Called yesterday for a quote on a back up camera installation for my truck was told since it's labor only it'll be $120 soon as I came in the person told me it would be $160-$200. They will give you a price over the phone just to get you in the door and then want more once you arrive. Find a different shop if you are looking for honesty throughout the project. read more

Where to begin with my experience here! I would give 0 stars if I could, and I am starting to think the great reviews for Manny are some of his friends. My experience here was HORRIBLE, as Manny immediately gave me the impression that he was a great scam artist. I asked about 3 different stereos for my 2016 Nissan Sentra. Every time I'd ask about one on the wall he'd come out with a different stereo (more expensive ones) and some fake excuse on why I couldn't have the one I wanted. Some of his excuses were: my car is super difficult to replace stereos and it won't work, he's out of stock, Bose stereos "aren't good," and so many more lies. He acted very shady, when we asked him to price match he would look on a weird website and look under "Audi compatible stereos" then claim they didn't have the inventory to match my Nissan. When we pointed out the Audi selection on his computer he just ignored us and turned the screen away. He claimed my Nissan had some of the most difficult power wiring issues and that a replacement may not work, then he suggested we pay him half in cash now and mumbled something about credit cards having a hard time with refunds, but that if the install didn't work he could take the stereo back out and give me my money back? He then told me my price was $652 and when we asked to see the invoice he said we could only have a picture of it and scrolled up quickly so I couldn't see the bottom lines and their charges. I'm pretty sure he was making up charges as he went. My brother is an IT manager and when he recognized the website manny was using to buy the "necessary" parts from for my oh so difficult Nissan Sentra, he pulled up the exact parts such as the harness on his phone which showed for cheaper than Mannys quote and asked if he could price match to it (since he claimed he could price match) and Manny just ignored the question altogether. In the end when making the invoice to give me a quote he even had to ask again what type of car I had because he couldn't remember if it was Nissan or not. Funny when it was emphasized how difficult of an install it was for my car. The sales associate working on the floor in the beginning of my experience originally was very certain the radio wouldn't be difficult, even saying the opposite of some of the things Manny claimed. However once Manny came back from his smoke break and took over our transaction while acting suspicious, the associate seemed to catch on and got real quiet and let Manny take over. I was in there for about an hour and although I knew from the jump what he was pulling, I decided to just let it play out and see how far he'd take it. Eventually it became too much as more and more things were lied about and the stories began to overlap incorrectly, and I asked him what he thought of Best Buy. He said they have the same prices. I took a picture of his fake invoice on his screen and then a picture of the stereo, and left. I drove down the street to the Best Buy on McDowell and 99th ave and was welcomed by a great associate who told me that Nissans are easy, that any stereo fits my car it just needs a face plate to help the extra space, and found me a beautiful JVC and all the needed equipment/install/wheel control inclusion/backup camera all for $360! That's half what Manny tried to steal, and the stereo I got at Best Buy is newer than the one audio express tried to give me. Looking back I realized Manny suggesting we pay half cash and half card in case we want him to "take out the stereo due to the wiring difficulty" and he'd refund was probably how he makes a living. I think the owner should check out his invoices compared to what gets put in his POS system. Seems like a lot of cash may be going under the table. I'll include pics of the invoice (notice how it's scrolled to the top not showing the complete list of charges that equates to $650) and the outdated stereo I was told was my best option. Overall: go to Best Buy! You won't get scammed there. read more

