What he did for me~…read more 1) called looking for a Sony TV that was recently discontinued and the guy gave me two 45 minute educational phone consultations on everything I need to know about TVs,cable and Satellite and componentry. 2) Then he sold me a better TV than I wanted for less than the best price I found on the discontinued one! 3) THEN he sold me a blue ray DVD player super cheap to go along with the TV purchase! 4) THEN he personally came over and installed and programmed everything to my liking! 5) Then he gave me two pairs of real SONY 3-D glasses for my two youngest children who tore up his show room and store while he was educated me two days prior! 6) THEN Stuart guy further phone consulted with his vast knowledge a friend of mine and informed him of many issues of cable service and TVs as well.... 7) THEN I told a Pastor friend about Stuart only to find out Stuart was instrumental in the Pastor becoming what and who he is today! If i needed a TV or home entertainment system set up,I would call and have Stew do his thing with full faith and confidence in his work,pricing and subsequent customer service! Their showroom is bare-bones at best but their service is off the charts and the prices are scary low. Let me give you an idea of how good the service is. We had to make a compromise on the installation because of a 'wife acceptance factor'--no way she wanted some big piece of equipment exactly where it needed to go because of the way it looked. We knew this would cause a drop in performance, but I said OK and signed off anyway. But here is the thing. A month later, Stuart called up and said 'hey can I drop by' and said he had been thinking about the issue, made a modification and everything worked better--at no extra charge, just for free and because he wanted the job to be perfect. This was a month AFTER I had paid for everything and signed off! Would Circuit City do that for you? I think not. They have also talked me into less expensive options more than once. That ever happen to you at Best Buy? These guys are the best, by far, for high end entertainment installation.

When I emailed back with questions, their consultants responded promptly and even suggested popular tint and different PPF combinations to help guide us that fit our budget. Then when we came in for our vehicle dropoff, the front desk staff showed us examples of what each tint would actually look like on our windows. That hands-on visual made all the difference and helped us confidently choose the perfect tint for the front of our Tesla. We dropped the car off at 8:30am, and they completed everything within two full business days since we decided to do both tint and PPF. Bought an Alpine NAV head unit from Audio Design and had them installed it with a backup camera. Unit works okay (although it freezes from time to time and when it does I need to turn off and restart the car to reset it), but the installation and the wiring job is just embarrassingly BAD. First off, there are a couple noticeable dents underneath the head unit on the dash, looks like someone tried to pry out the old unit in order to put in the new one and left those marks with tools. They also have cut a hole from inside of the storage tray on the dash and ran the ipod/iphone connector straight out of it for some reason, instead of putting it in the glove box. Second, I also had a backup camera put in. One day the camera stopped working, so I went underneath the car to take a look to see if it was something obvious. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the wiring job... The wires from the camera was routed through the back of the car behind the left rear panel and came out from underneath the car. It dangled from the rear bumper across to the rear axle, wrapped around some hoses right above the rear axle a few times, then it crosses underneath from left to right side the car. From the axle, it continued forward, crosses through the rear joint of the leaf spring on the right, and then continued to dangle insecurely, wrapping around the leaf spring again, towards the front of the car. The wires were in multiple sections, joined together with some wire connectors and the extra wires bunched up together underneath the car with some electrical tape wrapped around it. The reason why the camera stopped working was because the wire was cut (right by the leaf spring). The most likely explanation is probably the wire was cut by the leaf spring during driving (why would you wrap wire around moving parts on a vehicle...??). Third, to power the backup camera, they routed power from the rear tail light. To do so, they remove the lamp assembly to access power, but they some how broke the seal for the lamp and the rain water had leaked into the lamp. I had to order new seal and new lamp assembly and replace the entire thing! I am still shocked to learn that a professional stereo place will allow the car to go out of their shop with such install. I basically had to solder the cable together, re-run the entire camera cable again with protective hoses through safe locations under the car. It worked for a few days and now the video image is going in and out again. Looks like I might need to re-run everything and probably replace the patch job with proper wiring. Not likely to be a repeat customer. read more

