So I called about 6:20pm to see if they can take me gel manicure and pedicure. They did, so inwent they took me right away. Did my hands and feet together, which I actually preferred. I made an appointment for pedi and full set of acrylic nails and was given a price for acrylic over the phone. As soon as you sit down the price goes up by $5 and they do not listen AT ALL to want you like or want. I asked for Almond shape ...she gives me claws. The owner came over to see what was going on and kept repeating they look like claws not almond and did not correct her she just was more concerned about her extra $5. Dao was amazing. She took me as a full set walk in towards close on a Friday - which I know may be risky and rude of me! She was thorough, kind, and detailed. She helped pick a better quality polish and tried to make my set as natural and long lasting as it could be. My only complaint was the location itself was quite dirty. My polish was covered in nail dust and materials which doesn't entice me to choose it over other places. I totally would go only for Dao!! She was wonderful and so sweet! My go to since 2015. It's a love-hate relationship and I've cheated here and there at other salons but I always go back so I guess that says it all. They do the best job for the area, for hands. Their pedicures aren't the best not even their spa pedicures so if you want a really good pedicure go down the street to Fendi Nails instead. While I still search for a place that will do Cardi B style acrylic designs like NYC or LA, I continue going to them for now as they're the next best thing, besides Leon in Waltham who in my opinion charges too much but is able to do the look I'm going for. read more

How the mighty have fallen. While some of the techs there still do a great job, for the most part, I get abysmal results here. Not sure why I kept coming back. After a hiatus, I returned a while back and found many of the older staff had left. One man I had working on my nails had cuts on his hands, which seriously grossed me out. I smudged a nail grabbing my purse when I thought I was dry, and to fix it, he globbed so much paint on it that it smudged a bit in the shower the next morning. Another guy left polish on the skin around my fingers. But it's not just the men! Yesterday, I went in for a quick manicure and my nails came out looking so nasty I asked them to remove the polish. The tech was too lazy to cut my cuticles back enough so she painted over my skin. She gave the wimpiest hand massage ever, like she was completely apathetic. Last summer, I went in with a friend and asked for a pedicure and they set me up with my feet soaking and said to wait five minutes. 25 minutes later, I put my shoes back on and left. I have had a few good experiences in semi-recent history; one tech was fast and so skilled with black polish that she didn't even need to clean around the skin on my hands, and the manicure didn't chip for over a week. One lady is super sweet(the owner?) and has done free polish fixes without charging me(despite my open admission that the original job was done at another salon). I wish she'd take these reviews to heart and fire all the people there who really suck, then do a serious deep clean, and reopen with better staff. I'm no longer taking my chances and will stick to nail salons closer to home from now on. read more

Please note: this review was written an hour later after being serviced. Went here on a whim after an early morning meeting. Salon wasn't full. The tech rushed the pedicure, hardly touched my cuticles but chose instead to dig into my skin. The so called massage was her basically rubbing one spot on my legs over and over with the harsh scrub. She waited after painting my toes to apply lotion which means my toes are now dry and ashy. The nail pain application was HORRIBLE. With white, you can't skimp and she did. One brush dip into the bottle DOES NOT give adequate paint for all four to five toes! Worst of all, she waits until after my pedicure to ask me to sign a document stating I wouldn't hold the salon liable should I contract COVID. Seriously? The form also asks for my personal info and to check off which service I had. I promptly refused. This is a salon, not a hospital. Spend your money elsewhere. These nail salons are just manufacturing belts with the intent to poop you out ASAP for the highest price. Upon my exit, a woman stopped me to ask about the salon. I'm just glad I could help another woman not waste her precious dollars with a business that won't deliver. You've been warned. read more

Went in for a pedicure with my friend who wanted a mani. I was told the wait was 15-20 mins which was fine. They put my feet in the water after 20 mins and my friend didn't get her mani started until 45 mins later. She was very haphazard with my pedi. I had to ask her to remove the nail polish she left on my skin and there's still quite a bit she left. She didn't file my toenails at all, I could have done a better job myself. The lotion they used smelled very generic, like a hand soap that you would use in a public restroom. Overall was unimpressed, won't be back. read more

