    Bar- so cute!

We stopped in on a Tuesday, and were so glad we did! What a great calm atmosphere for breakfast or brunch! We got a cord and flat white, both delicious and brewed to perfection. Hubby got the biscuit with the sweet jam, very yummy. I got the smoothed salmon, I liked the dill sauce, but it slightly overpowered the other flavors. But, still delicious and a good portion. I'd love to come back and try a breakfast boozy drink in the weekend. I can't wait to come back again!

So glad I checked this place out when visiting the factory. Stopped in for brunch on a beautiful sunny day so decided to sit outside on their spacious shaded patio that was dog friendly which we loved, but would have been perfectly good to sit inside too as it so beautifully designed and a chill welcoming atmosphere. Menu had lots of options and a Tex mex vibe to it. I will definitely be back to try more!

A great place for dining and coffee. I ordered the breakfast burrito and strawberry and cream French toast. The food was delicious. Service was quick and the server was nice and courteous. The place had a modern European vibe. The coffee was also very good.

Our second visit to August Sage at the Columbia Factory. We brought the pup this time and tried the patio on a nice June day. Great menu and love the service and staff.

My favorite lunch spot in Columbia, TN. The iced shaken espresso is superb and the bowl is flavorful and filling. Inviting space to work, take meetings, or just chill outside on the patio.

Really great and unique selections from end to end. The chicken tacos were my absolute favorite. The green pepper salsa was so different and delicious. The prosciutto sandwich was okay, not bad, but I probably wouldn't get it again. Service was very friendly and attentive.

Went here for lunch during a day trip to Columbia. It's a cute place located in Columbia's factory, with ample seating. The cafe can get quite crowded during the lunch rush. Service is extremely slow, so don't come here if you're in a hurry. It took 20 mins just to get drinks. It's pretty overpriced for the portions you get too. However, the food is really good! I got the matcha orange French toast and a fig salad. The French toast is delicious! I also highly recommend the shaken espresso. Overall, August Sage is worth a stop if you're not in a hurry and willing to pay a premium.

A great spot off the Columbia Square, located at the Columbia Factory. The menu is what excited me on my search, and it met the expectations once I got here. The Prosciutto and Provolone sandwich (added bacon) has a smoky flavor with a sweet flavor from the blackberry jam, and a crunch from the apple slices and perfectly toasted bread. The blue haze chai is definitely a drink I will be coming back for, with their homemade chai flavor. The service is friendly and efficient. You can order drinks at the counter or sit for drinks and a meal. This spot offers outdoor seating, and indoor seating at a table, couch or the bar. Very cool and beautifully designed space.

On a rainy spring day, a friend and I dripped our way into August Sage by complete happenstance. The urgency of hunger was threatening to wreck the vibe of our day trip spent thrifting in Columbia, so one glimpse of August Sage Cafe's bread-centric menu had us hunting for seats with haste. I could've spent a concerning amount of time hemming and hawing over what to order, but my growling stomach and growing faintness necessitated decisiveness. With what strength I had left, I uttered four simple letters, "B.L.A.T." Those four simple letters lead to one of the most memorable sandwich occasions I've had the joy of experiencing. Perfectly balanced in both flavor and texture, August Sage BLT should give seminars on "How to B(e)L.T." Some people mess with the classics in a way that makes me feel like a certifiable Boomer. Like why are we deconstructing that, what is boba, black truffle say what? Thankfully, this BLT managed to honor the tried & true while also elevating it. Beside me, while giving her Croque Monsieur the fork and knife treatment, my friend stated, without an ounce of hyperbole, "This is the best bread I've ever had. All bread should be like this. This is the only kind of bread I want." What you must know about my dear friend is that she has spent years working in bakeries, with a particular flair for sourdough loaves. Oh, to be back at August Sage sinking my teeth into that bread right this moment... For now, I will have to settle for feasting on the memory, and insisting that you go and try it for yourself.

Very cozy and welcoming atmosphere! Food and drink was good. I'd come back when it wasn't a rush hour (Sunday lunch). Overall, it is a good place to hangout, have a drink, and enjoy the day.

Located in the "Factory at Columbia," August Sage has a lovely ambiance with huge windows that let in plenty of natural light. We tried a few things from the menu, starting with the Herb Butter Candle. When the candle's wick would go out due to the air conditioning, the server would promptly come over to relight it. The Croffle was a bit smaller than expected and served slightly cold, but it was still understandable since there's whipped sweet mascarpone on top. However, I did notice the raspberries had some odd, greenish-blue spots on them, so I skipped eating them (see photo). The smoked salmon and toast came with a generous portion of salmon, which I really appreciated. During our visit, we also ordered a Dirty Earl with Lavender, but it never arrived. After assuming it was forgotten, we were surprised to see it added to the bill. When we mentioned it, they took it off without an apology, which left a bit of a sour note on the experience.

