Nice coffee shop located in the heart of Towson in Kenilworth shopping center. You can dine inside or use the drive-through. It's very convenient. I order the delicious coffee and sandwich with sweet potato and hummus. It was unbelievable. you need to try it

First time here! Great experience! My son and I stopped in before I took him back to Towson. He had the grilled cheese & bacon sandwich which came with sliced apples. He said it was very good! I had a half of Atwater's chicken salad sandwhich and it was perfect!! I also got a cappuccino which was amazing. The service was great, they brought everything to your table. The inside is kind of small but was perfect for just the two of us. Will be back on Sunday and may do the drive thru!

First off, we do love this location. The manager and staff are very nice. The prices are a little steep. My wife and I each had a sandwich, 1 cup of soup we shared, a latte and she had an ice tea with an 18% tip equaled a little over $60. And that was lunch. We love the ambiance and watching the people outside. The vanilla latte was perfect. The grilled chicken avocado sandwich my wife had was so chewy. Unfortunately we ordered this same sandwich to go for her mom and we she opened it up the sandwich was burnt on both ends. Look at the picture. So crazy they would allow this to go out. I did call and spoke with Bronson who was so accommodating. He did say he would refund the sandwich. Sadly though my mother-in-law was left with a burnt sandwich. Yes, we were offered to come back to redo the sandwich but it's 20 minutes away and it was just after the snow storm so needless to say we respectfully declined. We'll still come back to this place because of the people working there more than anything else. It would be nice if they get their cooks to be more thoughtful and pay attention to what they are doing.

Honey Iced Oat Lavender Latte Tofu Bahn Mi Sandwich Hometown Breakfast

Atwater's is such a great place to grab a quick, chill bite for lunch with a friend! I love the tofu bahn mi sandwich so much- it is so flavorful and fresh. It doesn't look like much but it's super filling. The honey lavender oat latte is also divineeeee. The food comes out super quick even when it's super busy! I love how packed it is even on weekdays off hours! Shows how great their food and service is. The outdoor seating and drive thru options are also convenient.

Stopped here yesterday after a near by doctor's appointment. Parking was pretty easy. I wasn't expecting it to be so small and tight. The service was welcoming and friendly. It was definitely crowded inside and a little noisy because everyone seemed to be sitting so close. I ordered a grilled cheese with bacon which came with sliced apples. The grilled cheese was a little greasy.. I also grabbed a apple cider. My order was prepared pretty quickly considering it was pretty busy. I decided to eat in my car because it was no seating left inside. I enjoyed my grilled cheese with bacon. It was very tasty and the sliced apples went well with it. The apple cider was refreshing as well. This was a good and satisfying choice for me.

    Iced Mocha Latte

To start off, every time I've been to Atwater's (this specific location), it's always been super packed with people. They must be doing something right! I personally couldn't sense a vibe that would make me sit down to eat here-- hence one star off. But I must say, they have the best coffee in the area. I usually order an iced mocha latte or last time, I got a seasonal drink (pumpkin spice latte & they have real pumpkin bits in it!). The coffee is never watered down nor too strong that I can't finish it. It has the perfect amount of sweetest and honestly feels refreshing. If you're ever in the area to get a coffee, try this place. This will be worth your time! Plus side, they have a ton of cute jams and muffins near the front.

I was in the mood for a light lunch and after some deliberation, I decided on Atwater's. They have soups, salads, sandwiches, pastries and a few other small breakfast items. They had a drive through which was very convenient especially because the parking lot it is located in is very chaotic and it can be quite difficult to find a spot. I was also in a bit of a rush so this was perfect. I ended up ordering the chicken bacon and avocado sandwich and adding on their feta spread. The chicken breast was a little dry, I don't think I would have enjoyed it on it's own. However, the components of the sandwich worked really well together. The addition of the feta really elevated the sandwich, it was creamy, salty and really made up for the dryness of the chicken. The avocado and arugula tasted really fresh and the sandwich comes on a brioche roll which was perfectly soft. It's important to note that all of their breads are made in house which definitely added to the freshness of the sandwich. My only criticisms would be that the drive through was slightly slow, the chicken breast was over cooked, and it was a little pricey for what you receive. However, overall, this was the perfect place for a quick lunch made with fresh ingredients. I would give it a 3.5 if I could.

This was our first visit here, and we decided to stop in for lunch. Parking was brutal on Saturday, but we managed to squeeze into a spot nearby. This place is very small on the inside and has limited seating. The menus are available at the counter as well as near the front entrance. After glancing at the menu, I ordered a bowl of gumbo and a bacon and grilled cheese sandwich, which came with a side of sliced apples. Hubby ordered the country breakfast meal. Along with our meal, I ordered an iced tea that was sweetened with some sweetner, and hubby had coffee. We were able to find seating and enjoy our beverages while waiting for our meals. The food was good. Hubby said he was still hungry after his meal. He felt that for the price, the meal could be more filling.

