The only good thing besides the one Artisan European style dinner roll was the authentic Dosseldorf mustard. Entree I ordered was 1 Beef sausage and a Pork sausage. Both called a different name in German. I ordered Germain potatoes and Red Cabbage. My beef sausage was way over cooked my pork sausage was fine and I guess they were of average flavor. The German potatoes were flavorless and no where close to German. My redcabbage was good. I ordered Mushroom gravy on my sausages. If done right that gravy is very good. However, they made this gravy with canned mushrooms and instant brown gravy mix and was pretty much flavorless. My dinner came with a dinner roll. They placed it on my dinner plate in the gravy. Couldn't pick it up without getting gravy on my hand. My date ordered a Weinerschnizel. It was good but very over cooked they gave my red Cabbage to her. She didn't order it but it was big enough to share. She ordered Pommfrietes (seasoned French fries not really authentic Pommfrietes. They were not so great. Server was over worked as they were busy. We had to get up with drink glasses and go chase down water refills. They kept the glasses and about a minute later the waiter walk by with our water glasses and gave them to two other people at a different table. I bought him on the way back by our table and said excuse me but you just gave our water to that table up front. He said oh yes, I did. I suggested he retrieve the 2 glasses of water before they drank out of them. He did do that. Brought them. Back to our table without us knowing if they drank out of our glasses. It was not fresh, it was not authentic and it resembled German foods by was a bad representation. I won't be back. Restaurant was clean no low dinner music. Ambiance was lacking. Waiter was a nice young man but either timid or thought he should not talk loud enough he wouldn't disturb other customers by talking to us. Oh and instead of putting our butter on a small plate or dish. They put it on my dinner plate in the gravy. This place was definitely not a class place. Not that it had to be. However, for their moderately priced menu. It needed to have more class than this restaurant showed.

Well it has been quite a while since we have been here. So as we were doing a family drive around…read morewe decided to stop and get some drinks and grub at Fassler Hall. We sat outside because our dog, our baby. They gave her a huge bowl of ice cold water which she hailed as wonderful! It hit the spot where it cooled her down. We ordered the famous pretzel and it never fails. Sooooo good with the beer cheese and house mustard. A definitely repeat every time because of its freshness and soft pinch-able bread to dip in. We also ordered a basic plain hotdog for our dog. Hotdogs are her favorite. For drinks we ordered the German Tart and Mango twist. The tart was just that nothing overpowering but you could really tingle the taste buds with the "bear trap" (German translation) honey liqueur. The mango drink was yummy tropical flavored. Sadly since we were outside the drink got watered down quickly and became a drink just to wet the mouth. We decided to order the hunter sausage and brunch serving burrito. It was huge in size and fully packed. It was tasty but the sausage was a touch too spicy and made my wife's sinuses kick off. As for the hunter sausage i was disappointed in it. First it came in a bun but that wasn't mentioned on the menu. Then the mixture of venison, buffalo and pork sounds good on paper but not in reality. The mixture ended up muting all the favors to where it was pretty bland and required dipping in the house mustard. Because of that I was still hungry and ordered the sample platter with the lamb, hatch chili and chedderwurst. My mouth became immediately happy again with each having a robust flavor. I highly recommend the sampler to determine what you like so in the future you can get a flavorful sausage that meets your tongue pallet. My favorite was the hatch chili. It had some heat but not overpowering so my mouth could taste it and more. Then I liked the lamb as, let us face it lamb is just a good lean meat. The cheddarwurst was also good but not that adventurous. Our dog loved the treatment she received and the yummy food. She is a food critic in her own right! The atmosphere was simple, pleasant and not so loud you couldn't talk.Overall a good experience with good food and dog friendly!!A great place to come for rooting on the Thunder.

The bread was fresh, the salad with pickled cucumbers and green beans was refreshing. My schnitzel plate was hot and crispy, and I couldn't decide on just one side so I got two- the German potato salad and red cabbage. I loved both. Kind of wish I would've added the sauerkraut too though. Lorenzo got the sampler plate with a little of everything, and I heard zero complaints from him. He even loved the homemade curry ketchup. But I think his favorite was the giant mug of German Dunkel he got to drink. The girls loved their kid schnitzel plate too. We could t leave without dessert, so we grabbed a lemon streusel cake to go. The best part was the atmosphere and staff though. The longer we sat, the more restless the kids got. The staff told us they had a kid's section with toys and a play tent that the girls were welcome to. They went from bouncing off the walls to not wanting to leave. I can't believe it took me so long to try Mutti's, but now I can't wait to come back!

The sauerkraut was especially good, tangy and perfectly balanced. But what truly stole the show was something simple and unexpected: their vinegar salad. Canned green beans, fresh cucumber, and shredded lettuce soaking up the most incredible, clean, old-world vinegar dressing. It was humble, honest food done exceptionally well, the kind of dish that sticks with you long after the meal is over. You can tell this is food made with care and tradition. If you want real German comfort food, Mutti's is a must-visit. I'll absolutely be back.
