We made a last minute decision to eat here before we left. And we weren't sure what to expect when we saw the line at the hostess stand when we walked up. We were pleasantly surprised despite the circumstances. We waited for about 15 minutes to be seated, even though there were open seats within view. We found out from our server, that they were extremely short staffed. From what we could see in a very large restaurant, there were only 3 front of the house workers. Serving customers and bussing tables. We had the option to order from the menu, which they warned us would take longer than normal because of the staffing challenges. They offered a buffet that was open and available. We thought best to "settle" for the faster option, since we had to hit the road ahead of the storm. What we found, we didn't really "settle" it was great. So many options for every age group in our family. From 3yr old to Seniors. Our family favorites: Chocolate croissants, croissants, bacon, sausage, pancakes, cantelope, yogurt and granola. We found the prices to be very reasonable for all of the options and variety. Conveniently located in our hotel. The atmosphere was very comfortable, clean and the frosted glass, blocked the view to the street, which is great, because there is a lot of homeless belongings/junk on that side of the building. Table is a restaurant connected to the Hotel PUR, which my wife and I were staying at. We are Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite members at the time, and Bonvoy Platinum and above could chose a breakfast reward. The reward included an "Elite Breakfast" complementary which was eggs, potatoes and toast with jam, or you could use it as credit toward your bill. For the few days we stayed, we had the elite breakfast which was pretty solid, I like my eggs sunny side up. The staff are friendly and responsive to our needs with the coffee. On our last day at the hotel we tried their Pur Poutine and their Banana Pancakes which were both pretty tasty. Generally my wife and I are not big breakfast people, but our experience was positive and we probably would've tried it without the hotel incentive. read more

Breakfast was included with our hotel stay. The first morning we did a la carte. There is a big selection. I decided to get the duck confit breakfast poutine- when in Canada. It came with two eggs, cheese curds, morning potatoes, and hollandaise sauce. It was quite the breakfast and I wasn't able to finish it. The next day, there was a sign posted stating that they are low on servers and service was going to be slower. We decided to do the breakfast buffet instead as it was the faster option. The buffet was average, but I did like that there was a good selection of fruits. If we weren't in a hurry, a la carte is the way to go. read more

Heard about Table from a friend who stayed in the hotel next to the restaurant and decided to give it a try after coming out of Old Town. Came around 7pm and was seated immediately. After glancing at the menu, my family and I decided to get the Lobster Pasta and Risotto which were in season, the seafood platter, and a tomato soup. Seafood Platter: I'm usually very cautiously pessimistic about seafood platters after a few bad experiences in other restaurants but thought I would give it one more chance. It came with 6 oysters, tuna tartare, chips + dip, and a pound of mussels. Highlight here was the mussels along with the chip + dip surprisingly. The mussels were cooked in a cream + white wine sauce, which was almost an ambrosia. I'm sorta sad they didn't give us some bread to soak up all the juices but maybe it's for the better because I would've consumed all of it. The dip was a black garlic + onion mayo, and probably the best dip I've had. It had the perfect amount of umami and flavor profile that turns even the blandest things into tasty bites! Lobster Risotto: absolutely must get if you come here. 100% get it. I cannot stress this enough. They give you a healthy portion of lobster on top of a creamy, addictive risotto cooked to absolute perfection. Lobster Pasta: I personally was not a huge fan of it due to personal dislike of olives which took over a majority of the dish's taste. Get if you like olives, otherwise you'll probably find something else that fits your cravings. Great service. Great ambiance. Great food. Cannot ask for much more. We were very happy with our dinner at Table. Not busy - which was odd for Friday - but it is Christmas weekend. Soup of the day (spinach/asparagus) was well seasoned and a smooth blend. The shrimp and lobster chowder had a lot of both plus a homemade crouton. Not too thick and had fresh corn and potatoes. We had two entrees. Favorite was the mussels with homemade French fries. Hands down best mussels ever. Fresh and large with a nice white wine and cream sauce. The poached cod with risotto and veggies was a nice size and very flavorful. Service impeccable. Last, but not least, the PUR Negroni and Paper Airplane cocktails perfectly complimented the meals. Would definitely go back. read more

As Hotel PUR guests, it was wonderful to have Table downstairs, especially for breakfast. The omelette and crepes were excellent - and the bread tasted freshly baked. This was hands down one of the best dining experience I have ever had. I randomly came into this place and ended up eating here. I had a set menu of four courses for 40 dollars. When we ordered the server asked if when my mom wanted her food to come out because I had four courses and she had one. I feel this is the type of attention to detail that separates good from great. The food was fantastic, I enjoyed every single plate which brought something new and delicious to my palate. The wine menu was pretty good, I think I ended up have a cab sauv which I enjoyed. My mother had the tofu which was cooked excellently. I find most places don't cook tofu well, but this place was standout! Nice quiet small-plates restaurant in a great part of Quebec City. Beautiful decor and great wait staff. Several good vegetarian options available, including the incredible Burrata, Watermelon and Feta salad, Mushroom Pot Pie, and Truffle Fries. Place has a great day wine and cocktail menu - I'd highly recommend the Aristocrat (gin, Rosemary, champagne). 2-3 plates per person is the right size unless you're unusually hungry. For dessert, we got the churros which were equally delicious. My only issue with the place is that the size of the plates is small for the price. However, the quality of the ingredients is very high which probably makes up for this! read more

The beet salad was so refreshing and tasty and the best beet salad I have ever had. Their veggie burger and fries were so delicious and flavorful. Foods and cocktail are all good, deserving five stars. Paella is so delicious, I totally forgot to take a photo. Sangria PUR is perfect for me a sweet lover. The only point dispointing is service. I asked for order with a nice lady, she left to bring her notes and didn't come back until I became impatient and went to look for her at bar. In the middle of dinning, I wanted have one more glass, I waved several minutes, no servicer saw me... I gave up at last. We had dinner here after a very long travel day from California to Quebec. The waiter explained to us that the plates were small - tapas style. The place is beautiful... the breakfast was pretty good too. The service sucked... i mean really sucked. I have give a 0 tip twice in my life and this was one of them. The décor and setting of this restaurant are quite impressive. The menu of tapa-style food is also very impressive. Unfortunately, I have to give this restaurant a total 0 because of the horrendous service. I have never been somewhere where the service was so miserably derelict. We were a table of 6 people - and we were the ONLY PEOPLE in the restaurant. (1) It took forever for the waitress to take our order; when our order began arriving, some received 3 tapas, others received 1 - then we waited another 30-35 minutes before receiving the rest (2) Some orders were completely incorrect (3) Our coffee order was messed up and she brought out too many (4) Finally for dessert, she suggested the churros which we ordered but when they arrived, they were raw on the inside.