Great job on installing a new alarm. Great price great service. The assistant manager was super helpful. They treated my simple $200 alarm install like I was spending thousands. Clean store and nice waiting room. Dropped my car off at the time they schedule. The assistant manager told me if I want to get lunch it should be done by the time I got back. It was done by the time I got back. Every one there had a smile and truly seams to enjoy what they do. After they were done one of the Guy walked out to my car and explained everything that was done and how the features worked. I will return to this store again. Beware of Mannie. They will possibly break something in your car and say they're not responsible for it. I took my car up there to have my rear deck speakers replaced and the latch to lock the rear upper part of my seat was broken and me and the sales man Josh went back there before they did the work to my car. So when I noticed it wasn't locking they told me they'll fix it and had me come up there twice with no fixing the problem. I was told that it was a Coincidence that the seat latch stopped working and they are not responsible for it...I thought These guys where good at what they do but you can't break something that was working just fine before they worked on it. These guys are the best. I tried to do my own audio swap in my little MX-5, seemed straight forward and pretty easy. Watched some videos, had all the tools, talked to tech support. Ready, set, go. All went well until I got to a spot where I needed to tap into a little wire, not connect two, tap into one with another and it was way up under the dash with almost no room and the wire did not have much play. I looked on line for a little connector that would work and found one. So off I headed to the auto parts store, nothing at ORielly (never heard of such a thing), same with Pep Boys, but they suggested Audio Express up on Thomas and 75. So, off I drove to AE. Once there, I stated my problem to the salesguys. As I anticipated, they did not know what I meant. But then a technician from the back came up and asked if he could help. He knew exactly what I was talking about, said he would be right back. In a few minutes he returned with the connectors that I needed...PERFECT. He explained how to use them, gave me four and a foot or 18 guage wire. Did I find the right place or what. Without the tech, I think his name was Craig, I would still be wandering around looking for a small part that made a big difference. Cannot thank them enough. read more

I had issues with 2 separate installations in the wife's car and my truck. Just so happened that they both happened at the same time, but after speaking with the store manager, Manny, he left me feeling assured that he would get things corrected and to bring them both in the next day. Bought system for my car 2016 when new, it was a lease so I went back to have the amp tvs out , they just took it out didn't hook the speakers back up. I think I went to their relocated shop on 75th Ave & Thomas, but I just got a new stereo receiver, and some speakers for my doors. So far, I am loving my new gadgets and I am VEEERY pleased with the service I received. Right when I walked in, I was greeted by Josh, and he help me out through my whole process. He did not make anything difficult at all. After his team installed the receiver and speakers (which only took about an hour and a half), he showed / walked me through its functions. He IS awesome. I would recommend going to him. All the other employees seem like they know what they are doing as well. This new/"relocated" shop is super clean and friendly. They do payment plan as well, which will be helping me out even more, feeling satisfied with my new installations. This location is somewhere I would recommend my family and friends to! Poorest quality of work and customer service. Read the whole review. Do not waste your money or time with this place. Every thing seemed great up until I went to leave after install off six speakers and radio unit. I tried to open the driver side rear door and could not. That door has a child safety lock that always stayed locked from inside but always opened from outside. Manny said he tried to undo the safety lock because he was inside and couldn't get out. So now I had to hold driver door auto lock to open rear door. After Manny told me he fiddled with the lock and now the door does not function the way it did when I dropped it off, he told me he is not responsible and would do absolutely nothing to help me. Now that's the first issue. The tech that did the install left all of the old speakers and other loose materials all over the inside of my truck. As the days passed I'm seeing more issues. Sections of my dash are damaged and not lined up. Wires are hanging down from under glove box. Panel clips are missing from a couple of doors leaving the panels to vibrate. Driver side rear door no longer locks which means all of my new equipment is vulnerable. Alarm no longer beeps when locking truck. I will never recommend or use this company again. One more thing, I work for a very large RV company and have done business with this location before. One of their techs moved one of our RVs to do a simple radio install. He ended up doing some serious damage to the rear of the rv. Stay away from this place. They are a joke! read more

