Long story short here, found an Audi I had been dreaming of owning since 2012, they happen to have a 17' with decently low km on. I live in Calgary, dealerships in Edmonton. Do all the paper work before seeing the car. I asked about any damages etc, car needed the ppf (3M) replaced on the bumper, not the end of the world. But close to last minute tells me there's a crack in the windshield. I say ok no problem. Car arrives at my place after they drive it down to me with a second huge chip in the windshield. Long story short, cause the windshield had the 1st chip repaired, it can not be done again. So now I'm stuck with the bill of something that they clearly we aware of but didn't "fill me in" on the damaged glass which is about 3k to replace. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! I wish I would have read the reviews of this dealership sooner, but you think being a premium auto maker that going to them would be an amazing experience. Also insisted they were not responsible for the windshield after delivery. So now I see why!! PHUCK THIS PLACE! read more

Efficient, friendly, transparent and unpressured experience with my new vehicle purchase.

I booked a test drive online for a gently used Audi, and a salesperson got back to me within a day or two. We chatted, and everything seemed good for me to go and test drive the vehicle for the date I booked. The day rolls around, and I get a call from the salesperson about 3 hours prior to the test drive. He told me that someone has been looking at the car and they're getting ready to do paperwork, and do I want to put some money down to secure it. My husband is sitting beside me as I'm taking this call, and we're both very suspicious. I told the salesperson that no, I haven't even seen the vehicle, so of course I'm not putting money down sight unseen over the phone. I was quite upset since I had my heart set on the car, and I also felt like there was a good chance the salesperson was just trying to force me into the sale. I do not appreciate games like that. I wondered if he would have played the same game had he been dealing with my husband from the start! So, my husband and I decided to go to a Mercedes dealership that day instead. Now, Mercedes knows how to treat potential customers and make them feel appreciated. Long story short, instead of a used Audi, I ended up buying a brand new Mercedes, and to top it off, my husband traded in his car for his own brand new Mercedes as well. While we were signing the paperwork in Mercedes, the salesperson from Audi texted me that the deal fell through (shocking!) and was I still coming in for the test drive (LOL no). To add extra icing on the cake, in the few months since this event occurred, I've received spammy promotional texts from Audi, and I was also subscribed to their email list without signing up for it. So, I've had to unsubscribe from their email list at least once (the most recent being yesterday, which prompted me to write this review). The funny thing is that if the salesperson just stuck to the test drive as planned, I would probably have ended up buying that Audi. I urge you to stay far away from this dealership. Unethical business practices, among many other things. I brought my S7 here because my mechanic thought I had turbo issues. They ran their diagnostic scan - which showed ONLY turbo problems (I have a copy of this). They replaced my turbos for me, then when he went on a "test drive" they told me my car was rattling, and making a weird sound. Upon further investigation, it sprung a massive oil leak. None of this stuff showed up on a scan, so now magically I have a litany of issues? They wanted me to pay them over $5000 in labor to diagnose this new problem that THEY caused. I spoke with Sandra, the service manager who threw a temper tantrum and said that she will call JP auto groups lawyers if I wanted to go any further. I forgot to mention that they "randomly" also had an issue with reverse all of a sudden. After arguing with Sandra back and forth, she finally agreed to fix this for free as it was apparently only a software issue anyways. I had my car removed from their dealership and taken to a very reputable shop in Edmonton who told me they think my engine has seized or a bearing had gone through the engine. My car was driving fine when I took it to my mechanic, besides a small noise that I would hear, which is why I took it to him, he told me it was okay to drive to Audi to diagnose the turbos further. Audi said if it's turbo issues that I should tow it. I told them my mechanic wasn't 100% sure and said it was okay to drive but on their recommendation I had it towed. Their response to all of this now was the fact that my car was "not running" (even though I told them I was driving it perfectly fine, and I just was hearing a small noise - I'm sure they record phone calls so they would hear all of this, also my mechanic was a witness himself) and it had to be towed there, they didn't know the condition it was in. My mechanic said he has no problems giving me a letter advising all this. Had I known the issue this would cause not driving it there, I never would have had it towed. I should also have dash cam footage (with audio) that shows me driving my car perfectly fine, and you will be able hear the engine running fine (besides that small noise which you probably won't even hear in the video) the exact same date as I had it towed to them, on their recommendation. I posted this review when it happened almost a year ago and I received a phone call from Mike Beck (the GM) who said that after covid settles a bit that he would charge me $100 an hour to diagnose instead of the regular $155, if I would remove my negative review. While it was still highway robbery, I figured I didn't want to deal with the nuisance and I'd just pay and never do business with these shady people again. So, thinking Mike Beck was a man of his word, I removed my negative review. Now, whenever I call, he is never available. I've left a detailed message with my name and number and short description of what happened (over the past 3 months) I get no returned phone calls. Where's the integrity in business these days? I'm trying to get a hold of Audi Canada right now, so they know what's happening in their dealerships. At this point it's just unethical business practices and people should know. read more

Great service. Knowledgeable staff. Very different compared to other Audi dealership!

