However, I place an order in the morning for a pickup time of 12:45. I live far north so it a little over an hour away drive from my home. Received a text at 11:30 that my food would be ready at 1:15. Got there at 1:05 and didn't get my food till 1:45. That's absolutely ridiculous. A lady asked what my name was at 1:15 and I informed her. She stated my food was ready and I should have received a text informing to come to the window. I informed no text has been received, she states well my food is ready. Get to the window to be told it's NOT ready it'll be another 8 mins. 8 mins turned into 30. When it was finally ready, there was no acknowledgment of the extra wait, nothing extra was offered, just a here's your food. Customer service is nonexistent. That's really sad because the food was really good. Hopefully this was just a bad day for them.

Simply Hailee, how we love thee…read more.. Displaced from restaurants by Covid and young children, my wife and I were losing our foodie status until we found Simply Hailee. Hailee has serious chops--professional training, Four Seasons experience, and as a private chef and caterer in Manhattan. We have ordered Hailee's doorstep delivery meals every week for a year and a half. Her French and Italian can hang with top, local restaurants. Fresh lamb, chicken, beef, salmon, cod. Her sauces and pasta are excellent. Her vegetables often steal the show. Her salad dressings--roasted balsamic tomato vinaigrette, caesar, ranch--are find-something-in-the-fridge-to-dip good. Soups are excellent--light yet flavorful. She also prepares greek, spanish, asian and mexican, all of which are excellent restaurant quality. And rarely is her cooking heavy. Its seasoned for flavor and properly prepared. If she makes salmon, you will taste salmon. If she makes brussels sprouts, you will taste brussels sprouts. Plus, its delivered to our door at the beginning of the week. No more dinner-planning. A high-quality dinner is served after heating in the microwave or toaster oven. Oh, and her quiches, her quiches! On our rare returns to restaurants, we often try a dish and say, "ya, it's good. But Hailee's is better."

Finding the right service was made even harder by the fact that I'm vegan (and my husband isn't). Simply Hailee fixed all of that. Doorstep Deliveries make meal time an absolute breeze. It's fresh and delicious, with no prep or cleanup (or agonizing over what's for dinner every night). I adore this business. Thank you Simply Hailee!

Since we had just gotten our kitchen remodeled, I thought it would be a great birthday idea to christen it with the perfect meal. Enter.. Chef Aundre of Heavenly Catering. I wanted someone who would be: 1 -fun 2 -interactive 3 -prepare a good meal 4 -understood my vision, and 5 -could work with young kids (since this would be a family affair). Chef Aundre hit on ALL of those. I reached out to him and 3 other in-home chefs through Yelp after reading their reviews. Chef Aundre was the only one that seemed to really get what I was trying to do. He had me complete a brief survey and then proposed a menu that was different from our usual, but still simple enough that we could make it any day. He arrived promptly and well-prepared. He brought all of the ingredients and made sure they were quality, natural and organic. He walked us through our menu and coached us along the way - showing us cutting techniques, cooking techniques and even plate presentation tips and tricks. At the end of the meal he engaged our 3 littles (ages 3, 6 and 8) to cook dessert. I was so impressed with how well he managed them and engaged with them. They made the perfect dessert with no spills or breaking anything! I will definitely use his services again and highly recommend him for your catering or in-home cooking needs.

The space was neat and clean. Carl took time to meet each guest as they entered, waited to place their order or as they were leaving; a head nod, handshake or hug extended to each one. It was everything promised - homemade, fresh and soulfully made!! Loved every bit. I will be back real soon.

Don't expect a white table cloth environment as this is more of a warehouse setup. Nothing fancy at all. The open concept room had many posters hanging touting Cedric as the Chef. Plus we noticed he had his own line of cookware for sale as well. We ordered at a small counter from and the menu was a scrolling menu on the wall. I ordered the fried catfish and shrimp basket. My wife got the fried chicken wings with yams and coleslaw. The catfish was a two piece full filets and was absolutely terrific and fried to perfection. Wonderful moisture on the inside and nice and crunchy on the outside. The fried shrimp was a very different matter. They were medium sized and fried way too long. They were curled very hard and dry with zero softness and or moisture. Medium shrimp should be fried no longer than 2 minutes. These had to be at 3 - 3 1/2 minutes. Flavor was good on the catfish as well as the shrimp. The tartar sauce was impressive. Homemade. No doubt about it. No cocktail sauce was given but tabasco was. The chicken wings were meaty, flavorful and fried to perfection. You will not be disappointed. The yams were literally the best we ever had at a restaurant. The coleslaw was ok. I like mine a little sweeter but I will say that this coleslaw was a good start to getting even better with experimentation. If your near Red Oak stop in and enjoy. It is definitely worth it.