I had this place perform extensive work on my vehicle less than 1 year ago in excess of $1k. I have began to notice my navigation unit in my center console to be sinking, and the two monitors placed in both front seat headrests began to move and eventual the perimeter vinyl surrounding the monitors started to give. Equipment started to malfunction and wires that should have been hidden in the headliner began to fall down. I was planning a trip with my family and wanted to get my vehicle in order. I took my vehicle to another car audio shop in Campbell that was recommended to me by a friend. They dismantled my entire vehicle interior and found so many problems, some negligent, that it was appalling. The navigation unit in the center console was found to be held together by a piece of wood block? Velcro strips? and get the NO SCREWS. The two headrest monitors in the two front seats were installed with no rear encasement and no screws. Both monitors were basically be held in place by the vinyl, that is why the vinyl began to peel away from the perimeter screens and the monitors were sinking. It was also found that all the wiring to this equipment was improperly spliced and some wires were even disconnected. That is why some of the equipment was malfunctioning. It is clearly apparent now that they have untrained, unprofessional, workers in the installation department. They probably got the installers of the street and paid them minimum wage. In any event I have asked them for refund and they have declined. I now need to take them to small claims court in which I will. I highly recommend that you don't use this company. You will be wasting your money and time. Please go to a reputable place, the one I recently visited in Campbell, CA on Florence Way was professional, fair priced, and did meticulous work. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM AUDIO DESIGN. read more

I went to Audio Design to have them do custom headlights that included replacing LED Halos, painting the housing, and retrofitting in projectors. Marcus was in charge of the job and he was able to recommend a couple changes that in the end really made the lights stick out. The whole process took a little while, and I did have to go back twice to finally get what I wanted but in the end I feel like a got a good deal and the lights look awesome! I ended up getting Recon Headlights that were then painted Matte Black and we replaced the LED Plastic Halos with new XB RBG color changing halos that are so awesome! I get a ton of compliments on the halos. They just really stick out. The after market projectors they installed are great as well. They are way better than the stock lights I had on there before. In the end I am very happy with the job. Marcus was very friendly, helpful and worked with me to make sure I got the lights I wanted. I will be returning soon to now get an after market stereo put in. Thanks Marcus. read more

I have been working with Phil(store manager) for many years. He has done the whole systems in my land cruiser and my Audi s4. He has always gave me good prices and he is very good at following up to make sure I was happy. I read the other review on here about how someone was unhappy with his service. I don't believe it considering the way he always takes care of me. "Phil is old" are you kidding me?... He has a lot of experience and knows how to handle difficult situations. After reading that review I just felt like i had to put in my word. I will be going back to audio design for all my car audio needs. Some people can just never be happy. The key to making sure your getting a good deal is to shop around and get price quotes, talk with the salesman about the pricing you got and they will work with you. Don't just assume your getting a bad price when you don't even know the going price in the market. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE! Cannot express enough how horrible this business is. I paid for a car stereo and never received it and they have refused to issue a refund. This business is not only overpriced but are thieves. I bought the car stereo with a promise we could get it installed as soon as it came in. I blew a fuse and came in to get a new one. My speakers were not working on my 2008 Harley Road Glide. I thought it was a loose wire or bad…read moreconnection. I dropped it off at Auto Sound. Most of the labor to fix it is taking the fairing off and putting it back on, after finding the connection problem. The next day I picked it up. The charge was $280 or two hours labor. I asked what the problem was. Vincent said he did not know, and would ask Tony (who was not there at the time). But he said he saw Tony had taken the fairing off (which would account for most of the labor.) But I know the fairing was not taken off, since I taped it certain way, and the tape was not altered. I called Tony the next day and asked what the problem was. To his credit he did tell the truth and told me it was just a fuse. The fuse is just under a side panel which is easy to flip off. (See photo). It takes five minutes. Okay, you have to take the left bag off, but that is another 5 minutes. I did check the fuses before I brought it in, but I probably missed the right one, so stupid me. But the first thing a professional would do is check the fuses, and can track down the right fuse in another five minutes. I asked Tony, why two hours labor, and he said that is the minimum charge, and all the other shops charge that. But they actually don't since I checked. Plus he did not tell me it was a two hour minimum when I brought the bike in. So $280 to change a fuse. I would not have minded paying $140. But they are dishonest, and I would not recommend them.

