Yes, you did lower the price after seeing that my system only had two sprinklers. But then you charged me double that amount to replace those same two sprinklers heads and screw in two new ones. You're calling that "emergency repairs"? Again, you told me it was required for compliance -- which is misleading. As I tried to explain to you over the phone, my insurance requirements state that a qualified individual or company must inspect the automatic sprinkler system at least annually, and in accordance with local Fire Marshal requirements, to ensure the integrity of the system. That's it -- no mention of spare parts or emergency repairs for a two-sprinkler system. From what I understand, San Francisco follows NFPA 13 and NFPA 25, which require a spare sprinkler head box only when a system has more than 20 or up to 300 heads, depending on the standard. For systems under 300 heads, the requirement is typically a minimum of six spare heads -- and none of that applies to a system with just two sprinklers. I'm really disappointed that you tried to spin it this way and push unnecessary charges by misrepresenting what's actually required. read more

I wasn't sure what is included in most fire inspections, but Aura was much more thorough than our precious inspectors. They asked more questions to make sure they did not overlook anything. I've had the same experience as Tattle tale Today they come out to clean our hoods in kitchen and fire extinguishers. Please be in mind that is raining and how they are going to get on roof to clean hoods? The owner said he would change the tags so I could be up to "code" but not actually change the extinguishers. After doing research for days, I called Vlade based on his overwhelmingly positive reviews. He was able to fit us in quickly and his office staff was very efficient producing a written estimate for replacing the alarm system with a SF code compliant one, upgrading the sprinklers, and providing the code required monitoring. I did not feel that Vlade tried to up-sell us on anything we didn't need, and in fact he really tried to save us money. The plans he prepared were professionally done and moved efficiently through the building department so he could start work. The staff tied themselves in knots to work in with our renovation schedule and were extremely patient with our work delays that held them up completing the job. Man, I just used these guys for a fire sprinkler project, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I'm moving into an old building and found the existing sprinklers weren't up to code just 4 weeks before the move-in date.
