I came in trying to help my parents find a vehicle and honestly they weren't even totally sure what they wanted yet, but she was so patient, down to earth, and easy to talk to through the entire process. She sat with me for sometime going over different options, answering questions, and never once made me feel rushed or pressured. On top of being knowledgeable, she had a great sense of humor and just made the whole experience feel comfortable instead of stressful. You can tell she genuinely enjoys helping people and actually listens to what you're looking for. I had a smooth, no-pressure experience purchasing and trading in my Honda Accord. I came prepared--I had done my research and knew the "out-the-door" price I was aiming for, as well as the value of my trade-in. I even had an appointment scheduled with Lamacchia Honda the next day for comparison. Over the years, I've had mixed experiences with their service department, but never with Joanne--she's always been wonderful. Mat Willsey was knowledgeable, professional, and very respectful, which I especially appreciated as a female buyer. I highly recommend working with him. I also liked the new open layout of the showroom--it made the negotiation process feel more comfortable and transparent. In the end, I was very happy with the financing (which was better than my local credit union), the trade-in value, and the final price, which landed right where I wanted it. I'll admit, some of the negative reviews made me hesitant at first, but after my experience, it's clear many of those relate to service, not the purchasing process. I had a great experience with Fox Honda recently, in June 2024. The Salesman's name is Larry Slotsema. I ask Larry if we could do the paperwork and closing remotely and he said yes, because we live in Holland. I checked out four different car dealerships, two Honda, with similar size cars, and no one matched the deal that Larry gave me. He brought the car right to our home so we could check it out for my wife, who is in a wheelchair. We also checked out the size of the car in our single car garage with a wheelchair ramp, and her getting in and out of the car. Everything checked out beautiful. Larry gave us a great deal on a 2024 Honda, and also a great trade-in on our 2022 Honda. This is the second car I have purchased from Larry and am very satisfied. Thanks Larry. Bob S. read more

This place was a complete waste of time. Me and my fiance just got done 4 months ago paying of a car loan. Our lien release form said specifically that they would consider us on our next car loan. So this dealership said they would accept the auto loan company we went through and lied. Mind you the car loan was in good standing paid in full over the 6 years span. Buyers Beware! The worst car buying experience I have ever encountered. So dishonest! If you are looking for a dealership you can trust...this is NOT it!!! Almost 2 weeks of trying to purchase a vehicle (all cash purchase) and during that time we attempted to purchase a vehicle twice, both were being sold with MAJOR engine issues and going to auction...so we were told. We later found the vehicles had been moved to different Auburn/Fox dealerships down the road for some other poor unsuspecting person to purchase. Needless to say, we took our business elsewhere. We've had extremely poor service from this dealership when trying to buy a new vehicle. We initially spoke with Javani who had a reasonable approach and after speaking with her decided to come to the dealership to meet with her and put a 500 dollar deposit down for a new Honda Odyssey which would be refundable if we chose not to accept the vehicle once it arrived. When we arrived we were met with a salesperson named Matt. I asked where Javani was and he said she had to step out so he would take care of us. We were surprised she didn't let us know. Umm We gave very specific instructions to her stand-in that we wanted a white Odyssey with beige interior. Matt said he would order/find one. The following day I called Javani to ask a question thinking Matt had just stood in for her the previous day and she told me she just does the front end telephone work and then passes the baton to a salesperson like Matt. I am not sure why she didn't explain this to us on the front end rather than us thinking she stood us up. And, why Matt said she stepped out rather than explain this is the normal process did not inspire confidence in him. At the end of October I asked Matt if he could be more specific about the total cost of the vehicle. He said he would get that to me the next business day. He never got back to me. In mid November Matt call me to say the vehicle had arrived. I reminded him that he never got back to me on pricing. He then informed me that the vehicle was white with BLACK interior. I said we were very specific with him on the desired color. At that point he said he can't get that for us so I asked him to refund the 500 dollar deposit. It has been a month now and still no refund. I texted him on Nov 23 and he responded "Sometimes the bank takes a little bit". On Dec 6 I texted Him saying, "Matt, it really shouldn't take close to a month to get my deposit refunded. Can you please provide me with definitive information