I have never been disappointed in the food or the service at Aubrey's. The salads are fresh and the dressings taste homemade. The burgers are perfectly seasoned and cooked. I have never had a bad entree and the sides are delicious. When we take guests out to dinner in Morristown we usually go to Aubreys . It has a more upscale feel without being pretentious or too expensive. I recommend trying it. read more

A disappointing experience ( Morristown) Order taken - food arrives - within 5 minutes and 4 bites server wants to know how many boxes we will need - My response- are you joking we just got our food are you in a rush ? - well I leave in 30 minutes!!!! 20 minutes later not one but 3 staff start using sweepers on the floor . We are surrounded by noise , dust and dirt . We are watching the plumes of hair dust and dirt rise up as the staff use flashlights- this went on literally on all sides of our table and half our dinner . Spoke to the manager- he really wasn't phased . That speaks volumes as to why this nonsense went on . Had lunch and dinner here on the same day. For lunch I had the chicken gumbo and the half turkey sandwich. I also had a Devils backbone beer. The sandwich and the soup were decent and I would order them again. The beer seemed to be flat but I still drank it. I failed to get the servers name but he was attentive and did not bug me. My one complaint was the bread that They serve you as it appeared to have sat under the heat lamp for too long and was not good. Now dinner was not as good. For dinner I ordered the battered chicken breast covered in white gravy with a baked potato and a side salad with blue cheese dressing. I also ordered a Devils backbone beer. Again the beer seem to be flat so this time I did send it back and got a bold rock cider instead. The bread that they brought out was again crusty and again it felt like it sat under the heat lamp for too long. In regards to my dinner, the presentation was terrible. At least put something with color on the side. The chicken breast had no flavor whatsoever, it was very bland. The white gravy did have some flavor so that helped. It also appeared to be very greasy on the inside of the batter. The salad was very cold from where it had sat in the refrigerator all day. The lettuce was wet from being washed earlier so when I poured my blue cheese dressing on it, it made the dressing very watery. I am not sure how long my server Jackson has been working at this restaurant but my recommendation to management would be to re-train him. When I asked for two samples of beer he was not sure what i was asking for as at first he thought it was wine. He should know the drink menu like the back of his hand. He also consistently asked me if I was ready to order as though he was trying to rush me through the process. Then when I was halfway through my meal and I was clearly still eating he came and asked if I was ready for my check. No mention of desert was offered. Went here after walking out of another place. Server was on point saved our night. Got our drinks taken care of quickly. Food took only 15-20 minutes to come out and it was all hot, still steaming. Even though the place was fairly full it didn't feel overly crowded or rushed to eat so the next group could be seated. Will definitely be going back. read more

We ate at Aubreys last night, and it was delicious! My husband got the chili and a steak and thoroughly enjoyed it. I got the house salad with their classic dressing (similar to an Italian dressing) and it tasted great and fresh! I got the Roasted Turkey and Havarti sandwich and it had delicious flavor! I got the sweet potato fries and they were also delicious. They do put sugar on top of their sweet potato fries which was different for me, but still tasty! My wife and I absolutely love Aubrey's. The food is always great and they have a fantastic beer selection! Not many places in town have a beer variety as good as they do at Aubrey's. We have tried many things here and we've never been disappointed however, our go-to meal is the Pizza Rockefeller. You simply can't go wrong with it! My family and I visited Aubrey's last night for dinner and it did not disappoint. I had searched Yelp to find a place for dinner, was pleased with the reviews, and we decided to give it a try. We arrived and were seated promptly. Very impressive tap beer selection (over 40). We ordered the pimento cheese and sausage for appetizer and had the bread that they brought out, both were great. I had the salmon tacos and my husband had the Hawaiian ribeye. The food was just delicious and the service was too notch. Our waitress was Kourtnie and she was friendly and very helpful. Even though we were all stuffed (taking food back to the hotel) we took dessert to go. He had the cobbler and I got the peppermint patty, Amazing!!! I've eaten at this location four times since they opened. Twice for lunch, twice for dinner. The servers I have had-Shenice and a young man that I forget his name-Darien maybe? They are both fantastic! Attentive without hovering--I hate hovering! Last weekend I was trying to decide between two items. I asked Shenice if she'd tried them and she said she'd only had one of them. I love that--too often servers say EVERYTHING IS GREAT as if they have eaten the entire menu. I loved her candid answer. She also offered to bring me a taste before I ordered. Fabulous! The front hostesses, both of them, are low on my list of capable employees. The house manager, Jasmine, is spectacular and I'm guessing she will either help them understand how to work with customers or move new, more friendly and service oriented people into those spots. I love the tomato basil is a perpetual offering-it is so delicious and perfect! Burgers tend to be well done, so if you like it medium, be very specific in your request. The salads are fabulous, I'm especially a fan of the Strawberry salad-no dressing though! The perfect pair combinations are great for a lunch or light supper. Have yet to try any dessert but if it is as good as the rest of the menu, then it is going to be a delicious choice! read more