Years later, I came back for window tint for a subaru sti and again as before never I had an issue with this guy. He was the definition of customer service. I got a Jeep srt later in the years and came back to get window tint only to find out he closed down. I was really bummed not gonna lie. I didn't want no one touching my car but this guy. So I bought this push button starter for my car, instructions said easy install, yeah right. First of all, turns out the relay was bad (thanks Amazon) I never would have known this but Thong caught it and used his own with the button I had already installed in my dash and, boom shakalaka boom! It's works like it came with the car. He is excellent!

I replaced it with a used Subaru Impreza that didnt come with a reverse camera. My mom uses the car alot, so she's going to need the reverse camera :) I arrived 15 minutes before closing on Friday and since I didnt want to keep them after closing, basically told them what model car I just bought, and what I was looking for. Double din head unit w/ reverse camera, and some aftermarket replacement door speakers. They asked if I wanted to keep the steering wheel control functions, which I did... so he mentioned what else I needed in order to keep them functional with the new stereo. He asked if Android Auto / Apple play is important to me, and if i wanted it wired/wireless. This day in age, we want everything wireless and convenient, so I said yes to the wireless feature! I mentioned I was interested in component speakers for the front doors, and he suggested where to install the tweeters, and also told me I would need some mounting plates for the dashboard for the tweeters. This way I dont have to drill a hole in the door panel. All in all... Its nice to have someone ask the right questions to ensure I had everything I needed to complete the installation over the weekend, because I would not have had the tweeter mounts if he didnt ask about my installation. I would like to mention that I wanted to have everything I needed for the weekend installation project, so I didnt check around for lower prices, but when I got home... the "Asian habits" in me decided to check prices on Amazon, and Guru's prices were either on par... or slightly below Amazon's prices! I didn't know what to expect coming here... I waited at the front of the garage for about 15 minutes. There was a guy smirking in the front, doing something with cables, 2 other people working on a car, and another guy going in and out doing some kinda repair work on a truck outside. None of them said hi to me. But I know they all saw me. It was very weird. Finally after about 10 minutes of waiting (I figured maybe the owner was on lunch, since this was about 1pm), I walked up to the smirking guy and asked if the owner was here. Then he just nodded and pointed to the right, which was a very small aisle BEHIND a big stack of boxes. It was very off-putting. But I was here, and I had a time crunch. The actual owner was nice... he asked about my car, and then showed me some models. I made a purchase, and he told me to come back in 2 hours. I walked to a nearby Carls Jr, about 7 mintues away. 2 hours later, right on the dot, I get a call to get my car, and they close sharp at 4:30p. The same guy who was walking in and out (remember fixing the truck), was the one who showed me how everything worked, helped me pair my phone. I paid about $950 after taxes. I don't know if that's a good deal, but everything works well, no scratches around the dash. If it weren't for the unwelcoming first impression, this would be a 5 star for me. I wanted to give them 3 stars, but this is clearly a small business owner. My hope is they read this and work on their welcoming attitude.

Didn't know what to expect since i usually go to a different shop for my Intoxalock recalibrations…read moreand lockouts but they were closed on a Saturday until Monday and I couldn't wait luckily I called and Howard answered and saved my life from being car less. He's super nice welcoming and personable the service was extremely fast and efficient and the whole time I was waiting he chopped it up with me gave a little more insight on his own personal history and life and it was extremely insightful and entertaining. I definitely recommend this shop to everyone. Thank you Howard 5***** if I could give more stars I would I'll be seeing you again for the next service

The owner was quite rude and condescending towards me. I was also charged $600 for 2 hours of work…read morewhich is way higher than it is anywhere else. And for the $600 I would expect the job to be professional, but he used T-taps and cheap crimp connectors, not even butt connectors as most decent car audio shops would. He installed the system wrong and I had to back to have it fixed. He then tried charging me more money to fix his poor job. I would steer clear from this shop, or if you have him touch your car please take photos of his work in case your car has an electrical fire, you can hopefully sue the shop.