on where things stand or have someone call me who can. ". Matt responded, "Ok sorry about that I will look into it with my finance manager " That was one week ago and I have heard nothing. Totally unacceptable service response. I have found Fox dealership to be uncoordinated, not thorough and unresponsive. I do not recommend anyone do business there. I have since pursued a relationship with Victory Honda and they have hands down been excellent to work with. Great service, responsive, knowledgeable and thorough. However at the point that the sales manager Justin came on the scene, he immediately insulted our negotiations and displayed zero people skills. He single handedly drove us from Fox to Lamacchia where we happily purchased a new vehicle. A sales manager displaying this behavior is disgraceful, and reflects the values of the establishment. An update on my experience with the worst place I have ever done business with. This past Tuesday, a woman describing herself as an assistant to the owner called my husband to berate him for allowing me to post my review of their business. Beyond the obvious insult of telling my husband to control what I do, as if I am a child and he's my father, what purpose is possibly served by trying to control my free speech? Evidently they have been receiving comments from other people. I hope that continues. So, our 12,000 purchase has been back to the mechanics 4 times in the 3 months we have owned it. The1,200 warranty we had to buy cost us a 2oo deductible, and the car is still not fixed. The brake pads need replacing. The springs are different sizes, resulting in more stress on one side. It doesn't start on the first few tries. Having other issues, too, with this vehicle that left me stranded within a week of purchasing it. So, I called the person who harrassed my husband. I got their corporate office. I asked to speak to the woman who called and they could not figure it out. So I spoke to their PR person, who was sympathetic and who told me she would find out and have her call me. I also informed her that if they contacted my husband again, I would report them for harrassment. I told her that I would give her a day to get back to me. I gave her 2 days and even called back, but she was out. I warned her that I would be back on social media. My husband spoke to Andy, the lovely service manager who was just as impolite as always, to see if we could actually get the car fixed properly. His only response was to repeat that they had done everything they were obligated to do, as the vehicle passed inspection, at their shop, of course. Run fast from this dealership. It has been a total nightmare. If I could rate it at 0 stars, I would. Still waiting to hear from the lemon Law folks. Next stop is my local assembly woman. Don't hesitate to share. read more

Absolutely horrendous customer service. The only person willing to provide any reasonable service is Dave (in finance). From start to finish the salesman Matt was the epitome of a "true car salesman" stereotype. When asked about any of the details on the vehicle or pricing he would attempt to manipulate what was said to fit what I wanted to hear instead of the actual facts. This was discovered when I told him I would be back Tuesday with my boy friend. I wanted a second opinion to validate my thoughts and it was 100% the case. There was miscommunication throughout and I was not able to get actual facts until I spoke with finance (Dave). Once everything was "cleared" up I still had to have corrections made to the final sale bill because they kept adding charges. I even had my financing bank fax the dealership a copy of the 10 day pay off total with the date to be paid and the dealership provided me the incorrect bill with "their own calculations". When I was ready to leave the manager came out to ask me why I gave them such a poor score on their survey, I told him, and all he could say was "okay", shook my hand, and walked away. Additionally, I was told I would receive a call the next day as soon as my part arrived for install. I informed the salesman that it was my only early day off for a few and would like to get in as soon as possible after 12. He said it wouldn't be a problem. Needless to say I did not receive a call and had to call the dealership. They had received the part that morning and now I have to wait 4 days and use my only day off next week. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. It was the worst purchasing experience I have ever had. read more

Will never take a vehicle back after an incident I had a just over a year ago with them! After getting an oil change and tire rotation from them I had a slight shimmy in my front end and could not figure out what it was. When I decided to check the front end turned out ALL my lug-nuts were finger tight on one tire and the on the other 3 tires a majority of them were the same FINGER TIGHT one lug but was almost completely off. Like I said this happened over a year ago and I will NEVER BE BACK and will never deal with them for anything. They didn't even offer me anything for having the problem and they were actually annoyed I brought the car to them to have them make sure no damage was done with the tire being loose. read more

