So this sweet & savory shop can feed you or settle your craving. The typical sweet coatings are attractive but the savory... hard to beat an Italian, a steak & cheese or maybe even a back & cheese stuffed pretzel. The bites are sized for a very large mouth, let's just call them two large bites. If being afraid they won't be hot if you take them to go, don't worry, I had a 30 minute ride and everything was still piping hot. Will I be back? Yes, there's more to try.

If I could eat here everyday I would, the inside is like barn style with the tables very clean and organized. Customer service is good they have the option to self serve which is good when it gets a bit busy at the cashier line. Food 10/10

How good is this place? We arrived there at a few minutes before they opened on a Saturday morning and when they opened the door there was already a line to order. The gal at the register said we could order from her or use the tablet, which we did because didn't know the menu and that let others who knew what they wanted to order. So we ended up ordering a plain, a jalapeno popper, pepperoni and a pretzel dog. Everything was delicious! Getting a warm, freshly baked pretzel on a cold rainy day was the best solution to the winter blues! We took ours to go, but started in on the plain pretzel as we pulled out! Hard to resist all that baked goodness after watching them fix our pretzels! Pro tip: check out the drink cooler, they have a really good selection of sodas, and they're relatively cheap ($3 for a craft soda like Boylan). Their cans are Pepsi products and a pretty plain selection of those compared to their selection of bottled beverages. The folks behind the counter are extremely friendly and it's fun to watch the pretzels being made while waiting.

A lot of bottled sodas. This is just the start

I showed up on a Wednesday at 12:45 and there were maybe 7 or 8 people waiting on their pretzel orders. They do take 10-15 minutes to prepare, which you can't be upset with because it shows they are making each pretzel to order. For my order, I got the cheesesteak, which had ribeye and white American cheese stuffed in the bottom of the pretzel. You have to eat it slowly because so much steam comes out when you initially bite into the section with the filling. The pretzel is super crispy, which is essential for any soft pretzel. It had a decent dusting of salt on it. I'm not a big salt fan, so I dusted most of it off. I liked it, though I would probably get a different one next time. The cinnamon pretzel was insanely good. Crunchy, intense brown sugar flavor, everything you would want. Over the top decadent. When I get it again, I'll get some of the icing for dipping. And that pretzel was only about 3 bucks! There are no fountain drinks, but they have a wide variety of bottled stuffs and boxed water for purchase.

I cannot say enough good things about Crofton's pretzels! They are so delicious and freshly made to order. Just know that if you get one of the normal pretzels, those are premade but if you get one of the stuffed pretzels, those are fresh. One pretzel is pretty large. I shared it with a friend. I definitely want to come back and try the sweet pretzels, but the spinach artichoke dip was delicious. It's very warm and perfectly melty and you can open the bottom part of the pretzel to create a little canoe for the dip and then dip the top part of the pretzel in!

We were in downtown raleigh and decided to finally stop by and try this spot. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed! We were able to order at a kiosk and got our pretzel in about 15-20 mins. We ordered the pimento & bacon pretzel and it was HUGE!! It was filled with so much pimento and bacon and it came out hot and fresh. It was absolutely delicious! The pretzel was $8. They had lots of different options of pretzels. There were 3 large picnic tables inside for seating. Cant wait to come back here again

Crofton's pretzels in Raleigh are delicious! They are very large and have many flavor and filling options, and are reasonably priced. The parking out front is limited however there is parking alongside the street in the residential area nearby. There is limited indoor seating. The peak times can be pretty busy but the line moves pretty quickly. They will call your name when your pretzel is ready. I'm so glad they opened a Raleigh location!

Crofton's Pretzels in Raleigh opened on Saturday, 10/4, to a line out the door. My partner and I came later in the day - around 2:30/3, and they still had tons of people eager for their pretzels. I want to give a big shout out to the crew who were working so hard. There was only about 5 of them and they were motoring through orders. My partner and I got one salted pretzel and two chili dogs. All for less than $15. The chili dogs were very good - they were wrapped up in the pretzel bun, and I absolutely loved the quality of the pretzel bun for these hot dogs. There were also stuffed pretzels (savory and sweet) to choose from, which we plan to try next time. We had the salted pretzel a little later since our pretzel dogs were so filling and it was incredibly fresh and salty. The Crofton's Pretzels space itself has indoor and outdoor picnic tables, fridges for bottled/canned drinks, and shares a parking lot with other businesses. The parking was a little difficult just because of the size of the parking lot and the amount of people, so a lot of people were parking on the residential side street. I definitely plan to come back for more pretzels!

A few picnic tables for indoor seating. Arcade games.

This place is a gem!! The pretzels are amazing, and they are priced perfectly. I highly recommend the pretzel dog, the cheesesteak pretzel and the Nutella pretzel. I can personally attest to those three...but I'm sure everything here is great

This place is amazing!!! Great service, laid back atmosphere and delicious pretzels. The stuffed pretzel was delicious, made to order and so tasty. The cinnamon sugar pretzel was premade in a warmer, but still good. If it was fresh, made to order like the stuffed pretzels that would be game changing!

The stuffed pretzel was just ok. There was some uncooked dough in the middle, and barely warm filling, but the pretzel itself was pretty good. Will most likely only return if I am nearby, craving a pretzel. I did appreciate the affordable pricing.

It was amazing! This place has made to order stuffed pretzels. The filling is flavorful and the pretzels was light and chewy. It was everything you wanted in a pretzel. My favorites were the chicken pesto and Nutella. Only thing better than the pretzels were the staff. Since it was my first time there I had a bunch of questions and they were super polite and patient. They even made some recommendations. 10/10 I'll be going there again.

Went here about an hour before closing on a Saturday and there was plenty of people waiting. Despite that we were able to walk right in and order one of each of their traditional pretzels (salted, unsalted and cinnamon sugar- also ordered a cup of cheese) without waiting. If you order a stuffed pretzel be prepared for it to be baked fresh. All 3 pretzels we had were very good and under $10. I do wish they had a better parking lot or location. Not very pop in friendly.

I'm always on the hunt for a good savory pastry so I got the ham and cheese croissant and it did not disappoint. Pro tip - take your pastries from the busy farmers market across the street to Dorothea Dix Park to birdwatch and overlook the city skyline! I was slightly shocked that 2 pastries were $20 - that's the only reason it's four instead of five stars!

These were the only items in their selection that had a price, $4, so I got two togo. The lemon bars and blueberry bars looked delicious, so I got two each for after dinner. We got 50 little neck clams, and needed some bread. Their sourdough looked good, so I got a loaf. The sourdough that we bought was literally the most dense bread I have ever eaten. Even soaking it in clam broth did not help. Tried an un-soaked piece, and it was like eating tough jerky. The dogs didn't even want it. After dinner I cut one each of the pastries in quarters to share. The lemon had a very slight taste of lemon (very very slight), and although the blueberry appears to be packed with fruit, it only tasted like soggy dough. (See pic). My last shot was the macaroon. I gave one to my daughter to split with me. She barely split it. The filling was like the mixed it with marshmallows. It stretched while the cookie crushed, and also did not taste good at all. I would like to think they got a new pastry chef that is learning, but sorry, at 42 bucks for that amount of food that was all bad, I'm not going to be another guinea pig. Oh, no one wanted the other lemon or blueberry bar, so sadly I threw them out.
