Overall entire experience was shitty! Had them install an amp, converter and 2 subs that I had already had in an old car but was wanting it switched to a new car. When I went to pick up the car, they informed me that they didn't use my converter because it has "damage" when it looks brand new still. They then told me that they installed a 30$ converter in place for mine which is well over 100$. Then the audio was so bad from the subs, it didn't even sound like they were working at all. I then confronted them about the issue and was hit with instant defensive responses and reflecting questions. "Your cars factory audio is just to good" "the guy who installed it before didn't install it right". They couldn't owe up to the issue that they made and it was pretty obvious. After reading many of the reviews that seems to be a common issue with this company. If I were you... looking for a car audio company... this is not the place. If I hated someone and wanted to see there day ruined, I would send them here. read more

Second time visiting and they're were reasonable and fast! The service I requested was sub/amp install along with a couple door speakers and a backup camera. Spencer assured me that him and his team would provide a smooth install even with the custom box I brought. After riding for a couple days I am definitely pleased with the back up camera and speakers. I stayed a little while to ask questions about the install which they were pleased to answer. Fumbled on the 1-yard line Audio Ace installed a stereo and a rear cam in my old truck. The over all experience was very good until post inspection. First the good: Great facility, clean, organized, and very professional staff. The Install took two hours, they bid it at three hours, I paid for three hours. the owner Jon Hart was one of the installers because they were having staffing issues on this day. They would have gotten 5 stars but for me noticing a mass of wiring hanging below rear bumper. The rear camera wiring had excess lengths of wire, so it appeared the installer wadded up the various wires slapped 2 zip ties on the bunch and called it done. There were 2 grommets on the factory wiring that were pulled loose from their holes resulting in my tail light wiring hanging loose As well. I had to crawl under the truck and tidy up their work and in 10 minutes was able to tuck the wiring up and out of the way, thus the second pic. Too bad they couldn't be bothered to give me a couple extra minutes to do this right, especially since I paid them for the extra hour. read more

With cold weather rolling in, I decided it was time to set up my 5 year old car with a remote start. I called on a Monday afternoon and was told I could bring the car in after work and they would install the remote start the next day. Was quoted a price of $349 for an after-market system and install. I brought the car by and dropped it off - they already had my info from the initial phone call and were ready to go. By noon the next day, they called and said the install was complete and ready to pick up. They also gave me a head's up that my car battery needed to be replaced to ensure the remote start would function on the first try every time. When I got to the shop, they went over the features and made sure I knew how to use the remote start and gave me two key fobs. The price of $349 was exactly right for the install of a new Viper system and the crew was super nice and professional. Audio Ace is definitely awesome. I wanted to do the following on my F150: 1. Purchase and install a wired rear-view camera 2. Purchase and install a new head unit with large screen 3. Purchase and install all new component speakers, a small sub box under the back seats, and amplifiers for all I got two quotes, one from these guys and one from JML Audio, Audio Ace was literally less than half the price, that's amazing! And they did a very good job on all the install. Now I'm addicted to the increased bass in my car and want more, so they are working with me to increase the size of the box for a discounted price since I'm a return customer. Can't say enough good things about these guys. I hadn't been in the market for subs for about 10 years, and these guys helped me work on my budget and knowledge level to get a really nice setup at a fair price. It's been a couple months since installation and it's holding up great, no unexpected problems. I really liked how they were low pressure and didn't just try to lead me to their most expensive gear straightaway--that is MUCH better than the normal car audio experience, which is high pressure and low value. I told them what I wanted and they didn't try to pull me in another direction. They set me up for under a grand when another area installer had quoted me more than $3000 for an 'artisan' installation of a kit that would have sounded about the same. Only other feedback is I wish the 'showroom' were more noticeable. They had some stuff up front but there are more options people should know about as soon as they walk in--even if it means mentioning there's a room in back. read more