I don't even know where to start lol. First 75th Avenue and Thomas never go to. The worst location with audio express. I purchased speakers for my car front and rear including the tweets I also bought an amplifier for them. Well...driving home I realized all the sounds were not there the Songs sounded empty there were vocals that were not there and certain sounds. Come to realise all 4 speakers were playing off the left channel only. When I called 75th Avenue in Thomas location they Were already Up for a fight telling me that I will not get that quality with the system that I have unless I buy some extra amplifier 1st of all I spent $1500 on a high and sound system and there tell me I can get stereo sound?!?. So I called the location on 23rd street in Indian school and boom Scotty karate to the rescue. He was looking at what I bought he said That it's impossible that they could not give me stereo sound for the high end sound system that I got. So I picked up my car took it to this location and everything was solved no extra cost for parts come to find out they had wires crossed in the wired my car totally wrong. Think you Scotty karate for coming to my rescue the best customer service I have ever experienced. So the technicians on 75th Avenue and Thomas need to be retrained because I was told his top technician took a look at my car in that I need extra amplifier to get stereo sound freaking ridiculous. read more

The subwoofer that I had them install blew out on me and when I came back to get the system checked out they took care of the issue for me. I am very satisfied with how I was treated. But I went to this location instead) he took my car in and repaired the passenger window crank, ordered the part for the driver side. I called mid day and Tom answered the phone. I explained that I had called a few other stores and nobody had the sub I wanted. I was happy to hear they had multiple Alpine Type R's in stock and a box to match the 12" sub. While on the phone I told Tom I was in a bit of a hurry and asked if he could put it in a box for me. He said no problem and it would be ready by the time I arrived (20 minutes.) Once I got there I asked for Tom and he kept his promise. Everything was mounted and ready to plug in and play. At another Audio Express years ago I have purchased an old amp, sub and Pioneer touch screen DVD player and then sold that vehicle and had Audio Express at that other location reinstall the factory radio. I then purchased a Nissan truck then came to this location and had Manny and his crew reinstall my previous old amp, sub and Pioneer DVD touch screen player in to that vehicle. In the store I decided to pursue a new remote start alarm system as well. I paid a little bit more than what I wanted. Do not allow these butchers to work on your car ever I just spent the last three hours gluing my sons dashboard back together because they broke it in several places (checking to see why the radio was so loose) when he complained they said it was due to sun damage come on you guys are hacks I guess the sun drilled a dozen holes in his dashboard to, and tore the headliner go somewhere else anywhere else The absolute worst junior high level install I have ever seen! The "manager" Matt provided an unceremonious audio demonstration at deafening volume levels. He took the door speakers he had playing, and tuned out most of the mid and low frequencies in a crude and obvious attempt to up-sale me. He re-tuned the receiver very quickly, in a manner I'm sure he was hoping would go unrecognized. Without a doubt the worst audio demonstration and sales pitch I have ever endured. People don't need to be tricked into buying more expensive equipment Matt, they want to be sold on it, the role of the sales person is to establish a partnership and demonstrate value. I took my 19 year old car in for an upgrade to the speakers having already replaced the stereo in another shop... the other shop was a nightmare and I wanted to give AE my business as I assumed my late-wife's car would be well taken care of by an established organization... I wish I had taken it to the nightmare place again. When installing the rear speakers, they broke both moldings on the side panels and then claimed it was not their fault because the car was old. I specifically told them to not install the rear speakers if they felt they could not do it without damaging anything... so how the broke BOTH is astonishing. The speakers don't even work well. This work was actually done almost 18 months ago and I finally couldn't take the irritation anymore as I see the broken panels each time I get in my car because I cannot afford to fix them. Had my car audio system & a Viper push to start alarm installed here. Had some problems, for example the 12" sub in the back of my vehicle wasn't properly secured. I had to go back and instruct them to use screws to make it secure, like really man? You do this for a living you should have known that. Also there was a very minor glitch with my Viper Push to start remote, and when I went back (yet again) to this location there was a long wait and I was told they can't just fix it for me right away. The kid behind the counter literally said "What if I pull in your car and some gangsta gets mad at me man?" Like seriously? If you're scared of gangsta's maybe you shouldn't work in the hood bro. Get a safe job like bagging groceries or something. I then proceeded to go to another Audio Express in the valley and they fixed my Viper remote issue within 15 seconds in the parking lot. read more