What a difference a year makes!…read more We came back after about a year, and I have to say, we were genuinely impressed by how much this place has improved! The food is WAY better, the menu has definitely changed, and we actually like the new menu much more. We visited on First Friday this month, so of course they were busy. Despite that, the service was amazing. I didn't catch our server's name, but he was a super sweet guy with glasses. Even with a packed restaurant, his service never dropped, and our food came out surprisingly quickly. That really stood out to us. Now let's talk about that homemade ranch... OMG. It is ADDICTIVE! Seriously, I could probably put it on everything. I ordered the Black & Bleu Wagyu Salad, and overall I really enjoyed it. It had great natural flavors from the sliced apple, bleu cheese, fresh red onion, perfectly cooked steak, mixed greens, and that nice crunch from the walnuts. My only suggestion would be to slice the red onion a little thinner and give the vinaigrette more flavor. The dressing was a little too mild compared with everything else going on in the salad. Fix that vinaigrette and this dish would be perfect! The wings were delicious, and of course I had to steal a bite of my husband's Saloon Smashed Burger and it was delicious too! Overall, two thumbs up! The interior looks the same as last year. We noticed a huge improvement in both the food and service compared with our visit a year ago. It's always nice to come back to a place and see that they've clearly listened, evolved, and gotten better. We'll definitely be back!

For having only a few other customers in there our meals took quite awhile to arrive. Once they did arrive the portion size was on the small side & the quality of the food itself was decent at best. Other than a nice atmosphere with a beautiful bar there was absolutely nothing that would make us want to return including a little on the pricey side ( 2 Small Entrees & an Iced Tea for $ 41.08 )

The fish and chips are excellent, the fried Brussels sprouts are a must-order, and I highly recommend the braised pork belly. It's absolutely delicious. My husband is obsessed with the elk burger and orders it every single time we visit. The only downside is the service can be very inconsistent. We've had visits with amazing servers who were attentive and provided excellent customer service. Other times, we've felt completely forgotten, no water refills, no check-ins, and long waits for basic things. If Birdsong Social could provide more consistent service, it would easily be one of our favorite restaurants. The food keeps us coming back, but your dining experience may depend on who is serving you that day. Love the ambiance, have enough space in between tables.

Absolutely Outstanding Experience at Birdsong Social!…read more I had the pleasure of visiting Birdsong Social on a beautiful spring afternoon, and it was perfect from start to finish, as always. The Steakhouse Burger is hands-down one of the best I've had -- juicy, flavorful, and cooked exactly right. The fries were cooked to perfection: crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and absolutely addictive when dipped in their house ranch. That ranch is next-level -- tantalizingly delicious and packed with flavor! I also loved having the seasonal Mango Cart beer on tap. It was refreshing, crisp, and the perfect complement to the meal. What really made the visit special was the outstanding service. All of the staff were excellent, but Summer D and Abby went above and beyond, making me feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of while I relaxed out on the patio. Sitting outside on a perfect spring day, enjoying my meal with my favorite country music playing softly in the background... it doesn't get much better than that. Birdsong Social has it all -- great food, fantastic drinks, a wonderful atmosphere, and a team that truly cares. I'll definitely be back soon and often. Highly recommend!

Just two of them on this visit. Secondly, unless you come here on a weekly basis, you won't get a hint of attention. Other reviews mention the same horrible service to anyone who doesn't visit this place regularly. You will be completely ignored. This evening the dining area was nearly empty yet we sat for 15 minutes before our drink order was taken. The mixed drinks are good, fear not. Then we sat for 35 minutes before we were able to attract the attention of a server, after several failed attempts. The board is good and hearty as is the spinach dip. The problem here lies in the subpar service, again and again and again. We really try to refrain from giving local establishments negative reviews, but the sheer lack of attention to anyone not hovering around the bar is ridiculous. At one point I walked to the bar to try to get the attention of our server and it still failed. They never checked on us. Never asked if we wanted a refill of water and didn't ask us if we wanted a second drink until we had to track down our bill. The final insult was the server asking my wife and I who were huddled up close on the same side of the table, if we wanted one check or two. Ugh.
