wanted and colored away. When it is break time she drops what she is doing and goes outside for a smoke... no notice nothing just walks away and leaves me hanging. When I was drying I thought I wasn't getting enough color and then she went outside and I was left to over process. During this mix my moms dog was there and frightened the owner and she made a big fuss over it (the girl doing my hair) the owner then got into my moms face and asked if she wanted to conversation. The salon swears that we left dog feces there which is false. The manager couldn't be less concerned about customer service verses being deflective of the things I experienced. Never would any of this happen at Gene Juarez. I was a bundle of nerves when I left and worse when the mgr states that she wants a statement from me. Three weeks after the incident the mgr still cant be reached to give the statement to. Then when I finally do reach her she states that the staff feels that I have called 7 times that day to reach her (I wish I had that much time to obsess over this) and that they can't figure out what the issue is. What did I expect??? Someone to step up and say this is my real email address (yes, I got a fake one) and I want to address your concerns like an adult, responsible manager of the salon. None of that has happened, and now I am wearing a hair color that I did not agree to, from a salon that is scary in the services and the troubleshooting of concerns. I am feeling that this is best resolved with the BBB of that area. This email is a warning of what can happen to you also. I am not saying everyone gets this treatment, but I can say that I did and it is traumatizing as a client. Be ware of what you ask for and what happens during the services. read more

I visited this salon based on the reviews and I was extremely disappointed. Jenny the owner cut my hair and didn't listen to a thing I said about my hair. I feel like she did not understand what I was requesting perhaps due to a language barrier. I have naturally curly hair. I would recommend that if you have curly hair or medium to long hair that you try another salon. I think her specialty is senior ladies as that is the only clientele that I saw while I was there waiting. I expressed my concerns to her but we were unable to resolve it so I just paid her and left. Jenny was really nice but dos a terrible job with my hair. She didn't listen to the multitude of comments about how I like to enhance my natural curl, hate having it too long so it pulls out my curls on top, and would never wear my hair straight as it would look terrible. She was very detailed but clearly the curly hair girl on the sign is poor advertising. She may be fantastic with other hair types but not mine. The more I see it, the more I hate it. We called and to see they could shave in a Seahawks logo on my husbands head for the big game, we called and she said they could do it and to come in now. When we got there, she began clipping up my husbands hair, we had just clipped it at home, and did not request that. She cleaned up some on the neck line hair and asked if we liked it, I asked why she hasn't started the design, and the lady said she didn't have the right tools!! Are you kidding me! We called before to make sure and she said yes! She charged my husband too, she didn't seem to understand what was going on (language barrier). I asked for a refund since she really didn't do anything, and she didn't know how to refund the amount to our card on the credit card machine, she then asked us if we knew how... I've always had good experiences here with one exception. I showed up for my 9am appt to locked doors and closed sign. I was called 10 minutes later by the stylist to tell me she wasn't going to make it. She apologized and I understood things happen. I was not upset at all, especially when she told me my haircut would be on them next time. however, 2 weeks later when I went in, I was forgotten about and never offered the free cut. read more

We have had great experiences every time going to this salon. I get my boys' (6 and 3) hair cut here and we see Jenny. She earned their trust immediately and my little one will sit in the chair without sitting in my lap now which is a blessing for me. I went here to get a trim on my hair. This as the worst cut I have ever gotten. I asked for long layers, but the owner, Jenny, used the thinning sheers all around my head, she cut my then-long bangs to be a little over an inch long, my long length was now chopped and, well, to put it nicely, it was a a horror. During my visit the manager, Jen (yes there are two people with the similar names here), who was sitting at her station and styling her own hair was very loud and definitely opinionated about her obsession over Dr Phil and how she was attracted to him. Not really appropriate conversation in a workplace especially where customers can hear. I left and called back to talk to the manager (not knowing it was Jen.) I left her three messages and instead of her calling me back, I decided to walk in to talk to her. "At that time" she was understanding and gave me three free haircuts with Noelle spaced 6 weeks apart for each appointment. Okay...So this seems like a reasonable correction to Jenny's mistake. In the meanwhile, I have two haircuts from Noelle and my hair was finally growing out. Then, I get a phone call right before the third appointment telling me that Noelle no longer worked for Attitudes. Jen's only solution was to come in and have Jenny (the same person who ruined my hair) do the final cut. NO WAY was I going to let Jenny near my hair when she ruined it the first time. So, mgr Jen hung up on me. I called back and she continued to say how she had every right to refuse service to anybody she wanted, she yelled a few choice words at me and hung up (after I said I would just settle this through the BBB.) read more

If I could give a ZERO star?? It would be for this .... nightmare salon. The owner was an asian lady and she had offered to cut my hair as I was a walk in. She did a BIG TIME chop job on me!! I was literally nearly bald in the back because she had cut it so short. She offered to fix it, and tho I never would never usually have insisted on somebody else finishing a hair cut, it was THAT BAD. I paid only because the gal who fixed it didn't need to own my issue. She actually offered me a free 2nd visit. NEVER went back -- but it didnt matter enough apparently because nobody ever called or mailed a coupon for product or anything to try and make it feel like they cared! I don't know that she had ever cut hair before!! My hair was so short that there was little she could do to make it better. WHY did she not say they were booked! Jenny cuts my hair, the language barrier is a bit tough but she's very friendly and cuts my hair exactly how i ask. the salon is a bit dated, but for the price you can't complain. they have a few toys in their waiting area that are enough to keep my 3 yr old busy during a quick cut. My 3 older teens and I used to get our hair cut here for years. I always saw Sara and my girls would see whoever was available. The prices were great and we were always happy with the haircuts we received. A few years ago Attitudes was bought out by a gal named Jenny. Once when Sara wasn't available, I tried Jenny for both a cut and eyebrow wax. Big mistake as she did a terrible job on both. Not to panic, I would just make sure to book my future appointments well ahead of time to make sure I would get Sara. Well one by one I noticed the regular stylist leaving and then Sara left. Oh no! I'm guessing the salon started getting the bad reviews about the new owner and the regular stylist felt the need to get out. We got out too. Folks this place is not the same as it was when the reviews were good. I wish it was as I'm still trying to find a good, local salon that doesn't charge an arm and a leg for just a hair cut. read more

Very bad experience. Made an appointment for haircoloring and asked for Noelle, had to wait for about five days, because Noelle needs more time for coloring. Of course! So I went in at 4.00 pm and did have to wait.so far, so good! Three teenagers walked in and needed a haircut, one of them needed a totally new coupe. Two stylists started already with the easy "one's" and Noelle was almost done with the foiling. My experience always is, that the stylist put me under a kind of dryer and check every 10 a 15 minutes my hair. Noelle was working for that haircooupe, for almost one hour. Was just sitting there in that salon, no checking, no dryer. Did not look very happy and showed that. It was not Noelle's fault, their appointment system sucks. The lady (also a stylist), who was constantly sitting behind the desk, did just one haircut and Noelle had to wipe that hair away. Also Noelle had to answer the telephone, when that lady just was cutting. Noelle told me, she was stressed and that she regulary thas two appointments at the same time. She apologized a lot, did a bad haircut and also forgot to trim my neck. Probably, I made her nervous. Left at 7.00 pm. Go back to my hairstylist, who is more expensive, but a lot better attention and service. read more