Worst dealership I've ever dealt with. Leased a new jeep Cherokee 2 years back that had chips in the paint from day one. I reported the chips and brought the vehicle back to have photos taken so that I can have the appropriate repairs done. After two years of hearing that they lost the pictures over and over they finally "repaired" said chips...by repaired I mean they made the chip on the hood look like a pimple that is completely noticeable. And now there and two new chips that are right in the front of the vehicle that conveniently weren't there before which I know for a fact. Since they're work is "guaranteed" well see how they react when i explain i want the work done by a legitamate body shop and I will have them billed. read more

If you enjoy a day of unnecessary and frustrating haggling, then it's worth the drive to Auburn to buy your Honda at Fox. I bought my last three cars here, and the experience was the same each time. The haggling routine is straight out of the 1940s (think Ralphie's dad buying a Christmas tree only taking many, many more hours). It is this odd negotiation between customer and manager; yet, the sales person mediates between the two, like a sad teenager of divorced parents arguing over child's support. The sales person presents a ridiculous first offer; customer rejects offer, ignoring the pouty sale person; customer awaits second offer outside the manager's fishbowl - a room decked out as a war room of sorts. The customer will get a reasonable offer somewhere around the fifth or sixth round - at the height of your exasperation. Add hours to your wait while they process paperwork. Even with impeccable credit, bank preapproval, and working your insurance company on their behalf, the customer will constantly babysit the process with toe tapping and asking, "what's next?" as each buying experience seems like the first time for the staff. I often wonder if they hate seeing the cars go, or if the customer needs to prove they have the endurance to truly deserve the car. And, just when you think you're done, paperwork almost in hand, they'll decide to clean the car or take hours finding a way to transfer your plates. Try not to scream, "What the heck have you been doing all day?" It doesn't help and you look crazy. Just know, they'll start moving more quickly once they get closer to closing time. My advice: get there early, expect to be there until closing, prep your haggling game because it will be discouraging and demoralizing, walk to Panera (gratefully next door) to keep your energy up, be resigned to drive back the next day because something will be mishandled, and know that driving a Honda almost makes it all worthwhile. read more

WOW, such a nightmare experience with this dealer. I was originally quoted an excellent price over the phone, which was when everything started going downhill. I was very clear on the vehicle I wanted (color, additional features, etc) and was told that it had to be located. Apparently, it was located no problem, but the dealer would not give me any information about the car. I tried for days to obtain the VIN number, original location, and when it would arrive, but could not get any information. After many days of not receiving any news or information, I finally got a VIN number from the dealer and that the car would have to be driven 100 miles. When I looked up the car online, it was the wrong color and located at a dealership 150+ miles away. I was extremely frustrated and when I spoke with the dealer about it, they said "Oh, we thought that was the color you wanted." Yea right! I told them at least 4 times! Needless to say, I cancelled the deal and am still waiting for them to refund my deposit. Too bad they lost out on the deal. I contacted some other nearby dealers and was able to make a great and quick sale on a vehicle. This dealer also had to have the vehicle driven to them, but from the time I contacted them to when I picked up the car was 2 days. They were also very transparent about the entire process. I would like to spread my true extremely terrible and disgusting experience to everyone who tries to get a car from this deceitful place. I bought a preowned 2016 civic here two months ago and I used it for only commuting and shopping purpose. I added no more than 800 miles to this car. Several days ago, I found the air conditioning is dead. Present time is the hottest time of a year and it's a torture to stay in a car without A/C. I took the car to the auto shops in my town, no one could fix it but the Honda dealers, since the civic after 2015 uses a very expensive new freon which is only available from the dealer. The mechanicians told me it would cost nearly $1000+ for ONLY recharging the freon!!!!! Not to mention fixing the defective parts!!!! I am so frustrated since I got the car for only TWO MONTHS driving for NO MORE THAN 800MILES! I called the Fox Honda, they offered ZERO help but insisted on A/C is not within the warranty and I should have bought the extended warranty! When I told them this happened within two months and they should not stand behind, the manager said "You'd better SUE ME" then hanged up the phone... Bull crap and disgusting customer service! Before I bought the car, I requested a NEW report