I really hate to do this because I really love Kim ... Hopefully she will see this and make some changes I went in for the first time in a long time a couple of weeks ago I got a dip for the first time I wasn't thrilled with it and I hated the color which I feel I was forced into because the tech was breathing down my neck while I was trying to choose The dip lasted a good 2 weeks that was at least a plus ... I went in last Friday to have the polish removed I decided I would give my nails a rest and get a regular manicure for a change .... This is where the problem is ... Nobody ( not just this place ) knows how or cares enough to do a decent manicure anymore ... It's all about the gel and the dip !!! She stripped my nails of the dip leaving a bumpy and uneven surface that she didn't really bother to correct ..Slopped on a base coat , two thick coats of polish and a top coat in about 15 minutes time then rushed me out of her chair !! Never even checked if they were dry !! I'm not sure what exactly the problem is ... There is a rushed get 'Em in get 'Em out mentality in just about every salon I have tried lately let's say post Covid I decided to post this because this is the second time I have had this experience in this salon which I had previously frequented for years The first manicure post Covid was done by a young and inexperienced young man ... I didn't want to get him in trouble so I kept quiet and chose not to return ...I decided to give them another try after having one crappy manicure after another since January 22 ... Both times my polish was smudged and almost off by the time I got home...I am not a difficult client and always leave a 10 dollar tip This time especially it was not well earned or deserved ... I did go back the following day to show Kim how bad it was .... All she said was ... Oh it wasn't dry as if it were somehow my fault ... They were busy I told her I would be back on Monday but after looking at my nails breaking and splitting and this atrocious half assed manicure I was not in the mood to go back considering the same careless person would be correcting her mistake ... I was so angry I wasn't sure I could sit across from her without saying something I'm really sorry to have to post this and I'm also sorry because they have lost me as a customer ... I am leaving 2 stars for the atmosphere which I always enjoyed it's like old home week if you're from Watertown which I am and always end up bumping into someone I know ... That I will miss ... I've been getting my nails done for a long time. Gel, every two weeks. Today I went here instead of my usual spot and it was not good. They didn't have a good selection of colors for gel. Then they had some problem with getting the gel to stay on my fingers. They used one of those grinders they use on acrylic nails and now my finger nail is so flimsy. They even charged me full price to mess my nails up. If my nail breaks I'm going to be pissed! I only have time to get my nails done every other weekend. Not cool. read more

Everyone here is amazing. They're knowledgeable and professional and very talented. Every time I go in there is hardly a wait and they are fantastic at doing any design I've asked. I look forward to going in every time. They're consistent in what you get there are no bad technicians. My only word of advice is if you want to tip bring cash as they have no ATM and you can't tip on your card receipt. They are worth the visit. Highly recommend them. read more

I've been so lucky to have found this nail salon. Every single person who has done my nails (I do acrylics) or pedicures have been just incredible. I had them done today from Tim and I don't like them very long. He did a wonderful job on my nails today! They came out perfect! I've had Kim, Jenny and Belda (not sure I'm spelling names correct). The work they do is simply the best and I am very fussy. I totally recommend this place. Very clean environment as well. read more

Probably the best place to get your nails done in Watertown which doesn't say much because they're all terrible. Some ladies here are better manicure than others, and so my most recent experience yielded almost as much nail polish on my skin as my nails. From a distance they look fine, but as soon as you actually look close up all you can see is polish on the skin. I'm home now and currently peeling a bunch of it off. Definitely a great place for a $32 mani/pedi if you do it on a regular basis and want the value. The owners are really nice & pleasant, and all of their techs provide thorough service. The pain job is always streak-free and lasts at least a week. They just got new spa chairs, which is nice. Yes, they are Vietnamese-owned, and the shop's decor is a little outdated. They do have a tendency to chatter a lot amongst themselves, but they are way nicer than some places I've been to. Just know that they aren't going to offer the fancy service that a fancy day spa offers, but for $32 I'll take it. Ask for Ashley, she's young & hip & speaks English well. read more

I went back for a pedicure recently and I've decided to downgrade a star. This place seems a bit dirtier and the woman even less friendly than before. I specifically asked the woman to not cut my cuticles on my toes because she seemed liked she wasn't paying close attention. I prefer not to bleed during my pedi. However, I had to ask her 3 different times to please not cuticles. She just couldn't stop herself I guess. There are way too many other places around to keep going here. read more

