Just the right amount of spice without going overboard. The iced coffee was smooth, not bitter at all, and honestly a great pairing if you're not in the mood for booze. To start, we shared the Dill Pickle Pimento Cheese with ripple-cut fries. I'm a sucker for pimento cheese and this one was outstanding. The dill relish gave it a tangy, fresh twist that worked so well with the creamy cheese. Scoop it up with those crispy ripple fries and you're golden. It's a shareable appetizer, but honestly, I'd come back just for that. For my lunch, I had the Chicken Caesar Pita. This isn't your average Caesar wrap. It was tasty, I wasn't expecting the chicken to be pulled, but it was pull juicy, marinated chicken, tons of Tuscan kale for a hearty bite, and generous shavings of parmesan. The charred Caesar dressing brought it all together with that smoky, savory flavor. The pita bread held everything nicely without getting soggy, and the portion was just right: filling, but not overwhelming. Service was super friendly and paced perfectly, not rushed, but never left waiting. Menu options looked creative and inclusive, with plenty for vegetarians and craft beer lovers, too. After dinner I cut one each of the pastries in quarters to share. The lemon had a very slight taste of lemon (very very slight), and although the blueberry appears to be packed with fruit, it only tasted like soggy dough. (See pic). My last shot was the macaroon. I gave one to my daughter to split with me. She barely split it. The filling was like the mixed it with marshmallows. It stretched while the cookie crushed, and also did not taste good at all. We started the night off by grabbing a couple of drinks, and they actually just recently starting serving cocktails, which was a big plus for my wife. Of course, they also had a bunch of different beers on draft, which was more my speed. After getting our drinks, we wandered into the next room and were delighted to see a ping pong table waiting for us :) They also had cornhole and a big TV showing the Hurricanes game. There wasn't a huge crowd for the karaoke, but the host was cool and the song selection was pretty large. I was also happy that the karaoke started at an earlier hour (7 PM) than most places. Starting karaoke at 10 PM is kind of brutal when you have kids :) One random aside is that the water fountain near the bathrooms was extremely powerful, so it was honestly a little hard to use. That sounds kind of ridiculous, but it was seriously firing halfway across the room. Overall, we'd definitely come back!

My husband RAVES about their Smoked Brisket Burger. I would also argue that their Truffle Deviled Eggs are the best thing on the menu when they have them. They have great cocktails and a large beer selection. The only difficult thing about eating here is having limited space in my stomach because everything is seriously so good.