Last were some tacos: corn tortillas with a ground beef, griddled potatoes, mushrooms, peppers and cheese topped with some gravy. Everyone who loves breakfast needs to get here IMMEDIATELY! We ordered the "do you dare" and received 3 items that were flawless. Perfect flavor profiles, perfect cooks, and we could not come up with one thing a dish needed. We ate the following (newest photos at end) French toast smash burger (no bacon): 15/10 French toast soft interior, crispy out. Smash burgers seasoned well and juicy. Hash brown just right. Nothing needed. Cheesesteak potato pancake tacos: 15/10-steak and potatoes seasoned perfectly. Pancake had crispy edges but still fluffy, sauce added a little kick. Nothing needed. Strawberry Mascarpone wafer French toast: 15/10-The PERFECT "I want something sweet" choice without indulging in cereal or ice cream. The strawberry and light cream were heavenly. French toast had cinnamon, crispy edges and was remarkable. We will be coming monthly to try any new items and concoctions Glen will whip up. A hole in the wall for sure, can not be seen from the street. Limited seating inside and outside. Food was perfect. We ordered the following: Pancake breakfast: 10/10 fluffy, crispy pancakes. Home fries were crisp and seasoned. Perfect for 2 kids to share The Wild West: 10/10 very fresh ingredients, good flavor and portion. Recommend. The Washington Ave: 10/10- I added Feta instead of cheddar and that sent things over. Huge sandwich. Flavor packed. Might want a little more sauce. Cappuccino: 8/10 a little too much milk (hot skim milk) Strawberry mint lemonade: 10/10 I recommend breakfast lovers get here!

I want it again…read more.... This was a very good experience. The courtyard dining was very nice and not as loud compared to the inside experience. The food was fresh and very tasty. Brunch was understood here. The French toast was very nice and not heavy despite its massive quantity. The flavors complimented each other all the way until the last bite. The Montecristo sandwich was balanced savory and sweet flawlessly. This was a hearty selection and could be shared with two. The cheese grits had to be made by someone's grandma IYKYK. The cowboy bacon I could just have a tray of it as it was a flavor bomb covering heat, sweet, salty, savory, and smokey. The staff was super friendly and accommodating working as a team. The table next to me was promptly provided with hot fries upon request due to the original order being "cold". A few minutes passed by and boom hot fresh fries. I had no clue about village and the assortment of shops and restaurants. I'm super happy I stumbled across it and found the hidden gems. They nailed it. 4.8 out of 5

Like many other reviewers, we found it very difficult to locate the restaurant within the plaza. Once we arrived, we were seated quickly, and the initial service was prompt. I also want to acknowledge one aspect of the service that I genuinely appreciated. As someone with celiac disease, dining out can be stressful, yet the staff were attentive to my dietary needs, offered several safe options, and clearly communicated which items might not be appropriate for me to eat. That level of awareness and consideration made me feel welcomed and cared for, and I am grateful for it. Hence, I feel comfortable, providing one star for that purpose. That being said, there were a few moments later when we had trouble finding our waitress after requesting changes to our order. Unfortunately, the changes to our order ultimately became necessary because the food simply was not good. My husband and I both ordered the shrimp and grits. I ordered mine without sausage, while he kept it as prepared. The grits were gummy, sticky, and overly cheesy, something I never imagined I would complain about. As a Black Indigenous American woman, shrimp and grits represents far more than a menu item to me. It is a dish shaped by generations of cultural exchange and resilience, drawing from Indigenous corn traditions and the culinary practices carried by African ancestors and preserved within Gullah Geechee communities. Because of that rich heritage, I hold this dish in high regard. Unfortunately, this version felt disconnected from the flavors, textures, and history that make shrimp and grits such a meaningful part of Southern food traditions. My husband ultimately sent his meal back and ordered the fish sandwich instead, which he also found disappointing. I added an egg to my dish in hopes that it might improve the experience, but it arrived long after I had already lost the desire to continue eating. I was also surprised that, in a state with such a strong military presence, particularly in Baltimore, there didn't offer a military discount. What saddens me most is that we chose this restaurant over several other options because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I believe honest reviews matter, both for future customers and for owners who genuinely want feedback to improve. We spent our money expecting a memorable treat to celebrate my recovery and instead left feeling disappointed and regretful. Looking back, I wish I had asked for a refund while we were there. Honestly, my husband is still upset upset that he spent his money. Despite having the funds available, he believes we would've been better off having a meal at home.

I ordered the Seasonal Scramble with the help of the staff I was settled not to get the asian pears on my scramble but on the side. The seasonal scramble comes with home fries and multi grain toast. I was not a true fan as the coffee used is quite strong ang bitter. I ordered to go and to my suprise I see that this is an Atlas Restaurant Group establishment. Because these folks were nice, I may come back and try something else because this $18 meal was not tasty. It gave me a queasy stomach smelling and eating the eggs with the goat cheese.