I went in the other day for a gel manicure. The colors were all shoved in a plastic basket. Call me picky, but I prefer to see them lined up on a shelf so I can compare. The polishes jumbled together in a basket pretty much sums this place up. It was dingy and depressing, and the main thing I noticed was all the old Dunkin Donuts coffee cups on the manicure tables. Gross! The lady who did my nails was probably the owner since she was the one speaking to customers and calling the shots. She made two different fingers bleed when she was cutting my cuticles, one of which really hurt and is now scabbing up. She was very apologetic but it just seemed careless, especially after the first time. Otherwise my nails look pretty nice. It was a good enough no frills manicure but I don't think I'll be going back. I'd rather not pay for pain and blood. read more

Clearly they are a popular place, because you can almost never walk in for a service, and get the technician you want. Attractive nails did a fabulous job. I received a pedicure and a manicure. The manicure was done in a comfortable chair. They use an exfoliating wash for your legs, they scrub for a good couple of minutes. Same with the lotion, they weren't in any rush and I immediately began to feel relaxed and sleepy in my chair. One thing I personally notice about Pedicure's is how long they take at each thing they do and are they paying attention. Attractive nails blows everyone I've been too out of the water in this area. I was a little worried about getting back to work on time but realized I can only squeeze one thing in instead of two next time since they pamper you here. My toes looked fabulous, the paint job was perfect. My nails came out great as well. While my toes dried she asked if she could work on my nails while I was in the pedicure chair and if I was okay with that. After cutting my cuticles she moved me another chair where she finished. She kept checking on me and wanted to make sure I was happy the whole time. I appreciated that. The upkeep of the place is fair. It's a little eighties with a border all the way around with some old photo's. They seemed pretty clean and the women were all very friendly. The woman who worked on me spoke perfectly clear English as well and that was a big plus...I usually get stuck with people who don't know any English which is fine but can be annoying sometimes when you need to explain what you want and they do everything but that. Last but not least the pricing was fabulous. It was $32 for both, Manicure is $10 and Pedicure is $22. If you have acrylic nails, a fill is only $16. Great job Attractive! read more

Aside from questionable sanitization of tools used and a crummy selection of colors, my friend's toe was gashed open and my finger was a bit bloody after the cuticle trim. When I got home and looked more closely at my toes, I could see traces of my former pedicure--the tech had not removed all of the much-darker nail polish I'd been wearing. The nail techs were so talkative amongst themselves that I could barely hear to speak to my friend, who was sitting right next to me. Also, my tech was taking appointments and answering the phone, constantly jumping up. Perhaps if the staff had been concentrating on its clients, they would have done a better job? Yuck, yuck, yuck. This place is unsanitary. Example: one of the women kept answering the phone while she was giving manicures and pedicures (seriously, what's the point if wearing gloves if you're just going to touch filthy thing while you're wearing them?) The place was dirty from floor to ceiling, and I didn't see them washing out the footbaths or sanitizing the equipment. The nail polish selection was old and crusty. Against my better judgment, I had a pedicure. The guy doing my feet cut me pretty badly with the cuticle scissors, put a bit of alcohol and styptic on it, and proceeded to put the foot back into the water. I went home and soaked in antiseptic and I'm still hoping I don't get an infection. The sloughing was uncomfortable and didn't do anything, and the lotion massage was also pretty bad. I was supposed to have a manicure, but was just too grossed out to continue. read more

Got my eyebrows waxed here the other day and it's the best waxing I've had since moving to the Boston area! It was only $10, but the amount of time and care she took to shape my eyebrows and make sure I was happy with the job...needless to say, Kim got a big tip from me!!! I highly recommend making an appointment--I was a walk-in and even though I only had to wait about 15 min, as I was leaving the waiting area was filling up quickly. I knocked one star off because the decor is kinda blah and there's no price list or list of services that are readily available. The waxing room is located downstairs (walk down a slightly sketchy narrow staircase), but it's a private room and otherwise fairly relaxing. I'll be coming back from now on for my eyebrows!!! P.S.
