Thankfully, they weren't too far away. When I arrived, the gentleman immediately welcomed me, pulled my van into the shop, and started diagnosing the issue. The customer service I received was exceptional, and I truly appreciate how helpful and accommodating they were. Impeccable communication. Answering texts at all hours of the day and night. Clean shop. Affordable pricing. No hard sell, just the honest facts. Timely service. I messaged on Sunday, got me in on Tuesday even though Monday was a holiday. Service was fast; all done in a day. I had a bad alternator that was working on/off. I initially cancelled the appointment when the alternator was working again. "No problem"; they didn't give me a hard time or anything. After checking yelp for locations in the area, I decided on the Aiea Lex Brodie's based on the many positive reviews. I made my appointment online. I had a little problem on the website as it kept looping me back to the main page but eventually I was able to set up an appointment. I liked the fact that you can either call or text them if you have any questions. They seem to be on top of communication with the customer, which is most appreciated. Besides the email appt reminders, there were emails for when the work was completed, and the inspection report, all in addition to the normal paperwork you get at the end of the inspection. My appointment was set for 10AM but I got there a half hour early, hoping I could get in sooner. My service advisor was a nice and friendly gal, JAnn E. She told me it would be about an hour and true to her word, it took about an hour. The waiting room is pretty spacious with lots of chairs all spread out so you're not sitting elbow to elbow with another customer. There's a TV, computer ports to plug in, restroom, coffee and water, and even a couple of massage recliners. Before I knew it, JAnn E let me know my car was ready and the best part, it passed! Overall, I had a great experience here, especially since it was my first time coming to a Lex Brodie's. They got the job done in minimum time with friendly and helpful customer service. Gordon is a first class mechanic and has helped to keep my cars in good running condition. He's an honest person and won't tell you to repair items that don't need to be repaired. Safety is a big concern and when he found a hole in the drum brake case, contacted me immediately to let me know it needs to be replaced before I drive the car again. I've always found his prices to be fair and it's nice to have a competent person working on my cars. He does high quality work and stands behind it. I called them up and they were able to take me the same day, got it done in a few hours and were able to use my own provided parts. The shop is extremely clean and the bay looks organized, seems they work on many different makes and models. After picking up my car they didn't install the O2 sensors because I didn't need it. The guy at the front went through what the cause was and gave me some tips on preventing it and they didn't even charge me! Car is running great so far. ​I had two separate claims done here, and while things seemed okay at first, the actual pickup and…read morefinal handling of my car turned into a complete mess. ​Their communication at the end was terrible. I got a text and a phone call explicitly saying my car was ready for pickup. Because they told me it was done, I went ahead and returned my rental car to Enterprise. When I showed up at the shop, my car wasn't ready. It was still being worked on, had plastic on top of it, and I could see employees actively making fixes to it. They told me I had to come back in 20 minutes. If I didn't have a ride with me, I would have been completely stranded because I already turned in my rental. It's incredibly unprofessional to tell a customer their vehicle is ready when workers are literally still at the car making adjustments. ​When I returned 20 mins later, the careless garage work only got worse from there. Right after I signed the paperwork and turned my car on to leave, my dashboard lit up with errors, locking my traction control and tire pressure safety lights on. When I immediately brought it up to their mechanic(I believe his name was Arnold), he told me that they had put air in my tires, that they were all good, and I can go drive off. He claimed my two tire sensors were just suddenly "faulty" and that I needed to go get them checked somewhere else, completely refusing to help me with the issue. ​Honda didn't have an immediate appointment available when I called them the same day I picked up the car, so I took the next closest one. Also on that same day, I checked my tire pressures myself and found that every single tire was overinflated by a massive 6 PSI over the factory limit. I had to let the extra air back out to the correct level myself, but the dashboard lights stayed locked on. I had to pay Honda $270 out of pocket just to have them manually reset the software and clear the code. ​To top it all off, when my insurance company called the shop to confirm what happened, the shop actually lied to them and claimed my dashboard lights were already on before they ever worked on the car. That is a flat-out lie to cover their own tracks, especially since their mechanic explicitly discussed the sensors and the air they added right at pickup. Thankfully, my insurance company saw through it, took my side, and reimbursed me for the dealer fee anyway. ​Pearlridge Fender & Body is disorganized with pickup times, their garage work is careless, they refuse to help when they mess up your vehicle, and they lie to insurance companies to avoid accountability. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

Long story short I got into an accident back in August and needed my car repaired, they looked my car over, gave us a quote, and billed our insurance but the communication was terrible, we had to go out of our way to call and ask for an update because they never seemed to have one for us. I was trying my hardest to be understanding that we live in Hawaii and it is hard to get parts but when you are sitting in the dark for months, with no solution in sight it gets frustrating. The accident happened in August, they billed my insurance in November, they only just took my car in February. The part that makes me sad is that it took us calling our insurance to file a complaint and magically the same day we received a call to drop off the car two days later. The only thing I am grateful for is that the car is fixed and the total amount of time I was truly out of a vehicle was two weeks.
