Friendly service but it was very slow even when not busy. It took 15 minutes to get my order so I had to take it to go. Not exactly fast food. The food itself was good. It's pricey but good quality and large portions. The sliders are huge. Don't mistake them for being small. Plenty of parking in a shared lot by the garage. Tables are easy to maneuver around with an assistive device. Would come back. I have 4 stars because it took a long time. I suppose good food takes time but it also takes the fast out of fast food to wait 15 + minutes for a small order. I'll be better prepared next time. I also deducted because the bathrooms were nasty and there was no toilet paper in the stall. It says to flush twice and it's apparent people didnt because the toilet was stopped up and I couldn't get myself to use it. Then finding no toilet paper was enough to make me skip it all together. I would definitely make it a littler easier with the pick up. First off we couldn't hear what number they called and some of us older folk can't remember numbers. I had to get my receipt to confirm the number because I couldn't remember if it was 5 or 6 or what. Then the order came and looked nothing like I expected and I had to check again to make sure I had the right number. So I decided to try the Dave's Hot mozz stick and it was pretty good not going to lie! It's right up there with chilis! I got the medium heat and it was just enough of a kick. I also ordered a Dave's number 3 which comes with a tender, slider and fries. I got the hot for those and they were great! Fresh, crunchy with a good spice and that Dave's sauce is really good! The kale slaw they use is great on the sandwich as well! Dumbs the hotness down a bit but gives it a good extra flavor. It did take a bit to get my food which I feel like most Dave's take a bit to make the food especially at 2pm. I think it did cost like 25 dollars which is kinda crazy they charge like 8 dollars for that mozz stick sandwich. I will obviously be back I love Dave's it's right up my alley! read more

Bring me the heat! There's something about that inital cold burst of weather that gets me in the mood for spice. So around 8:30 pm, I drove 20 minutes to get some hot chicken. First, props on the music. Old school 50s and 60s rock and roll. There was a line of 5 or 6 people, even late on a Wednesday. I ordered 2 sliders (medium and hot) with fries. I was going to get charged for the drink, but the cashier took it off. I mean if you're getting hot chicken, it should be illegal to not include a drink in the combo meal. The sliders were excellent. Quality roll, crunchy kale slaw, a little bit of comeback style sauce, lots of dill pickle slices. But more than that, the chicken had a crunchy coating, juicy meat, and a great level of heat. The food was pretty good, although the chicken fingers were fried a bit too hard. Still they were juicy inside and well cooked. The milkshake was ok too. The service was excellent and I hope it continued as this place matures. This place is a stone's throw from Guthrie's across the street. For those like me who did not know: Nashville hot chicken = spicy dry rub. Now, onto the review. I was craving a fried chicken sandwich and wanted to check out the new spot that replaced BB's. We went in and it didn't seem too crowded. The staff were very polite. Despite what seemed to be a pretty slow night, it took about 15-20 minutes to get our food. I'll admit, it did taste hot and fresh so that could have contributed to the time. (But definitely consider the wait if you come hungry like I did.) I did not know Nashville hot chicken was a dry rub - they let you choose your level of spice when you order - so this was a new experience for me. The chicken tenders are large. I got the chicken tender sandwich with a low mild spice level (I wasn't feeling spicy), and I felt it was sufficiently spicy for me and I'm a girl that loves spicy food. The fries were crinkle and very deliciously crispy. I'm also a big fan of the Dave's sauce they give you. In total, we spent $26/$27 for two sandwiches, one chicken tender, an order of fries, and a small fountain drink. Dave's is trying so very hard to be....I don't know what, but they're trying. The basic chicken itself is good. It's thick, juicy, well cooked, and the portion size is much larger than I expected. Everything else is distinctly meh. The spice blend is overly heavy on the cumin and on my first bite I had a coughing fit from inhaling the spice dust. After a few bites the flavor becomes tedious. There's nothing happening aside from heat. Given that the fries (entirely generic) are dusted with the same seasoning the whole meal is one-note with no relief. The kale slaw - part of the "trying too hard" theme, what does kale add here?- is unnoticeable under the chicken seasoning. The service is quick, efficient, and polite and there's plenty of parking available. The ambiance is also trying too hard to be hipster. High volume music, high ceilings so that the noise reverberates, exposed ductwork, and graffiti-like wall art. Okay, sure. My partner's favorite part of the experience was their chicken logo. I think it just looks like an avian s*x doll. If I were to return I would probably order the chicken, no spice, add buffalo sauce, and see if they'd do the fries with no seasoning. read more

It was probably more workers than customers. I ordered the 4 piece chicken sliders with hot as my spice level and subbed out the fries and got Mac n cheese. My total came to about $11. 59. My only two complaints was the amount of noise from the kitchen staff doing huddles while trying to order and wishing the size of the sliders were a bit bigger. They honestly remind me of the chick n mini's from chick fil a. The spice level of hot wasn't that hot to me ,so I'll take it up a notch it's 7 spice levels btw. The food is great. Quality ingredients. Personally it's become a bit of a go to when I'm in that area of town. If you've not been there before don't avoid it if you don't like to eat spicy foods. You can pick the spice level you want. I've learned the medium is right for me. Has some heat and flavor but I don't regret it later Want hot as hell? Sure they have that too. I once saw a teenager that clearly wanted to impress his friends. He was not prepared for the heat. The Restaurant is nice, I've newer had a problem getting a seat. When the weather is nice they have a few outdoor tables. I like to get fresh air, but the other benefit is you can avoid the music. I get they want some energy... but it's a really strange mix of music. And I mean like Johnny cash one moment, George Michal the next. In the time you eat a sandwich you likely will hear at least one song that you will want to stuff fries in your ears. But the food is good... so I keep going back. One item of criticism - my spouse prefers water with her meal. They will give you a cup but it's tiny - not shot glass tiny but it's small. Service is fine... just know it's slow. I don't know why orders take as long as they do. We've started to order on the app when we get there and just do it as pickup. The food seems to be made at order which is probably part of why it's good. Placing an order while in route is probably a good idea. They are careful to check the order - I did not catch her name but one of the workers there does not play when it comes to making sure your order is right. Value for the money this place is solid. I really enjoyed lunch at Dave's Hot Chicken. I took my daughter to lunch this afternoon and we arrived after 330. Parking was effortless and we scored a spot near the entrance ! Upon arrival there were no lines. The Staff member who greeted us was courteous and helpful. We decided on the Single Tender Slider with fries meal. The #4. My daughter ordered Mild and I ordered medium. Food arrived hot and fresh ! We really enjoyed the flavor the chicken packed and how juicy it was. My daughter is not a fan of pickles, but she thoroughly enjoyed the pickles here ! The sauce was delicious and I enjoyed dipping my hot seasoned fries into it. The fries were hot and delicious! The bathrooms were very clean ! I enjoyed this new location and all the new businesses popping up in Raleigh. My daughter really enjoyed her meal. I definitely plan to return while we are in the Six Forks/ Wake Forest Rd area. I also loved the design of this restaurant. The cute graffiti art was refreshing to see. read more

Great service but where is my chicken?? Haha waited half a hour for a 2 slider meal and one of the sliders just had pickles and coleslaw on it they never even put chicken on it. It was super busy and I know it's a new opening here in NC. Disappointing to only have one chicken finger on one slider when I got the two slider meal. Ps I got two of the orders and one of them had both chickens on there but the one I ate had just one. Check your food before leaving.