Parts department and advisors are horrible. Called ahead and spoke to "Ryan" at the parts department about glow plugs and brake pads. I was quoted a price for the brake pads and glow plugs on the phone, told me they had them in stock. When I arrived at the dealership I spoke with Ryan directly. I provided my VIN and he said there was an issue with the glow plugs they had. Apparently since my Audi is from the United States the glow plugs are different and the ones he had wouldn't work. That's absolutely ridiculous and totally false. He also told me that since my Audi was still covered under power-train warranty I couldn't get any service done in Canada. I explained that it wasn't a warranty repair but out of pocket and he said it didn't matter. I explained that I just wanted to buy the parts and then things went downhill. The brake pads were now $100 more than what he quoted me on the phone. He didn't check on the computer for that price, he just pulled it out of thin air. He flat out refused to sell me the glow plugs, saying the dealership is liable by law if they sell the wrong part. That's another thing he told me that was completely false. He became very rude and started mocking me. Kept on saying "Murica" while I was speaking, referencing myself being an American. As I was leaving I heard him mumble "Americans are so stupid". Not going to bother speaking to the manager as Ryan is on a path of self destruction with that attitude. That type of behavior at work will put him out of work. read more

UPDATE: 01/26/2017 - I called Sean back after he contacted me and was offered credit to their service department ($300) which I do not feel would convince me come back to the dealership. I feel like my concerns were brushed off. I was told that an $11,000 damage from the concealed accident would not affect the resell of an Audi at all; that they never intended for me to not know about the accident (but it did happen so now what?). I was also told that I never should have been made to wait the time that I did to get my remote starter installed. Also, I was told Audi brakes need frequent servicing and that it is normal for them to squeal because they are 'high performance'. I was happy to receive a formal apology but it doesn't quite make up for my experience. I feel like a lot of excuses were made and apologies were said but it doesn't really fix my problem at the end of the day. Sean said he would look into getting me a different A5 without me having to pay more for the vehicle but I'm not sure if that is even realistic. At this time, I will be taking my car to a different Audi dealership for future servicing. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I purchased a certified pre-owned Audi A5 from Audi Edmonton North back in August 2016. While the car is performing to my standard, I had to get the brakes replaced just last week (December 2016) because they were worn out and were excessively squealing every time I tried to brake. I only use the car to go shopping and to run errands so I don't think mileage played a factor in the brakes having to be replaced so soon. For a certified pre-owned vehicle, I would have expected that everything be recently serviced before the car was delivered to me. That being said, I find communication to be sub-par. It took me 3 months to finally get my remote starter installed (even though it was included in the initial sale of the car). I called numerous times and was told that they would look into it and get back to me - only for me to have to call back a month later. I finally got the remote starter installed in November 2016. Another issue I have is that I wasn't told that the car had been in an accident until I signed the financing papers. When I first saw the car posting on autotrader.ca, the CarProof report that was posted stated that the car was accident-free. When I finally signed the financing documents, the finance manager gave me a printed CarProof and I saw that the car had been in an accident. At the time, I felt I was already too far in to back out and I had already signed the contract. I told the finance manager that the CarProof that was advertised to me was clean and he told me that the accident was recent that is why the CarProof that was provided to me did not have the accident on it. I felt I should have spoken up then but being that this was my first vehicle that I bought from a dealership - I felt intimidated. Especially when the finance manager spoke to me about it as though it was not a huge issue. I was also told that they would look into the keyless entry on my car as it doesn't work. I have yet to hear back from them in regards to this investigation and it has been a month. That being said, while the service is up to standard and the sales/service reps (especially Xerxes and Nicole) are very kind and accommodating, I have mixed feelings about the dealership as a whole. I don't feel like the value I paid for my car was very worth it in the end as I paid a lot for a car that had been in an accident - which will highly effect the resale value of the car and it also doesn't seem like the car was recently serviced before it was delivered to me. I advise buyers to be aware and to proceed with caution due to my experience. read more
