Hello Everyone,…read more My name is Miguel and I am currently a student at NBCC located @ 400 Ramona Ave. #213, they are in the 2 story building next to Hunny's and across Bakers Doughnuts. The reason for my review is because this is a new school, and WOW! They strive to get you to pass their tests, they motivate you, the new instructor is so amazing, and the school directors go out of their way to provide you snacks, refreshments, and they are very loving people, this is my 2nd week at this career college. The instructor is Ms. Dee, she motivates us and provides us with so much knowledge of becoming a cna, preparing us for the state exam, during theory she strives to make us successful and she teaches above and beyond, she is very kind and I am very fortunate to be in this school. We have a lunchroom and their are free snacks, water, coffee, doughnuts, etc.. for us to have during our break. This class is so cool and I am very confident that I will easily pass the state exam! They do guarantee you a job at a local nursing home and if you sign a contract to work for the nursing facility that you attend for clinicals, they have promised to reimburse you 1000-1500$ + all other benefits + your salary. I will be graduating from this program in December, New Beginnings is accredited by the State Board of Equalization and BBB, NNAAP. Oral Examination & Skills Evaluation.

My previous review and this final one, are just how impressed and happy I am, I now get CNA salary and I work double shifts and I already made back what I spent on tuition and my job reimbursed me 1000$ I reccomend this school to anyone whom is willing to make a difference in their life. Thank You NBCC!

I went here in June 2015 for my CNA certification. It was Monday through Thursday and it was just 4…read moreweeks. Not too bad. The first week was all theory. I didn't find this the least bit useful. It was just us students taking turns to read from a book. This I thought we could do ourselves. I would prefer we got a chapter to read and discuss it the next day or get tested on it. Other than that, I have no complaints. Andrea is courteous and likable and so is Ms. Julie. The good thing about becoming a CNA was that it would come in handy for nursing school. I'm in my 4th (4/5) semester at an RN program. Being a CNA gave my application a little boost since my program uses the point system. Don't waste your time taking a CNA course at a community college. You're wasting four months of your life on something you can do in 4 weeks. Sure you'll be saving a penny here and there by taking it at a community college but think of this: You have 3 extra months to make money as opposed to using them up training at a community college. Do yourself a favor. It's quick and easy and my experience as a CNA helps me work better with patients during my clinical rotations.

I took the CNA course at PTC in December and successfully passed my test last month. The days are…read morereally long but they were very flexible with my schedule and the quick 16 day course was what had me sold!! Andrea is amazing! She takes care of everything you can think of. She was very helpful and informative since day 1. The Directors of the school are very nice and even made us a home cooked lunch during one of our theory days. Our instructors were Danielle and Victor. They were a great team. Thanks to them our entire class passed the CNA test.

My husband and I learned so much in Hypnobabies with Angela. My husband loved it as well. Angela makes the class what it is though. As for Angela, my Doula, wow. We did so much work together in my monthly chats with her. It was like my own therapy session that I didn't know I needed. I did so much healing in the months I worked with her. She prepared my husband and I for birth so well. She has so much to offer! She doesn't leave anything unchecked. She will be your best advocate! She had a big hand in helping redeem all of my past birth experiences. I'll forever be grateful for Angela!

She supported me to overcome my fears about giving birth and trusting the medical staff. She provided a lot of information and resources. Although we had a c-section and Angela was not allowed to be physically in the OR, she prepared us well enough to go in with confidence that all would go well. I gave birth to a healthy baby boy this past January. It was a beautiful experience. If you cannot afford her doula services, I highly recommend her hypno birthing class. It prepared my fiance and I on the birthing process. Classes were via zoom which was great for us since we got to learn from the comfort of our home. I am grateful for this beautiful soul. She truly is living her life's purpose. Thank you Angela. If you are looking for a doula, she is it!

I end up feeling more confident with using the tools, with knowing how to avoid accidents. Dennis makes the class environment a comfortable and nice place to hang out. There's creative energy all about. I look forward to going each week and seeing what projects the other students are up to or chatting with him. He's not only a great instructor but also so easy and friendly to talk to! Dennis' enthusiasm for woodworking and old tools will quickly rub off on you. It's a great balance between a structured class curriculum and freedom to customize your projects. I've since discovered that going to the lumber yard and choosing woods feels a little like being a kid in a candy store. It's so much fun to do something hands on and design / build your own furniture. I highly recommend the Wood Work Shop to anyone looking up to pick up woodworking.

Great school. Teachers are very attentive to the kids and love that they listen to parents. I…read moremyself have had a couple of hiccups that were rectified promptly. My kids will probably stay here throughout High School. With armed security who is always around, it feels safe. My only issue is the inconsiderate parents. You know who you are. 1. Do Not Enter signs mean exactly that. 2. Cones are posted on the parking spots for a reason. 3. Stop blocking the sidewalk. You can call each other instead of pretending to be friends who haven't seen each other in years. 4. Its chaotic picking up kids, get your kid and go. Yes we know you are special, you have to have a discussion with the teacher. Make an appointment. 5. Slow down in the dirt lot. I honestly don't care that we are in a Christian School, you're gonna get cussed out. 6. Learn how to navigate a 4 way stop. End of rant. Go warriors.

The school wasn't what I expected. I enrolled my children there beginning in preschool, but…read moreeventually decided to withdraw two of them. My oldest daughter wanted to remain, so she still attends. In my experience, there aren't many negative reviews online because many families simply choose not to post them. Over the years, I've personally known several families who have left the school. I believe the school has potential, but the administration has LOTS of room for improvement. Concerns are often dismissed or not addressed in a timely or effective manner. If you're considering the school, I recommend asking about teacher retention. There seems to be frequent turnover, and some teachers appear to have limited experience. While there are certainly excellent teachers, many don't stay long enough to provide consistency for students. I'd also ask about class sizes and classroom management. Although the website has historically advertised smaller classes, our experience was closer to 22 students per class. Managing that many young children can be challenging, and there were times when classroom behavior made it difficult for students to focus and learn. Academically, I did not feel the education met my expectations for the tuition cost. I know several families who felt they needed to supplement learning at home to keep their children on track. If class sizes have increased, I believe the school's website should accurately reflect that so prospective families can make informed decisions. At over $11,000 per year per child, I expected a higher level of academic rigor, classroom support, and administrative responsiveness. One positive aspect is the school's commitment to Christian values. I especially appreciated the Wednesday chapel services and the emphasis on teaching the Bible.
