There was ample parking all around, there was free food left over from the VIP tent, cash bar, great seating (three rows of stadium seating for an intimate gathering) and some table seating in the front, and great performers. I would stop by here again if I was in the area, the value for the money is well worth it.

The sound is great, they still have the old school speakers you can put in your window (and they work) or you can use your radio. I was surprised they still have the speakers, most drive-ins have gotten rid of those long ago. The bathrooms were sub-par, but again, what do you expect for an outdoor theater operating on their last dollars. As a guy it wasn't that bad for me - I can imagine for a girl it wouldn't be the best. But for $25 myself, my girl, and her two kids watched 2 movies for $25 - that isn't bad at all. Going to the theater would have run us at least $40 per movie would be my guess.

The story line was easy to follow and the actors were spectacular. Parking is available off street or across the street at the Phoebe's lot for a fee. There is a concession stand and bar inside that offers candy, snacks, coffee, and alcoholic drinks (even a special creation for whatever play is showing). As a regular theatre-goer here in Rochester, I was SUPER excited to finally check out Syracuse Stage. They do co-productions with our LORT theatre Geva, and I have heard great things. The venue itself is classy, well maintained, with reasonable prices on everything from snacks to wine to tickets. Every staff member I interacted with was SO friendly. Special shoutout to the AMAZING box office staff! I had a conflict come up for my original show date and they exchanged me into a new date - no questions asked. At many theatre's, you have to pay an exchange fee or exchanges are only allowed for subscribers. That kind of accommodation will keep me coming back the next time they are doing a can't miss show (helllllo Amadeus next season!) Thank you to them for being so helpful and easy to work with! Even though the show I saw was not my cup of tea, I look forward to coming back and deeply appreciate them bringing high level talent to the upstate/central NY area. We are SO lucky to have a rich theatre scene, and Syracuse Stage is worth the special trip up from Rochester if there's something you're keen on seeing!

Having seen the movie many times, I was overjoyed to visit the museum, which contains a treasure trove of unique photos and artifacts related to the movie. While many of the items are replicas not used in the actual film, it's still a perfect place for fans of the movie to kill a bit of time perusing pictures of the cast members, some of which who visit the museum annually for events. Admission is a modest $5 donation, and they have a cute gift shop with items for purchase. Staff on site at the museum cannot have been any friendlier, and were willing to let us stay a few minutes even past the closing time as we had arrived shortly before they closed for the day. There is a perfect photo op spot to commemorate your bisit to "Bedford Falls." This particular museum is located in a temporary spot through 2026 while the original permanent museum is undergoing major construction and expansion. While I'm sure the permanent museum complete with theater.would be a perfect 5 out 5 rating from me, this temporary museum space was still a very enjoyable experience for me. If you are a fan of It's a Wonderful Life, make it a point to visit this museum in Seneca Falls. There is a bridge in town which served as inspiration for the bridge scene in the movie.

The museum itself is a small spot that is chock full of great photos and interesting stories about the movie and its cast, many of which were new to me. I learned some interesting tidbits and could definitely feel the care and appreciation with which the museum is curated. It is, though, very small, and surprisingly lacking in actual memorabilia--as explained up front, only 5 known movie props exist, most with private collectors. Perhaps unfair, but I guess I was expecting something a bit more. Still and all, worth a visit if you are visiting scenic Seneca Falls and the amazing Women's History National Park nearby. Make sure to walk over to the nearby bridge after your museum visit, which is definitely a convincing piece of this town's claim to be the "real" Bedford Falls.

Basically it's a lot of the characters from Charles Dickens novel A Christmas Story wandering around town in character. Skaneateles also has a lot of shops that are open and some of them are specials on the weekends during December. Took a bus trip with Scenic Excursions to Skaneateles for the Dickens Christmas Festival. What a…read morefun festive experience! It was a bit of a rainy dreary day, but that didn't deter our fun. The town, which is charming on its own, was turned into a Charles Dickens wonderland. There were Dickens characters wandering through the town all willing to talk to you (in character) and take plenty of pictures. We got to hear Christmas music along the streets of the town and enjoy roasted chestnuts (free). My FAVORITE event of the day was the harp music. A wonderful concert with 22, yes I said 22 harps performing a magical concert. Also free. The weather I'm assuming prevented the horse drawn carriage rides from being available but that was ok. We really enjoyed everything else. The festival is every weekend between I think thanksgiving and Christmas. Well worth the trip from Buffalo. I used the word before but again I'll say it. Magical! What a gem of a theater! Independently owned, showing one movie at a time, a mix of new and old…read morefilms, and a pretty great concession stand. Not feeling the typical boxed candy and popcorn? You can bring in a pizza from A.W. Wander just a few doors down -- owed by the same folks! Great spot for date night, friend hang, or solo adventure. One thing to note: because it's an older theater, the restroom is quite small and inaccessible.
