Decent place, decent food. If you're looking for just a burger/fries or ground steak plate/sandwich it's a good place. Staff tends to be friendly. I worked here way back in high school and the peach cobbler was always a favorite. read more

Went to Aunt Bee's for breakfast today. Worst excuse for a breakfast place I have ever seen. My egg (over medium) was OK, but my wife's scrambled eggs weren't acceptable. The grits were pitiful! They were coarse grain and not cooked long enough so they were very watery. The toast was served dry with little containers of margarine on the side. We were only given two tiny containers for our whole order. The coffee was weak and tasteless. I am a southerner now living in Ohio, and I have had much better "southern" breakfasts in the north. I can only say that I hope the real "Aunt Bee" cooked better than this version! We won't ever be tempted to return to this restaurant. read more

Giving 3 stars ONLY because the biscuits and gravy were great. The counter staff were nice and the food came out quick . The country ham had an odd flavor to it; it looked normal but it had a weird taste. I know it's supposed to very salty but there was something "gamey" about it. I got the BBQ plate. BBQ, cole slaw, fries, hush puppies. The BBQ was awful. It didn't really resemble bbq. I honestly think it was a canned bbq. I tried the bbq sauce that was on the table. I admit, I prefer a vinegar based sauce. But this sauce tasted like it was 9 parts vinegar and 1 part other. Fries were ordinary. Crinkle cut frozen variety, I didn't care for the hush puppies. I broke the #1 yelp code by not reading the previous reviews before entering this establishment. Being that it was "Mayberry" and a restaurant named after Aunt Bea, we decided to give this place a try. We noticed a drive-thru window upon arrival, which immediately brought our hopes for a good meal down. Had I known this was a fast food joint, I would have definitely gone with one of the cities guides recommendations to visit Goober's, which was literally right next door. The quality of the food is what makes it overpriced. Had I received collard greens with some actual depth in flavor, I wouldn't mind paying almost two dollars for it. The mac and cheese was equally disappointing. While the barbecue has decent flavor, $3.99 for their "large" portion is a bit of a stretch. The bacon cheeseburger is priced at nearly $5, which is a bit outrageous for what you get. That being said, I wouldn't waste your time or money at Aunt Bea's. There are plenty of other options throughout the city that I would hope could surpass the quality of this restaurant. read more

Delicious food, clean restaurant, friendly employees and reasonable prices. Great Lexington-Style BBQ with all the trimmings. Hush puppies, bbq slaw (personal favorite) or regular coleslaw. If you're not much of a BBQ eater, try one of the many varieties of sandwiches that they offer. Another big plus to satisfy the entire family is that they offer a full menu of breakfast items all day. We have never been disappointed in anything we've had. We stopped last week while we were visiting the area. The prices are very cheap and they have a great variety. Three of us ate for only $13.13. We all enjoyed our food. The price for what you get is more than fair. If your a picky eater or looking for a top notch restaurant then this place is not for you.
