Cowboy nachos
Sue F.

Great happy hour - half price apps. ANY app on the menu. We chose the cowboy nachos. The best way to describe them...husband asks: "how is your wine?" My answer: "better than the nachos." Then I ask him: "how are the nachos ?" His reply: "not as good as my water". We then split a steakhouse burger. It was good - extremely messy, even if we hadn't split. The problems began around midnight - the fried onions almost killed us - my poor husband was still suffering the next day. We eat fried onions all of the time. No idea what made these guys so potent. The Pinot noir that I chose really was good. Service was ok - a lot of servers standing around talking to each other and to patrons sitting at the bar. The wait for our food was reasonable. If you are driving north on I-65, double check what exit you are going to get off - we followed Waze which took us off one exit too early. If it weren't so far out of our way, would we come back? Probably not.

Had a great experience at Birdsong Social at Towhee Club in Spring Hill. The food was amazing, everything was fresh and full of flavor. The atmosphere is beautiful, and it's a great spot to relax, enjoy a meal, and take in the views of the golf course. The service was friendly and made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to.

Outdoor area includes what I think is bocce ball? This outdoor space will likely be a great hangout in the summertime!

Update: after 3 years, we have been 5+ times. It's always a fun spot to bring friends or family, obviously a beautiful setting. The menu, from brunch to dinner, offers a great variety and portion sizes are great. I've always loved the fried Brussels sprouts/Caesar salad, and their new Caesar wrap is a solid 8/10 as well. My only real complaint is that service is hit or miss. Last night (a Friday) we were not greeted by the servers at the stand, and it wasn't that busy. Our server would disappear for 20+ minutes at a time, and my husband went to the bar to get a soda refill. It just felt odd given the fact that the dining room was less than half full. We are Birdsong fans and will be back, but the customer service could be taken up a notch, especially for a nice meal.

Good wine glasses! (And yes that matters!) :)

The food and service are top tier. The ambiance and views are insane! Brooke is my FAV and Stephanie is awesome!

Pros: good location and off the beaten path. High ceilings, great lighting and views of the golf course and putting green. Cons: with the high ceilings, the restaurant is very loud. We sat next to a window at a 2-top and I could not even hear the person in front of me. Good luck finding a parking spot. Golfers share the lot and you may be parking on grass to get in. We presume our waitress was new. We asked for the dressing for our salad on the side and we were charged for it. We were still eating and the waitress came over and asked us if we wanted to go boxes and then asked us who gets the check. For something we had to make a reservation for a week in advance, I felt like the experience was rushed. It was a Mother's Day lunch and we didn't even get an option to look at the dessert menu or have coffee after. It wasn't even a busy time of day, so I'm unsure why we were pushed out.

Overall Birdsong was a good spot to grab dinner with friends or if you wanted to try something different on a date night. Food was good.. I'd definitely try the steak tips with the baked potato.. chicken finger plate was also delicious. Atmosphere is as also bright and inviting with tvs in the right spots if you want to catch a game. Service was spotty.. started off slow and then when our server switched during the shift things started coming out quickly. The other issue was the flies.. the flies were a problem until the waitress brought out some little fans to keep them away from the food.

The food was delicious. The service was great. The bright open dining area looking outside to the course and live music was awesome.

Atmosphere was good, food was good. I wish they would have heated up my gf bun. Other than that it was good, I'd try it again.

Just two of them on this visit. Secondly, unless you come here on a weekly basis, you won't get a hint of attention. Other reviews mention the same horrible service to anyone who doesn't visit this place regularly. You will be completely ignored. This evening the dining area was nearly empty yet we sat for 15 minutes before our drink order was taken. The mixed drinks are good, fear not. Then we sat for 35 minutes before we were able to attract the attention of a server, after several failed attempts. The board is good and hearty as is the spinach dip. The problem here lies in the subpar service, again and again and again. We really try to refrain from giving local establishments negative reviews, but the sheer lack of attention to anyone not hovering around the bar is ridiculous. At one point I walked to the bar to try to get the attention of our server and it still failed. They never checked on us. Never asked if we wanted a refill of water and didn't ask us if we wanted a second drink until we had to track down our bill. The final insult was the server asking my wife and I who were huddled up close on the same side of the table, if we wanted one check or two. Ugh.

The team clearly takes pride in the guest experience. That said, we were really looking forward to having a margarita, which made it surprising (and a bit disappointing) that no liquor was being served during our visit. There wasn't any explanation offered, which added to the confusion. It felt a little ironic given the name. Overall, it didn't ruin the experience, but it definitely stood out. We'd be open to going back and giving it another try--hopefully with margaritas on the table next time.

Most of the staff are native Spanish speakers, which adds to the real-deal experience. I love coming here with my mom for lunch or dinner. Our favorite server is Marín (pronounced mah-REEN). He always recognizes us right away and used to know our regular orders by heart--until we went back to eating KETO! It takes a little creativity, but it's definitely possible to eat healthy here. My go-to is the Chipotle Fajitas without tortillas, rice, or beans. They come out sizzling hot and loaded with flavor. I'll sometimes add a drizzle of their cheese sauce on top, and it's perfection. They recently updated the tabletops and the whole restaurant has a beautiful, authentic Mexican feel. The dining room is massive, making it ideal for large groups. I've seen them easily combine tables for parties of 15-20 people. They usually have upbeat Latin music playing, and on Friday and Saturday nights, there's live music. I'd be thrilled if they ever brought in a mariachi band! Best of all, they're open every day and stay open late. If you're craving great Mexican food, Tequila's is the place to go.