of well-rounded inspection of the car as a part of the deal. They gave me a report describing all kinds of "perfect conditions" of the car. I later found out the report was NOT NEW at all! Such a deceptive business and a dishonest place! They care nothing about the customer but the money in their pocket. Pressured to sign paperwork on a Wednesday though I wasn't getting the car until Friday. I was told that they couldn't do the deal if I didn't sign the papers that day. (Month end) Two hours late on agreed delivery time. Roof rack slats not installed though paid for this was corrected. After the issues I had I called to speak with the owner and Ms. Fox didn't even have the courtesy to call me back. Very poor customer service from the owner. I believe in supporting hometown businesses but not when they don't appreciate your business. read more

Dealer From Hell In 45 years of buying new cars, this dealership is the worst I have ever dealt with. I found them through a discount car buying service that promised a no haggle price. Every step of the buying process was adversarial in nature. The salesman disappeared several times to consult the sales manager, leaving my wife and I sitting for extended periods of time. This was certainly designed to wear us down and prove to us that they were in charge. The sales manager appeared and treated us in a patronizing and condescending manner. I informed him that I refuse to be treated like that and my wife and I walked out. He shouted out "Good, go ahead". By the time we reached our car he was running after us asking to come back in. Much more haggling and wasted time passed. We finally agreed upon the pre-agreed original price. The car we wanted was not in stock but he would get one for us. The following day he informed us that the car would be in next week. We arranged to pick it up the following week. Since we live 200 miles away, my wife insisted that it checked over thoroughly and we wanted no surprises. The sales manager promised that it would be checked thoroughly. We agreed that I would pay with a personal check for approximately half the balance and finance the remaining through USAA Bank. When we arrived the following week to pick up the car, the sales manager accepted my check but refused to accept the documentation from USAA promising to direct deposit the balance electronically the next day. He stated that he didn't know if they would pay. He was required to call USAA to finalize the transfer. He refused and requested that we finance the balance through their bank. I refused and told him that we were leaving. He yelled at me in front of others that "What was he supposed to do now that he put $1500 worth of dealer accessories on the vehicle?". I responded that it was still his car, he could do whatever he wanted to do with it. He agreed to call USAA. After 15 minutes he said the deal could go through. We checked over the car and found damage on the bumper that was sloppily covered over with touch up paint. They agreed that it would have to go into the body shop and set up an appointment at our convenience. It took about 10 days to set up the appointment on a date that we would be in the area. They said it would take all day. I asked about a loaner vehicle since we live 200 miles a day and did not want to sit around the dealer all day. The service manager called back and told me the sales department would not provide us with a loaner. I had a conversation with the General Manager of the dealership about my experiences. She said she was sorry, and I must have rubbed the sales manager the wrong way. She reminded me that they receive the Presidents Award year after year for outstanding customer service. I finally called Honda America with my complaint about the loaner car. Shortly after my call, I was called by a customer relations person from the dealer informing me that a loaner car would be waiting. Honda America called and said it was ridiculous that I was not offered a loaner car, especially since the damage on the car was their fault. They are sending me a certificate for service at any Honda dealer to help pay for my gasoline and for my inconvenience. One last problem. My temporary registration will expire in two days because of the dealerships incompetence in filling out the paperwork incorrectly. They sent me new applications last week after I called to ask about it. They said I should receive it today, after six weeks. Unbelievable. If you deal with Fox Honda, expect to be treated like it was still the 1980's, and hope you don,t rub the sales manager the wrong way. read more