I like most Aubrey's locations. This one is a bummer. On my way back from Kingsport TN I took a detour to get some food. I was sat at a table at 8:45pm, they claim they're open until 10. Hostess was bothered to seat someone. Sat at the table for 15 minutes with no bartender at the bar, no servers greeting me. Hostess still didn't flag anyone down to wait on me. Realized that the table next to me (the only other people in the bar area) was the bartender sitting with his guy friends until he decided he's get up to find a server. When a server showed, she was rushing me while I ordered. Just TERRIBLE. Bartender took his time making my drink and only after he said his goodbyes to the men at the table. He then left it sitting to be taken to the table even though he was THE ONLY PERSON IN THE BAR! Couldn't walk it to my table??! Salad arrived before the drink, both ordered at the same time. He stops another employee walking by (on his cell phone) to drop it at my table 10 steps from the bar. Employees act like they're closed after rush hour. Not surprised the place was dead. Made me want to walk out and find somewhere that had at least decent service! read more

This place is yet another take on the traditional Applebees / OCharleys formula. Just like those places, food is generally good, but never spectacular. Prices aren't excessive nor frugal. In other words, it's a smaller scale version of the typical mass chain restaurant. Just like the aforementioned places, you are likely to see a completely new wait staff every two weeks. This tends to be an issue if you have questions about the menu and god forbid if you ask a question about the draft selection. Unlike the big chains, they do have a segregated bar which in theory is a good thing, but it's long and narrow, with a few more tables than it should have. This makes it awkward when you need to go the restroom. Bar seating is way too tight too...just like the tables. My guess is they have about 3 more stools than they should. Even when the bar isn't full, you can't really "scooch" the stools much in any direction to get any additional elbow room. I realize this is what they do to allow for more seating when there's a game, etc. but is a pita the other 300 days of the year. Unlike the bar, the main room is roomy...I've went with large groups on a couple occasions and there was no issue with large parties. However, a few minutes into waiting and people were going back out to their car to get jackets. This was during warm months! I've not been back since winter has gotten here, so not sure about interior temperature right now. The ceiling is high making conversation tough. Sprinkle in the 80's channel on the pa and you find yourself yelling a bit. My suggestion is to go to this place when the weather is perfect (which is only about 10 days a year in East TN) and sit in the outside dining area. All of that aside, they've figured out the secret which is putting these stores in places where they don't have any direct competition...or in places where you can't get a beer and meal (safely) otherwise. For the most part, the parking lot is usually full. That's not so much the case for the M'town location however, as there is so much competition around it, but is what you'll see at G'ville and Straw Plains locations. This location however tends to be pretty empty at non-peak times. That said, I will push this up to a "3" based on a patron intentionally going there at say 2:30 PM. However, if you go during peak times and find it's a total hassle, don't say I didn't warn you. read more

