Update to my previous review. -----------------------…read moreI hate to give this place a bad review because they have a great hygienist in Denise, but do not go to Dr. Khanpara if you're suffering from tooth-related pain. Last year during a routine examination, I complained that I had a minor toothache in an old crown. X-ray showed that I had a minor infection. I was sent home and didn't think anything of it. I thought it would go away on its own. Days later, I started feeling more pain, so before things got any worse, I went back to the office and saw Dr. Khanpara. I told her about my tooth pain and about the infection, and I asked her to prescribe antibiotics to make sure that the infection didn't get any worse, but she refused to do so. She just told me to take painkillers and see an endodontist. I couldn't see the endodontist for a few days because they didn't have an appointment available, but I was in so much pain the next day that I went to another dentist who took a look at my tooth, saw the infection, and the first thing she did was prescribe antibiotics. Sure enough, within a day the toothache was gone, which made the wait for the endodontist somewhat tolerable. Cut to last week when my wife had the same thing happen to her. She went to see Dr. Khanpara complaining of a toothache. They took X-rays and found that she had an infection in an old crown. My wife was in a lot of pain, but instead of prescribing pain medication or an antibiotic, she was sent home because she didn't have a fever. But my wife didn't have a fever because she had been taking Tylenol, which may have been masking the fever. Dr. Khanpara even told her that antibiotics wouldn't make any difference with the pain! My wife was in so much pain that she went to see another dentist the very next day, who again saw what was wrong and immediately prescribed antibiotics. And the same thing happened: her pain was gone the next day, and now she's ok to wait until she sees an endodontist to treat her crown. I don't know if this is company policy not to prescribe antibiotics or if this is a personal issue Dr. Khanpara has against antibiotics, but I don't think she's ever suffered from a toothache. It's either that or she lacks basic human compassion. Safe to say that we will never be going back.
