The gentleman with no name tag conveniently lacked tremendously in customer service. We are AMC Stubs members and were next in line to pay cash, (normally we order all online) just had to get an extra ticket and some popcorn; and he allowed line cuts. Even when it was brought to his attention and obvious by everyone that we were clearly next. This is out of character for this location, as a whole we receive good service. I hope by leaving this review that this will not happen again to any patrons. If it doesn't get resolved I will contact higher up the chain.

Both the Starplex and the Century 16 offer pretty much the same movies, same ridiculously expensive concession, and comfy seats. The Starplex's tickets are cheaper. There tends to be a bit of a...ghetto atmosphere here---kids left uncontrolled, adults texting, talking and general rudeness. No one seems capable of taking their trash with them as well. The facility, despite all this, is newish and maintained. Screens are good sizes. I wish the two cinemas didn't carry the same movies, but choice and availability probably determine this. After all this, I suppose price and distance have to be your determining factor--it sure isn't who is playing what since their marquees are often identical. Corpus seems to be about ten years behind the curve when it comes to restaurants and entertainment. Based on availability, both cinemas are an oasis in a huge void.

Service has always been good and the food I've had in the past has been solid. My most recent visit was this past Saturday. We arrived about thirty minutes early like they recommend. One thing I really enjoy here is the pre-show. They play old trailers and clips, sometimes in their original languages, and it adds a real nostalgia factor for film nerds like me. We had already eaten lunch before the movie so we didn't order any full meals, but their popcorn is excellent. The real butter makes a difference. Ordering was simple through the phone system at the table. For refills or additional items, you fill out the little paper cards and the servers quietly grab them during the movie. Everything came out quickly and the staff stayed friendly and efficient the whole time. The place is always clean and well taken care of. The staff seem to always be in good spirits, which really adds to the overall experience. The seats are the more traditional movie theater style, so if you're used to the newer reclining seats that many theaters have now, that might take a little adjustment. Overall it's a great and unique movie experience. It's also nice not being packed into a loud theater. I really appreciate their strict no-talking and no-cell-phone policy too. It makes it much easier to actually enjoy the film.

The have a single elevator however that only goes one floor. It's not really an accesable museum. We spent many hours on our selfguided tour. It took almost an entire day. I'm sure, if you don't have the time, you can speed it up but we were not in a hurry.

While in Sugar Land and talking to staff there, someone said make sure to check out the USS Lexington if I got the chance. I got the chance. Walking four levels down below deck and then back up to the main deck was really cool. It mostly gave a taste of what it must have been like on that ship, but also had some great historic displays (like one for Rosie the Riveter, whose NHS I visited in California last year). Anyway from the main deck, I then continued three or four flights up to the flight deck and then up a few more levels to the control/navigation deck. Some narrow and steep staircases meant bumping my head a few times, akin to the sitcom dolt who always does it when entering an attic or basement.
