Thanks for all your help! I know I made your lives difficult (who new $425k was such a good deal:0)…read more but we got to the top! My new tenant may also be my new girlfriend;) I will recommend you to everybody at Ben & Jerry's. Great Job, I'm couldn't have been more pleased.

I recently had the pleasure of working with New England Landmark Realty, specifically Cindy Lyons,…read morefor a second time in the last 7 or 8 years. The first time I worked with her, it was as the seller of a rather straight-forward home sale; everything went off without a hitch, as I would hope and expect. The normal pieces of pretty much everything being taken care of for me were certainly present; with all of it being cleanly, smoothly and professionally managed across the board, but the idea that my realtor was so much more than that, more like a close friend stuck with me over the years. Fast-forward those 7 or 8 years to my current interaction with Cindy (which turned into calls & emails with Tony Walton as well) and the purchase of a partially improved piece of land and construction loan. New England Landmark was not the listing agent, but I called Cindy just to see if it were something she might be able to help us with (mind you, this was after 5 or 6 'unofficial' calls to Cindy that she provided me a bucket-full of useful information, recommendations and assistance - I thought I should really formalize the whole arrangement!). At the time I placed my call to Cindy, I was literally pulling my hair out, frustrated with the entire process, stressed beyond anything I had experienced and ready to figuratively throw in the towel, (more literally I would have likely thrown that towel, or a big rock, at someone). When I hung up, I exhaled for the first time in weeks, called my wife and said: "We're all set, Cindy is going to take care of us" I had no idea how true that statement could have possibly been; the navigation of a process that included 3 postponed closings, several interactions with the selling agent, circulation of what seemed to be an endless stream of documents (often the same one 2, 3 or more times), coordination of multiple disparate parties (our purchase had more than the "traditional two parties", including one out-of-state), a contested appraisal - pretty much everything I could have thought could possibly "go wrong" (and any number that I couldn't have thought of) and there was Cindy leading the way through the fog (or blackest night as I was beginning to feel). I should also make the important note that not a single one of these difficulties was created by, or the fault of, NELandmark Realty; 100% of the issues were external to them - Cindy just managed them for us. Then on closing day, at something that she didn't really even have to attend (as far as I know) as she wasn't the listing agent and wasn't signing anything, there was Cindy already at the bank waiting for us to show up. Of course closing didn't go smoothly either, but Cindy sat right next to us and weathered that next storm with as much grace and aplomb as she had shown over the previous 4 months. So now, 4 months after that phone call, we are finally ready to start building our home; and it is with absolutely zero creative license or hyperbole that I say, literally, we would not be getting ready to start construction if it were not for Cindy Lyons, Tony Walton and the New England Landmark Realty crew. I wholeheartedly recommend and encourage you, your family and friends give them a call and experience how real estate can and should be done - my guess is that not only will you be pleasantly surprised, you might also come away finding folks you end up calling friends..... Mountain View Property Services also builds decks under their decks and patios tab, which you can view here. https://www.mtnviewservices.com/deckspatios, and this is how I found them. My online consultation was great, and generally speaking the design aspect went well until it came time for material samples and timelines. That was when they stopped communicating, responding to emails, phone calls, or text messages. After my deck was demolished, they basically vanished, and after almost 2 months of no work being perform I had to terminate my contract, request my money back, and start over with a new contractor. Very unpleasant experience, and the owner has deferred any responsibility to this day.

Let's just say we moved in to a not so up to par apartment, but we moved out and left it 100x better than we found it. Promised to fixing things and never did or it would take constant calls and texts for him to come; those projects were never full finished. We made sure we would get our security deposit back, as my partner cleans and repairs housing so we knew exactly how to fix any small issues from normal wear and tear. It has now been 24 days since we moved out, I notified him on the 31st that we had moved out and cleaned. According to Vermont state law, he has 14 days to provide me with a statement of why he is not paying, or a check-- he has done neither. Multiple attempts via email, texts and phone and no response... DO NOT PURCHASE/RENT ANY PROPERTY FROM MICAH PAROLINE OR HIS COMPANY.

Got rid of a maintenance guy because he replaced the dishwasher when we moved in because it was full of bugs, chicken bones, broken glass, and it also had a broken piece on the bottom. Windows were falling apart, and the new maintenance person said they needed to be replaced 10 years ago then didn't do anything about them. Mold grew through our ceiling and we told them it needed to be removed, cleaned, etc, THEN painted over... All they did was paint over it, just so it could grow through it again and get worse... The paint job was also botched, and not well done. When I went in to change paperwork because my name changed, she had no idea who I was and scoffed when I told her the name change. When we originally signed there was a verbal agreement that when we were ready to leave, they would give us paint and we would repaint the place... We emailed, only to have her tell us WE needed to get the paint. Paint is expensive and NOT our responsibility. Got our deposit back today after leaving, only to find that the check was written to my fiance only and the paperwork to go with it had my original name, not my new name. Honestly I have had an awful experience and I heavily recommend NOT going through her... Like I said, I can't speak for the rest of the company though. The front desk ladies were always very nice.

If you are looking for a real Vermont experience, The Moose Meadow Lodge is a great start to the journey. This beautiful home with cabin vibes has brilliant decor and character throughout the property. The amenities are far beyond what you'll find listed, thanks to the selfless owners, Greg and Willie. At the very least, you'll have a very comfortable stay. Greg and Willie will go above and beyond to make sure your overall visit to Vermont is worthwhile. We decided to travel to Vermont last minute for New Year's Eve. We booked the Moose Meadow Lodge on the drive up. We were welcomed with open arms. Greg showed us around the property, the lobby shop, brought us to our room and explained all the unique and exciting details of the house and property. We woke up each morning to a beautifully prepared breakfast. Since our trip was so last minute, we didn't have much of a plan. Greg was kind enough to sit down with us and help us map out our entire journey. He even helped us map an alternate route home that was more scenic. We didn't get to everything on the list, but everything he mentioned was perfect. You can tell he has a genuine love and passion for what he does. His advice and planning alone made the experience excellent. I can go on and on about the perfect stay we had. You can tell Greg and Willie are very passionate about what they do. You will never experience this kind of attention and care at a hotel. We are already planning our next stay here.