If I could rate this dealership any lower than 1 star, I absolutely would. My experience with Fox Honda has been atrocious and the absolute worst experience I've ever had with car sales. To sum it up, the communication was absolutely absent. I brought in an leased car that I was trying to get out of and find someone to buy it out, which I was told on the phone and then again many times in person that the dealership was purchasing it to sell on their own lot. They said I had about $200 equity in the old leased car, which they deducted from the new lease deal I was opening with them. I asked specifically if I was going to need to pay my old miles since they were buying it out and I was told I wouldn't have to worry about it. All of a sudden I get a bill from the old lease because Fox Honda didn't actually buy the car as much as they lead me to believe that. They called a local Acura dealer who came to pick it up instead and the car was then taken to the Syracuse auction. So now I paid thousands of dollars in fees and a downpayment for the new lease I opened with Fox Honda AND I owe thousands for the mileage I was told was taken care of and not to worry about. To add to that, we were also given a lemon at first after several inspections and guarantees it would be fine. There was a dome light issue, tire light came on the first day I took the car home, and then after they inspected it AGAIN I got a flat minutes after leaving the dealership's service department. This wouldn't be a huge issue had I purchased an old car, but it was a 2019 HRV with maybe 200 miles on it. These issues should not have ever happened had it gone under proper inspection.They swear they inspect the car before you take it, they inspected it after the tire light came on, and after I came back a third time with a flat and the tire light never came back on, I left with a different vehicle because I didn't feel safe or that I was treated fairly OR that I could trust the service department to do their job. I spoke with Justin several times throughout these experiences and he has been slimy, rude, and VERY unclear about every single thing he worked with us on. I wouldn't trust that guy with ANYTHING. I spoke to him on the phone yesterday regarding my concerns on the vast miscommunications that happened under his watch and directly from him and he began the phone call with, "You knew this bill was coming, Taylor, come on." It was incredibly rude, accusatory, and truly felt like he was intentionally talking down to me because I'm a young woman. My husband tried calling yesterday, but Justin was so conveniently out of the office for the day minutes after we hung up the phone, so my husband requested for a call this morning. On their phone call, Justin actually raised his voice and began yelling at my husband, while my husband was frustrated but kept his calm. Not so professional, Justin. I would genuinely like to see Justin and any other employee at Fox Honda treat a middle aged white male this way or try to be sneaky with a deal with someone fitting that demographic. I guarantee it wouldn't happen. All in all, I've had the worst experience leasing a car from this company and would HIGHLY DISCOURAGE everyone and anyone from doing business with Fox Honda or any Fox dealership. They won't be true to their word, they won't do right by you as a customer, they won't respect you as a customer or human, and they may not even sell or lease you a reliable or trustworthy product no matter how many inspections they've done. read more

Do yourself a favor and stay as far away as you can from this Dealer. They are cruel and abusive and dont care how they conduct business I put a month of my time into this and they didnt disclose many things to me. I had the car checked out and it had a few problems and when I called they got abusive, started bullying me, and and pulled the deal on me when I had a deposit on it. I sent an email begging them to make this a positive experiance and sell me the car and talk like adults and they cut all communications. I had cash in hand and car was insured ob my policy. I seriously doubt that the owners know about this as they are great people and very generous and help people. This is the worst treatment Iv ever experianced. To make matters worse is they lowered the price $500.00 the day after I sent a email begging them for this car. The owner represents 42 brands at 32 locations, About 22 dealerships, Real estate co, NBA team, So can anybody understand why a company so large would pick on me and deny me business with ABOSOLUTELY NO EXPLANATION. This place is awful. My daughter's car had some issues, she was on a long trip, so pulled into this dealership, it cost 135.00 just for them to look at it! They did something, but it didn't fix the problem, so she turned around & went back. They told her it would be 3000. to fix and pressured her into buying a car as she was stranded. Long story short, after keeping her there for 3 hours and passing her around from one person to another, and getting 1000 deposit, they said she would need to get a rental to get where she was going. Let's just say they were so rude.........that I walked out of there pulled the Fox names plates that go around my actual plate off my car and left them outside the showroom door. My wife and I drove from Syracuse to Fox Honda in Auburn to look at a used Honda Odyssey. When we arrived, we were disappointed to learn that the van had just been purchased by another customer. A manager then approached us to tell us that she had just purchased another Odyssey (same year, model, color, trim, etc.), and that it would arrive in a couple of days. We were also told that although this new van had 8,000 less miles on it, they would sell it to us for the same price as the van we had originally expressed interest in. In the end, we were able to negotiate a good price for the vehicle and our