So glad I checked this place out when visiting the factory. Stopped in for brunch on a beautiful sunny day so decided to sit outside on their spacious shaded patio that was dog friendly which we loved, but would have been perfectly good to sit inside too as it so beautifully designed and a chill welcoming atmosphere. Menu had lots of options and a Tex mex vibe to it. I will definitely be back to try more!

Really great and unique selections from end to end. The chicken tacos were my absolute favorite. The green pepper salsa was so different and delicious. The prosciutto sandwich was okay, not bad, but I probably wouldn't get it again. Service was very friendly and attentive.

A great spot off the Columbia Square, located at the Columbia Factory. The menu is what excited me on my search, and it met the expectations once I got here. The Prosciutto and Provolone sandwich (added bacon) has a smoky flavor with a sweet flavor from the blackberry jam, and a crunch from the apple slices and perfectly toasted bread. The blue haze chai is definitely a drink I will be coming back for, with their homemade chai flavor. The service is friendly and efficient. You can order drinks at the counter or sit for drinks and a meal. This spot offers outdoor seating, and indoor seating at a table, couch or the bar. Very cool and beautifully designed space.

On a rainy spring day, a friend and I dripped our way into August Sage by complete happenstance. The urgency of hunger was threatening to wreck the vibe of our day trip spent thrifting in Columbia, so one glimpse of August Sage Cafe's bread-centric menu had us hunting for seats with haste. I could've spent a concerning amount of time hemming and hawing over what to order, but my growling stomach and growing faintness necessitated decisiveness. With what strength I had left, I uttered four simple letters, "B.L.A.T." Those four simple letters lead to one of the most memorable sandwich occasions I've had the joy of experiencing. Perfectly balanced in both flavor and texture, August Sage BLT should give seminars on "How to B(e)L.T." Some people mess with the classics in a way that makes me feel like a certifiable Boomer. Like why are we deconstructing that, what is boba, black truffle say what? Thankfully, this BLT managed to honor the tried & true while also elevating it. Beside me, while giving her Croque Monsieur the fork and knife treatment, my friend stated, without an ounce of hyperbole, "This is the best bread I've ever had. All bread should be like this. This is the only kind of bread I want." What you must know about my dear friend is that she has spent years working in bakeries, with a particular flair for sourdough loaves. Oh, to be back at August Sage sinking my teeth into that bread right this moment... For now, I will have to settle for feasting on the memory, and insisting that you go and try it for yourself.

Very cozy and welcoming atmosphere! Food and drink was good. I'd come back when it wasn't a rush hour (Sunday lunch). Overall, it is a good place to hangout, have a drink, and enjoy the day.

Located in the "Factory at Columbia," August Sage has a lovely ambiance with huge windows that let in plenty of natural light. We tried a few things from the menu, starting with the Herb Butter Candle. When the candle's wick would go out due to the air conditioning, the server would promptly come over to relight it. The Croffle was a bit smaller than expected and served slightly cold, but it was still understandable since there's whipped sweet mascarpone on top. However, I did notice the raspberries had some odd, greenish-blue spots on them, so I skipped eating them (see photo). The smoked salmon and toast came with a generous portion of salmon, which I really appreciated. During our visit, we also ordered a Dirty Earl with Lavender, but it never arrived. After assuming it was forgotten, we were surprised to see it added to the bill. When we mentioned it, they took it off without an apology, which left a bit of a sour note on the experience.

Interesting menu. Service and food were good but portion size was disappointing for the price. We were still hungry.

All of our food was delicious. Ambiance was cozy and service was good. One of the best BL(A)T's I've ever had. Cortado was perfect.

Absolutely Outstanding Experience at Birdsong Social!…read more I had the pleasure of visiting Birdsong Social on a beautiful spring afternoon, and it was perfect from start to finish, as always. The Steakhouse Burger is hands-down one of the best I've had -- juicy, flavorful, and cooked exactly right. The fries were cooked to perfection: crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and absolutely addictive when dipped in their house ranch. That ranch is next-level -- tantalizingly delicious and packed with flavor! I also loved having the seasonal Mango Cart beer on tap. It was refreshing, crisp, and the perfect complement to the meal. What really made the visit special was the outstanding service. All of the staff were excellent, but Summer D and Abby went above and beyond, making me feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of while I relaxed out on the patio. Sitting outside on a perfect spring day, enjoying my meal with my favorite country music playing softly in the background... it doesn't get much better than that. Birdsong Social has it all -- great food, fantastic drinks, a wonderful atmosphere, and a team that truly cares. I'll definitely be back soon and often. Highly recommend!

My answer: "better than the nachos." Then I ask him: "how are the nachos ?" His reply: "not as good as my water". We then split a steakhouse burger. It was good - extremely messy, even if we hadn't split. The problems began around midnight - the fried onions almost killed us - my poor husband was still suffering the next day. We eat fried onions all of the time. No idea what made these guys so potent. The Pinot noir that I chose really was good. Service was ok - a lot of servers standing around talking to each other and to patrons sitting at the bar. The wait for our food was reasonable. If you are driving north on I-65, double check what exit you are going to get off - we followed Waze which took us off one exit too early. If it weren't so far out of our way, would we come back? Probably not.

The bartenders there are talented mixologists. Dave was so nice and helpful. He taught me a Pina Colada is supposed to be on the rocks. It was fabulous! Stopped by yesterday while driving around the middle TN area. Our server was the manager, which was…read moreimpressive for me that the manager would step in with a sudden influx of people. The place has indoor and outdoor seating. Overall, it feels more like a pizza joint, but since pizza is one of the big draws that is as expected. There is a small bar area, as well, and they have happy hour during the week. All is well here. Also have pac man and donky kong consoles near a private room on the patio side. Not sure that makes a difference, but it sure feels like pizza places in the 80s to me (showing my age?). I tried the "most popular pizza", the Pizza Maker's special. The pizza is very good. The crust is thin and made on premises. They use corn meal on the bottom which helps both with the crispiness and adding some texture (and a bit of flavor). And don't be afraid to try this even if you are unsure of some of the toppings (like "I don't like olives on pizza") as my friend, who is not a huge olive fan, tried it and was impressed. The flavors meld together and blend well and the cheese and crust add a great flavor base. If I had one complaint it would be the pizza is too rich (first world problems?). This means I could not eat it every day. NOTE: It was a great "cold pizza" breakfast item on the way to work church services at 6 AM. Pricing is not bad and I went ahead and paid $2 to go from 14" to 16" (because why not? Or it was breakfast?) The beer selection is okay (read my other reviews and you will see a trend?). There are some local beers, but if I owned the place I would work a different mix of brews than what is on at the moment. Lagers work well with pizza, especially one that is a bit sweeter; that is where I would go. Okay, nobody asked my opinion anyway and, even being a warm spring day, enjoyed the porter. Service was great and even saw the server with other tables was on top of things. They still have grits on the menu, ala Trueloves, but my understanding is the food has improved since those days. I give this a thumbs up for those wanting pizza in Columbia, Tennessee.
