A little place worth finding in Pewaukee. First time diners, we tried a bit of many dishes, and…read morecan absolutely say this is traditional German food. The owner, Mat is doing his Oma and mom (Bo) proud, and I bet this place is especially in the summer when the food is not the same old options up and down the Pewaukee shoreline. With outdoor service and seating in warmer weather, and now a cute little indoor dining room, I am glad I took the time to stop for dinner. We tried the chicken and pork schnitzel, both bunless; the Curry Wurst; Pretzel bites; Spätzle; Oma's Potato Salad; and Sprecher's Root Beer, of course. However, beer is also on the menu, along with other options. The menu is not huge, but if you like or want to try true German dishes, stop in. The pricing is fair, and the owner is very nice. They use the all-natural Wisconsin Gold Tallow for cooking, and I just learned about it and how it makes dishes so tasty. And it is even great for facials!

I had several pork schnitzels with mushroom sauce and spatzel. Excellent taste and proportions. I enjoyed it immensely. They had some excellent German beer choice and I went with a Hefeweizen. Finally, the ambiance was quaint and very clean. Overall excellent experience and I'd highly recommend a visit.

The $25 half chicken was overcooked and dry, and since last year the $30 pork wasn't so good we didn't even try it. However, the entertainment was nice and overall very enjoyable.

It's been a long time since I've been to this Oktoberfest. Finally made a return over the weekend…read moreand totally forgot what a big, electric crowd it brings! Parking was a wild time, as they were directing people to an entirely different lot down the way, so it was a bit of hike to get to the entrance. Once we parked, we waited in like for 10 minutes or to get through the gates. I was tipped off the downland the Bavarian's app ahead of time, which got me $5 off my entry (and it was free from my little kiddo in tow). If you're looking for all the great German beer, German music, and German cuisine, this is your place! It's so fun to see how many attendees dress to theme in their lederhosens, dirndls, and hats. Some of the staff dress up as well, and of course those preforming on stage! We came to find out this isn't the greatest fest to take young kids, as the crowds are big, the lines are long, and the music (be it so fun and festive), is really loud. I'm sure we would have stayed longer if it was an adult-only trip. In any case, the food and drink are fare price. I'm now regretting not ordering the traditional pretzel and sausage options, but splitting a tasty platter of tenders and fries with my son hit the spot. Being pregnant, I'm not drinking, but friends we were with has nothing but great things to say about their German pints. The beer steins are of course an option which is a fun touch. Hot tip: if you can book a table reservation ahead of time, do so! That's what we did and it was a good call since this place is poppin. Happy official Fall! Enjoy!

This time I had the KRK Burger with fries and onion rings along with two scoops of Cookies & Cream custard in a waffle cone. Everything was delicious. I also love their rotating Flavor of the Day custard options, and they even post a three day forecast so you can plan ahead. Overall, Kopp's is a great spot for both food and dessert. I noticed around 8:30 that many people were receiving their orders before I got mine. At 8:33PM, I asked a girl at the counter to check on my order and she rolled her eyes and asked another girl to check on it. The other girl asked to see my receipt and she found my order in a paper bag on the counter and it was forgotten about (I did not ask for a bag and I said I didn't need lids when I ordered). I received the order and when I opened it, they didn't give me spoons. I asked for spoons and the girl seemed annoyed. No apology for the mix up or anything. Also, I went to use the bathroom and it was disgusting. Very dirty, see the video. The icecream tasted great though.