trade-in. Overall, I had a great experience at Fox Honda and would certainly recommend this dealership to others. First, I went to the Fox dealership last July on a whim to look at the new Honda Ridgeline. I had no intention of buying one. They had a 2018 that I looked at & really liked. The salesperson asked if she could see what my Ridgeline was worth as a trade & I agreed. The price was outstanding. I checked with my local Honda dealer where I bought my truck on Vestal Parkway in Vestal NY for the same new truck. THE PRICE AT FOX HONDA $5000 LESS than my local dealer in Vestal & they were pricing a 2017. So my new Ridgeline was purchased at Fox Honda. Tuesday of last week, I called Fox Honda & told them that my brakes seemed to be dragging. I was told by Tami to come in Wednesday @ 10 AM & they would check my brakes. That day I was taken in promptly @ 10. I also asked them to change the oil b/c it was just about due. The brake system was checked over, test driven & I was told by Tami that they would change the brake pads even though they could not find anything obvious. So they changed the oil/filter & also installed new brake pads. I was charged for the oil change & was not charged for the brake pads or brake service. I left a happy man thanks to Fox Honda! read more

On Monday, I purchased a 2017 Honda Pilot EX-L from Fox Honda. Throughout this year, I searched for a new Pilot and was in communication with Honda City and La Macchia Honda in Syracuse, NY. My Fox Honda experience was heads and shoulders above the other dealers. I first worked with the internet sales team who took the time to take pictures of the Pilots on their lot and sent the pictures to me. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted. I was quickly placed with Dick Royea. Dick was polite, direct and to the point. The whole team worked hard to meet my needs and I was able to take my new Pilot home with me on Monday despite making the purchase late in the day. BEWARE of the business practices of this dealership!!! I recently leased a 2016 Honda Accord from Fox Honda. To say my experience was unpleasant would be putting it mildly. They bum rushed me through the entire process( of course this is their goal). My payment was more than was quoted, they never made the first payment on my lease, which the promised. I was in the market for a new (to me) vehicle. My daughter highly recommended Honda. I live an hour away from the closest Honda dealer but I went to Fox Honda in Auburn, NY. My salesperson was Joe Siddel. He was wonderful. Being on the short side, I have a hard time finding a car that fits me. The first car I looked at just wouldn't work. With the seat all the way up, all I could see was the hood - no road. We started to walk the lot. As we rounded the corner I spotted MY CAR! A 2013 Honda Fit. It was love at first sight. Joe arranged for me to take it home that night. Since it was late in the afternoon, I did have to go back the next day to get my custom plates after they were transferred. Dave - the financial guy - was awesome too. Did I mention they paid off my trade and I paid no money down? I couldn't ask for anything more. Had a bad experience at Fox Chrysler four years ago and ended up walking out on a deal signing the final paperwork... but decided to give them another try a month ago as they had the specific car I wanted. Mistake once again. HORRIBLE customer service, no follow-up. No one knows what the next person is doing there. I called to make a complaint and absolutely nothing was done. I will never purchase from them again, and I will share my experience with anyone who asks. Just to ice the cake, 8 miles away after driving off the lot the new car's gas light comes on. You do not want to do business with this dealership. Buying or leasing a vehicle is supposed to be a happy occasion. Trust me you will not be happy. I was quoted a price only to learn that it was more than we agreed. I stipulated several times to two of the salesman that my down payment was to include my first months lease payment. If I could give this place a lower rating I would, I had the worst experience there both in sales and service. Employees treated me with disrespect and acted like they were doing me a favor by even talking to me. I met Jane Fox at a local store, mind you, I never mentioned my experience there, I simply told her I caught a commercial of her's recently she turned her back on me and treated me like I had really inconvenienced her by even saying anything. You know that feeling you get when you've met someone that's just an all out horrible human being, right to the core? I got that feeling within seconds but trying to give her the benefit of the doubt I was nice... only to have that feeling confirmed within minutes. I will NEVER go there for anything, strongly urge you to save the frustration by reading this review and not wasting your time or stressing yourself out by dealing with these idiots. In 15 years I've never even heard ONE positive experience with any Fox dealership, even after meeting some former salespeople, they all seem to have horror stories of malpractice and just a general disdain for Jane Fox. That would explain why everyone there seems to be a miserable zombie. It also explains why they're always looking for salespeople. A former employee named Rodger or Robert that I had met at a local pub in Elbridge told me he was fairly sure that Jane Fox could possibly be the devil. That made me laugh but he wasn't joking around, he looked me square in the eyes and told me... "no, you don't understand... she IS the devil" I guess not only should you stay away from these places but if you see Jane, stay away from her or she may actually send your soul to an eternal abyss of flames and tourture. read more

