She sent me to have three teeth removed. While I was waiting for those sites to heal I lost the tip of another. I went in to have the tip repaired and she also did purely cosmetic fillings on the outside surface with the warning it might not last. She was right. It didn't. I paid over $800 for a gloss that fell out after two weeks. It's been a year now and the tip repair has fallen out, too. I had a partial plate with six teeth built for almost $2K. I can't wear it. It gives me a speech impediment. She said, "Oh, just read the newpaper outloud." There is so much plastic I can't find my alveolar ridge to form an l, n, d, or t. There is even plastic on the back surface of the upper front teeth, that I can't form an Italian l either. I'm a voice professional and must be able to perform in Italian, French, and English as well as demonstrate to my students. The only positives about the office are the delightful woman in the front office and the very healthy croton that gets morning sunshine through the window. Avoid at all costs. I have spoken with others who unanimously share my opinions, but they don't seem to register reviews here.

It doesn't even have that awful dentist office smell! I was pleased with the way Dr. Whipple explained my dental issues and what the appropriate treatment would be. Be aware that they don't perform root canals in office, but refer you to an endodontist, which can be good or bad. For me, it's inconvenient to have to go to another office (hence the four star rating), but there's certainly nothing wrong with having a specialist do the procedure. I plan to have my routine care at Seven Valley Dental from now on.

In particular, I was told that they accept all insurance there. Then after I get a bill for more than $400, and brought to their attention that my insurance would not cover that, I was told first that they don't accept any insurance, and secondly that I was wrong because no one there would have told me that to begin with! The tried to explain to me how it was all my fault that I had misheard what I was originally told. I was also told that I would receive a follow-up call from the office manager to discuss further, but I have heard nothing after multiple calls to their office. Talk about bait and switch. Swindlers. Take your business elsewhere. There's something rotten below that enamel.

The worst dentist ever that never spent more than 30 seconds in the room with her. And when i went to her next appointment with her i was in disbelief when this so called dentist was slapping his hands in our face! Insisting he explained the process to her (my 77 yo mother). Then exclaimed in the common hallway how he "would kill himself if he had to keep taking care of this woman"! Now that iz only after i asked him why he was being so "aggressive" didnot even introduce himself, nor did he ever attempt to make my mother feel at ease or reassured. We were then treated as if we were the problem! I was told to keep my voice down when after hearing this man completely verbally accost my mother i said "what the fuck is wrong with this guy! He's an asshole!" We were then escorted to the managers office, where i definitely asked her "would u let a doctor speak to your mother that way?" And her response was "please stop yelling at me or i will call the cops." Are u serious?? Then tried to blame me bc my mother did not understand the process of getting dentures! Not to mention they took it upon them selves to charge her for the most expensive denture they offered which she did not ever agree too. And only offered a fraction of her money back as a refund, and still never explained the fit of the healing denture or let her try the pair on they had in the exam room after the dentist threw a tNtr.like a 10 yo. Bc he couldnt listen to her questions and show some compassion or reassurance for 2 minutes to make her feel at ease about the teeth she spent 10 thousand dollars on fitting appropriately for the remainder of her life!

Please read, I'm only trying to help others by making them aware of the scam and will post this to every media outlet I can find!! They will try to sell you Arestin a antibiotic they will claim they need to give you in order to get a simple cleaning. They will charge you around $112 a tooth for as many teeth they will like to get a bonus for but will always keep it to just under $1000. I've done so much digging and research on this and am trying to make this as public as possible!! You do not need the Arestin, your insurance will not pay for it because it's not necessary and considers the antimicrobial agent experimental and investigative and not a necessity. Yet Aspen dental will tell you that they will not provide any services to you until you pay for it. Even a cleaning they will refuse to do until you pay them. They will try to tell you if you can't afford it out of pocket. You can get a credit card through them and like I said they will always keep it just under $1,000 to try to make people think they have to get that and it's only $1,000 on a credit card. Please just be careful this is a scam. They're in this industry not for medical care but so they can make bonuses and they can make profit off of naive patients. It's a completely unethical practice!!!

The staff were genuine, attentive, and professional -- you can feel when a clinic truly values patients, and this one does. My first visit was excellent. The care team listened, took their time, and never made me feel rushed. The atmosphere was modern, clean, and relaxed. Staff encouraged and reinforced positive habits rather than shaming anyone for what they "should" be doing -- a huge difference compared to other places. The first set of x-rays was essentially free (saving me hundreds), which stunned me. Both the dentist and hygienist were thorough, careful, and patient. This is how dentistry should feel: professional, compassionate, and centered on care -- not billing. I highly recommend Gorges Dentistry to anyone in Ithaca looking for quality dental care.

I have an Excellus plan through the marketplace. They initially told me that I would receive a reimbursement check in 4-6 weeks... That time had passed so I called back and someone said they would get back to me later that day (no one ever did...). I waited another WEEK and had to call back again. When I spoke to a person this time they had trouble looking me up because the person initially taking down my information had it completely wrong... same birthday (month/day) but wrong year, same first name, but wrong last name, and the wrong street address (but the same street number...). Very odd and unprofessional - it seemed like they were trying to multitask or looking at information from two different sheets... It made enough sense to confirm it was me, but had SO MANY errors. Either way once that was resolved she said I would get a check for reimbursement withing a week. Another Week goes by and nothing so I call back AGAIN! And this time I find out that they cannot submit the claim because its through the state (I don't know how they missed that on my initial visit, but they did.) SO I had to call insurance and submit the claim on my own just to find out that Gorges dental was "out of network" - so now Im stuck paying "out of pocket". I WOULD AVOID THIS DENTIST AT ALL COST IF YOU HAVE INSURANCE THROUGH EXCELLUS, OR ANY PLAN THROUGH "THE STATE".
