Biscuit are extremely soft and moist. Grandmas breakfast - side order of country fries ! Delicious fresh home fries packed with flavour. Our other side dish was breakfast French toast which was thought was mediocre but they at least gave us lots of maple syrup :D ! The last side dish was the sausage. That was also really good, doesn't like the frozen ones with preservatives but rather really fresh! For dessert we ordered rhubarb crisp! Must try! Delicious sweet and hit home for us! We got the carrot cake to go because we were impressed with their food and especially their baked good! We tried it when I got home although we were already full and definitely was not disappointed! It's old fashioned and has a mom and pop feel. Definitely can get busy on weekends so keep that in mind. Breakfast for 2 is around $30-$40, depending on what you order. I usually get an omelette and lately have been really into the Hawaiian one. I never thought to put pineapple into an omelette but somehow it works well with the ham and mozzarella cheese. (I'm also a Hawaiian pizza girlie so that's likely why, and yes, pineapple belongs on pizza!) They also do a great club sandwich and some decent Greek food too. Bacon is always cooked perfectly here and the silver dollar homefries are amazing. Service is friendly, coffee is hot and constantly refilled and the food is quick and delicious. Washrooms are clean. There's also a little book station at the front where you can leave/take a book and they have lots of children's books too if they need some entertaining before the food arrives.

What a gem to have this contemporary, warm, inviting gathering place. In the hour we spent relaxing and reading, we saw a group of bicycle riders from Owen Sound, several families, several single people, and two groups of 5+ seniors come in for lunch and coffee. How wonderful that the community finds Amici's a place to gather, relax and hang out. We did too. My husband and I had very tasty, perfectly prepared, beautiful mochas served piping hot in spacious mugs. Such a joy on an early fall day. We couldn't resist trying trying a sweet treat, which they said are partly prepared in-house with some arriving frozen and they bake. Both or chocolate croissant and apple turnover were great. The music was pleasant and not overpowering. The dining area looks new, very clean with comfortable seating choices. Stop by and stay a while. Your day will be better for the experience.