The service was great, friendly and, quick. The hostess was a doll. It seemed that the staff was happy to be there, which is always a good feel. My friend liked her meal. I sent mine back. I had previously had a take home salad from Aubreys and it was really good, with dressing that tasted homemade. So, I ordered the same when dining in. It was entirely different and, not worth the calories. Maybe the kitchen just needs a little more love to take it from being mediocre to special. My husband and I ate here for our 21st anniversary. He ordered the salmon tacos and I ordered the mushroom hamburger. They were both very delicious! The bread and house salad tasted so good that when the burger arrived, I was too full to finish it (my husband had no trouble helping me with that). All of the salad dressings are homemade and the ranch dressing was so delicious that I used my bread to get every last drop! I also had a spinach dip for my side dish which was amazing as a topping on the free bread. The waitress was kind and helpful in aiding us with placing our order. I decided to try Aubrey's for the first time tonight, the parking lot was packed so I was a little concerned about seating due to covid but that dining area wasn't even half way full but unfortunately they stacked most of the customers inside one corner of the restaurant. If you social distance I do not recommend this place we was placed in a booth that was connected with a occupied both beside of us and the people we're constantly coughing and I just did not feel comfortable having someone to my back 1 foot away coughing so we asked to get our food placed in to go boxes and left. I did call the manager to express my concerns and he said that seating is back to 100%. Aubrey's does not social distance and takes no precautions besides the employees wearing masks, isn't even plexiglass separating the booths so you're literally right on top of each other read more

The food is consistently good. The draft beer menu could use some improvement as they are usually out of several beer options. A group of my friend and I come here on a weekly basis. Tonight I ordered a Moscow mule with Tito's vodka ($2 xtra). The last drink was not Tito's so I let my waitress know to either replace it or adjust the price. They took the *well*vodka drink then sent back a half filled Moscow mule with Tito's. Made "specially by the manager". It was insulting. Listen, all I was asking was to either make it right on the drink or the bill. I can tell the difference and if you are going to charge $2 extra then make sure it's right. We wandered in here quite by accident because the Texas Roadhouse looked too busy. We were not disappointed! Our waitress was enthusiastic and personable. She took superb care of us and was very knowledgeable about the menu. The portion size was very generous. The bread was delicious, steak tasty and properly cooked with a superior fresh loaded baked potato (one of the best we have had in a restaurant!) and a very nice house salad. I had lunch here during the week after Christmas. The prices were very reasonable on the lunch menu and the food was delicious. I had a burger and my dining companion had a sandwich; they were each around $10 and came with a side. Aubrey's just opened here recently and the building is brand new. There are lots of large windows but right now all they look out at is the road, construction, and Walmart, so it's not really a nice view. (Frankly I'm not sure the view will ever be anything to write home about, even after the landscaping matures.) There are large chalkboards advertising products served at the restaurant - Hormel meats, Coca-cola brand soft drinks - hanging from the ceiling to help buffer the noise from other diners. All of the glass windows do bounce sound around the room, though, as the wailing baby in the corner booth demonstrated. Background music played on the restaurant's sound system helped to drown out some of the annoyance but the baby was ideally located to broadcast, in the corner booth with glass forming a loudpeaker-type effect since it was on two sides of the booth. Our server, although very nice, was new and apparently wasn't aware of how dangerous food allergies can be. My dining companion ordered food specifically without something that she is highly allergic to, and when her food arrived she was ready to dig in and just happened to ask the person dropping off the food "This doesn't have X ingredient, does it?" but yes, it did. Thank goodness she asked. Our server stopped by later to let us know that due to the way the computer makes them enter orders that it was prepared with X ingredient. We also spoke to the manager who explained that the server was hired and trained after the grand-opening staff had been trained. We understand that everyone is new at something at some point in their career, but food allergies can be dangerous and blaming an error on the computer and lack of training is something of a cop out. We weren't looking for a discount (and none was offered) and we were assured the server would receive more training on food allergies. To sum up: tasty food, varied menu, convenient west-end location, but shaking out some kinks with the new staff. read more