Ace Audio installed a complete audio system (front dash speakers, kick panels & speakers, rear deck speakers, head unit, subwoofer, and alarm) in my classic car spring of last year. All the products, such as the DD speakers, were highly recommended by the shop owner Jon. Jon convinced me that his in house equipment was top of the line and provided the best warranty available. Fast forward, I started to experience issues with my music shutting on and off, and the subwoofer sometimes not working a couple of months after the initial install (keep in mind this is a classic car that sits 95% of the year). I made several calls to the shop to schedule a date/time to bring my vehicle back within a 6-month time-frame but consistently got the runaround. I was finally able to get an appointment this (5/18/20) week. Upon arrival (5/18/20)I waited in the lobby an hour in half until someone finally came to look at my vehicle. I clearly explained the issues that I was experiencing with the music shutting off, and the worker immediately became very defensive stating "it must be something wrong with your Bluetooth connection on your phone." The worker hooked his phone up to my radio and the music continued to shut off. He finally pulled the vehicle in after 20 minutes of wasting time and trying to blame my phone for the issue. There were 3 guys in the shop troubleshooting my vehicle including the owner (Jon). After 0 communication, an hour later the guy pulled my vehicle out and started making accusations about how all my settings were turned up to the max, and as a result I blew my passenger side dash speaker. Anyone who has ever owned a radio knows that If you turn the settings or even the volume to the max, the music will sound distorted and staticky. I was told that I would receive a call the next day (5/19/20) so that they could check with the manufacturer about getting my speaker re-coned or either ordering a replacement. Considering I made several attempts to get my vehicle to the shop when the issue initially started months ago, I was under the impression that I would be covered with my "so-called" warranty but instead, I was greeted with vilification. Of course, I didn't receive a follow-up call the next day (5/19/20) and when I called the shop (5/19/20) I was told that Jon would call me back. After not receiving a callback, I called the shop (5/20/20) to get an update and was greeted by (Bradyn) with extreme insolence. Considering that I have a very calm, cool, and collected demeanor, I'm not sure why this guy had it out for me, but his tone and delivery were very condescending. Bradyn stated that "you blew your damn speaker by turning all the settings up to the max so you gotta pay us for a set of new dash speakers because they only come as a set along with 2 hours labor." After not coming to any kind of resolution I asked to speak to Jon and was told "he's gonna tell you the same thing, you shouldn't have blown your speaker." Jon (owner) got on the phone and instead of being apologetic for his employee's rude and obnoxious attitude. Jon continued to be confrontational by raising his voice and being dismissive, all while continuing to denounce my reasonable request. Jon appears to be very delusional because he (went left field) alluded to the fact that we had an altercation in the past at his old shop (delusional), which I thought was another weird and bizarre accusation, considering I've never met or interacted with this man ever in my life prior to this install. Furthermore, why would I do business with someone who I've had an altercation with in the past (insane)? This situation could have been handled and resolved professionally without arising to this level of pettiness, vulgar language, and bogus accusations. I strongly feel that I was being reasonable and fair by suggesting that they cover the (1) blown speaker (under warranty) which was roughly $75 bucks and I cover the (2) hours labor. I'm a firm believer in core ethics and integrity but unfortunately, every man doesn't carry those traits. read more

This place did really great work on my 2016 Escalade, had a bunch of installs done at Audio Express and couldn't have been more disappointed with the quality of work and finally decided to Change shops, after shopping around AUDIO ACE had the best prices, high quality work and systems. What can I say? A big shout-out to Audio Ace. These guys are the most professional and courteous installers I have encountered in the St. Louis area. I call them the two 'John's' because both of the men that work there are named John. But as far as I'm concerned, they are hands down the best two people that I will ever have work on any of my vehicles. Not only was the install perfect, but the price I was given was totally on point. I went to other audio shops during the weekend just to check out their prices and compare them to Audio Ace and in the end the other shops were charging over 100-150 dollars for what these guys did for a lot less and much better quality work. One shop which should be shut down for improper conduct, (the owner of the place was too busy drooling over two women that didn't even look good to give me the time of day) and which I will not call out, (Protection 24) should be out of business. The owner did not want to hear what I wanted done and when I finally did tell him after he stopped drooling over the women, he then proceeded to tell me he couldn't do it and that my equipment was "junk." Went to Audio Ace and had no such problems. Now all of my "junk" shakes my rear view mirror so much when the base is turned up that it seems like it is about to shake itself off my windshield which is fine by me. I will recommend Audio Ace to all of my friends and family as the one to go to for a stellar install and quality performance. Thanks again guys and you will be seeing more of me in the near future. I would like to say that Jon Hart and his staff are amazing! Not only are his prices great, they understand what customer service is. First, they offered to drop me off at my office and pick me up when my car was done. This was HUGE for me, not having to take time off of work or spend a Saturday getting my car worked on. Second, they discovered that there was a wiring harness that was not connected on one of the doors speakers. When they discovered this they called me immediately and let me know that they wouldn't have to replace the speaker because it was working just fine. I ended up getting more than I had anticipated (they installed an auxillary jack) and finished the rest of the work under the original bid. Audio Ace to me is St Louis' premier custom install shop. They are the only authorized dealer in STL for DD Audio, which is probably the best car audio equipment on the market right now. DD's affordable lower end line is better than most brand's high end line. The installer Mark is super knowledgable and was able to answer all my questions in a way I could understand, since I do not know all technical specifics of mobile audio. I had a minor issue (out of the control of the shop) and the owner Jon called me personally and went above and beyond to make sure everything was right and I was completely satisfied as a customer. I have had many systems installed in my vehicles over the years and I cant believe the quality of sound and professional installation for the price I paid.
