I love this place. They do a great job, are very pleasant, and the place is neat and clean. The owners (sisters) do all the manis/pedis so you don't have to worry about workers getting taken advantage of as it might be in other salons. FYI the barber shop next door is great too. read more

I understand that everyone has different experiences and mine was not good. I never leave bad reviews but I'm only trying to give a little advice...I went in for my first time yesterday and the woman took me right away as a walk in. I got a Gel manicure for $25 which is okay priced. I sat down and she didn't put a base coat down. She got nail polish all over my fingers and didn't attempt to clean it even when she was finished "which I expected after the amount that got on my hands" I liked the color and had a good conversation which is the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars BUT the worst of it all. She said "if you made an appointment I would have you my time and done a good job" it too a total of 15 minutes from start to finish for $25. After I left I had this sticky residue all over my nails and it peeled off. All and all really bad experience.... read more

Gave me a bad paint job and didn't bother to fix It, told me to come back about a WEEK later instead of just repainting the nail. I will never come back to this place again. UPDATE: i discovered that It wasn't just a bad paint job but the actual nail is uneven (zoom in on pink nail). I had to re do the white nails because they looked so terrible :( read more

Mimi and Mylu are sisters and expert at what they do with nails. I was made to feel comfortable here from the beginning, since there were no other male customers there at the time. Now they have more, especially since some podiatrists closed their shops. Here are skilled replacements. Mimi was able to solve an ingrown nail problem with both my big toes, something that three podiatrists couldn't do. And she strengthened my fingernails. And both sisters create a friendly atmosphere and have rightfully gained long term customers, including me. read more

Mimi and Milu are wonderful at what they do! Really! I have been coming here for 22 years since they opened the shop. I honestly cannot go anywhere else and feel like they will do as good a job. They take care of my feet completely, including a fabulous mini massage.. I'm hooked! They charge $28 and they easily could charge more but want to make it affordable for us. I always give a good tip for this reason. They work hard and I highly recommend them. read more

Mimi and Milo are like extended family for me. I use them mostly for mandatory pedicures (not for beauty), but they still manage to make my otherwise ugly feet look beautiful. I enjoy their message chairs while my feet soak. And I love the new 2-minute nail polish that dries REALLY FAST and is "dummy proof." Previously, i didn't bother getting my nails done because I couldn't make it out the door without messing at least one nail up. Their prices are great, too. There are places you can go and get more of a "massage," but if you are busy and want a quick, efficient job for a VERY reasonable price, enjoy a "neighborhood" atmosphere, no nasty gossip but lots of laughter, Lynne's Nails is the place to go in Arlington. I have been going to Lynne's Nails for 8 years, ever since I moved to Arlington. The owner and her sister are delightful people who are very knowledgeable and helpful. The salon is always crowded, with"regulars" and new customers who usually become regulars. The operators are quick and efficient; I have been to many other nail salons in the Boston area and this is by far the most professional one I've seen. They keep up with new techniques and products, and I always feel great when I leave there. I read the review about the "pink and white" and couldn't quite get the point through the rambling diatribe, but my experience with periodically having a "full set" has been excellent and satisfying. I recommend Lynne's Nails and can't imagine going anywhere else! read more

Newly moved to Arlington, I went to Lynne's Nails based on a friend's recommendation. This was also after I had a hideously bad nail experience in West Roxbury. Lynne took time to talk to me about my options (gel vs acrylic; not shellac because my nails were in poor condition) and worked quickly to repair my nails. The result was a beautifully crafted gel set with impeccable polish :) That was almost two and a half weeks ago (haven't been back yet only because of traveling and moving) and not one of my nails has fallen off or lifted. Although the place is small (two pedicure chairs and three or four nail stations), it is extremely clean. The only detriment to my amazing experience was that the pedicure nail technician literally talked for the entire hour I was there and it was a tad annoying. The prices are right and I will be calling them today for another appointment. I highly recommend Lynne's. read more

I went to get a manicure today for my first time in 20 years. I got just a regular $12 manicure and it came out great. I was not pushed to get anything more, which I appreciated. I will going back here next time I need my nails painted. Just want to let others know that it's cash only. read more

This place is a disaster. First off I would like to say that they cheat their costumers with false advertising. I went in to get my nails done (full set) Pink and White. They came out horrible and something just didn't seem right. She put on a French Tip nail which I thought was odd and when I asked her why did she do that she said to trust her, and that this is how pink and whites are done. Long story short I needed to get a fill a week later because they had chipped and were discolored etc. They were closed so I went to another salon to fill my pink and white nail set and at this new salon I was informed that what had been done to my nails was absolutely not a Pink and white, instead what Lynnes nail salon had done was put a french nail tip on my nails, and the added pink acrylic to the bottom and straight clear acrylic to the top. This is wrong wrong wrong. This is not a pink and white by any means. Pink and white nails are done with pink gel and white gel, its the most expensive form of gel and last long and is very strong and smooth looking. Acrylic powder is very bad for your nails and is the cheapest of all types of powder. No salon would ever put acrylic on your nails for a pink and white EVER! She robbed me not just once but twice, I had gone for my suppose to be " Pink and White" nails. On the sign with a list of everything they do it says PINK AND WHITE $35.00. (this also should have been a red flag considering that most salons P&W's are $45-55.) She totally butchered my nails, took my money and gave me the wrong product twice, knowing so. I strongly recommend going across the street, it is more expensive but at least you get what you are paying for. Lynnes Nail Salon lies about their products. I feel used and disrespected, never mind having to walk around with my fake Pink and white botched nails. If this had happened just once, that I could get my head around but this had happened every time I went in, so to me that says there is no confusion about whats going on ( ripping people off, and trying to make an extra buck by stretching their low end products and labeling them as their high end products...) I plan of getting my money back and have saved the old nails that were taken off to show her the difference (not that she doesn't know). I assume that this isn't the only area that they cut corners so beware. The nails that Lynnes salon created were terrible, porous, and done completely wrong, with the wrong products to begin with. Run, run, run.... all the way across the street and down a block! ;) read more

The staff at Lynn's were very polite and welcoming. I called on a busy Saturday to make an appointment and they were able to fit me in graciously. I got a full set of acrylic nails but they were not done very well at all. They were uneven on top and the acrylic did not cover the sides of my nails. I will not go back there again. read more
