The parking lot is on Old Lancaster Pike. Very close to House of William and Merry, Letties, Wawa, Chef's Haven, George's Seafood, Dunkin Donuts, Two Cousins pizza, and Prima pizza. So there are plenty of places to eat near here and many other businesses in the area.

There is a lot of large equipment, but not a whole lot of variety or imagination in the different interactive functions. Reeves Park's playground (Phoenixville), Smith Memorial Playground (Fairmount Park), Freedom Playground (Haverford), and Aston Twp's new playground all have really imaginitive stuff, and just as large of an expanse (if not larger). I also have to give props to the Reeves Park and Freedom playgrounds for being fenced in (Smith is, but it's so big, the fence is not as containing as it could be). Kids Dream is not fenced, unfortunately, because it is a layer of safety I always appreciate, for young kids who run, and also just to keep out wandering dogs (the ones on a long leash whose caretakers aren't paying attention) or to dissuade sketchy people from hanging around (sorry but they're everywhere). There is a nearby walking trail, and it's also adjacent to township offices (shared parking lot). I do have to comment that there was a bit of litter generally around, which is never okay for a kids' playground. Also, this playground is pretty crowded. Parents seemed adequately considerate, but honestly, all the abovementioned playgrounds had a better vibe to me. Maybe because this place was built up by my recommendation and the reviews, but it wasn't as great as my expectations (and comparative experiences).

Bring your dog, if you have one, since this place is dog friendly. You can venture off to the Redd Park Trail which is a 3.9 miles, out and back, which goes through a wooded area. Anyway, a head clearing hike / walk was necessary the other day and my sister recommended the park as a place that could accommodate that. I have to say, it's a great place. The park is fairy extensive and, you quickly get the feel that you are in a very rural area even though you are in a densely populated college town. It was a gorgeous morning Wednesday when I walked the Pomeroy trail which is about three and a half miles round trip from where I parked my car. There were a few runners out, along with some dog walkers and the occasional deer. Overall it was peaceful and quiet. If you happen to be in the area and need a respite, definitely check this place out!

I chose the red trail as it was the longest at 4.1 miles and most difficult, but still a moderate hike. It had some rolling hills and one sharp incline, but not too bad. Keep in mind not all of it is tree covered, so about 1.25 miles of the 4 was very sunny, so it was getting a little hot. However it's beautiful and when i was there on a Friday morning it was relatively quiet.

The park is well maintained, has plenty of areas for kids as well as adults to be active, enough benches throughout the park and waterfront trail to accommodate most people visiting. The view of the Delaware River and the Delaware Memorial Bridge is pleasant and enjoyable, especially in the evening. I'm a park fan and visit plenty between here and Burlington. This is one of my favorites.