My husband and I decided we wanted to purchase a vehicle outright from a reputable dealer and buy an extended warranty as we transport our most precious cargo...our children...on a daily basis. We picked a 2006 Saturn Vue with 58K miles on it. When we met with the salesman the vehicle had an odd rattle to it. He assured us they would fix any issues, do a thorough inspection, and only sell the vehicle if it was 100%. When I picked the vehicle up I was assured it was flawless. After signing the contracts the salesman laughed as he informed me the man who owned the vehicle prior to me had tried to self install a remote starter, had given up, and left it half installed in the vehicle. He said they removed it and I was all set. I voiced concerns for electrical issues and was assured I had a warranty and was good. Right after the 60 day lemon law warranty period passed I began having issues with the vehicle. The dealer's service department was very nonchalant about all of it reminding me I was past the point where they were liable. The extended warranty company did not authorize tows to the dealer citing the distance was too far so I had another local garage fixing the issue. We thought we had the issue resolved in November after being left stranded with my kids on 3 occasions and needing the vehicle to be towed. The last instance caused the vehicle to turn off sending my kids into an intersection without the ability to steer the vehicle. At that juncture I was advised that the vehicle thought it was being stolen and was shutting off as a safety measure. I had the vehicle serviced and the other garage thought they fixed the issue. I had a light on my dash still lit up but attributed this to a door latch that also needed repair. The problems persisted even after the latch got fixed and finally the other garage took the vehicle apart. They discovered I was having issues related to my Body Control Module which is all a direct effect of the remote starter being removed. I spoke with the salesman who clearly recalled telling me about the remote starter and was horrified at my ordeal. He put me in touch with the GM of the dealership but instead of dealing with her I got their PR woman who was concerned about my Facebook postings. I was asked to have the other garage fax them invoices (as I sat for a 5th time with no vehicle-for 9 days in that stretch). The warranty company would not authorize a rental citing a remote starter was not a factory issue. I spoke with numerous garages and was advised by all that my issues would have begin with the wiring being messed with when the remote starter was removed and that they all recommend that their customers not install a remote starter as they open themselves up to the risk of wiring issues once they do. A few days later I got my vehicle back. I was advised it is fixed but once your wiring is compromised you will always see corrosion and have issues down the line. I spoke with the PR woman from the dealer and was advised that they had no obligation to make things right, told me there was never a remote starter and that I could meet with the GM and they would swap me into a comparable vehicle as a good faith gesture. I asked to meet with her and the salesman and was abruptly advised that he was out of the picture and unavailable to me. I met with the dealership on 1/16/12. The GM sat down for under a minute, leaving me with a salesman who had no idea the history of my situation or the issues. He asked me what I was seeking and I told him I would accept a vehicle as old as a 2005 and would even accept an additional 5-8 K in mileage if I liked the vehicle. I told him it had to be automatic and four door as well. He then had me sit another 20 minutes while the GM was in a meeting. After she came out he spoke with her briefly and showed me a car that they had listed for $1,400 less than what I had paid. It had 17K less miles than what I have currently so I was willing to swap into that vehicle even though it cost less than mine. He went and spoke to the GM and then returned telling me I would need to ay a few thousand extra if I truly wanted that vehicle. I told him he was nuts and that I had tried to play nicely. I advised him I had left the attorney out of it til this point but was prepared to file in court if need be. He stood up and said, "Oh, you said attorney? let me get your keys so you can leave." He then went into the GM, spoke with her, and she put on her coat and left. With that the assistant GM came out and told me I was being dramatic. He said he drove my vehicle and saw no issues. I informed him if there was even a 1% chance that the vehicle would break again and send my kids into an intersection, this was unacceptable to me.
