It was 4 awesome years for all of us, we met a lot of parents and made new friends especially for our daughter she gained a life experience, made friends and sisters for life and most importantly obtained high academic achievements that will go a long for college/career and life. The rest of the times that I would come to pick her up, the school was dirty. On top of that their principal had issues with giving out punishments to selective children. This was uncalled for I unenrolled my student immediately. I wish catholic schools still held the title they used to. Rosary is a sad depiction of what it should be.

I'll be the first reviewer…read more I have had two graduate from Marmion and one currently attending. Marmion did a fantastic job preparing my older two for college and building two fantastic men. The kids I know who attended Marmion, graduate with a professional mature demeanor then most 17-18 year olds. The school focus has changed a little in the 10 years since my first son started. The school is a bit more focused on athletic extracurriculars than in the past and seems to not have as many academic avenues for students. In the past kids were encouraged to get involved in as many athletic, artistic, and academic extracurriculars. Some coaches seem to want kids to focus more on the importance one (their) activity or sport rather than being engaged in many activities at once. The school is still great and is academically challenging, particularly when kids want to be - see honors and dual credit classes. Although my wife and I graduated from other Chicago area Catholic College Prep schools we are happy we sent our boys to Marmion. Our younger boys are excited about the opportunity to attend Marmion so I think they are sold even after attending open houses at other schools.

Magdy can even take and deliver a message. She refused to provide an email for the pastor. There is far too much nepotism in this church. It will NEVER change. The pastor is young and lacks leadership or authority. The church seniors are not approachable or available for concerns. They only have people on the church board if your name is Rogers, Schmidt, Pfizter, French. Never new blood. They have their heads in the sand to the mid management of the church. The church however is far superior to the school! Run..don't walk-away from this money grubbing church

My children both began their education as toddlers at FVMS and both completed the program in sixth…read moregrade. This is not a traditional school, they allow children to make mistakes and encourage them to find the answers. They support the children in learning how to communicate with each other in addition to teaching beyond educational standards in arithmetic, writing language science and so on. My children left Montessori and felt that the public schools were not able to keep pace with what they learned through these programs. They have both expressed that their public school experience is socially disappointing because the students are often unkind and treat each other with disrespect. While my children were encouraged to help peers there public student peers are often concerned with shaming and putting peers who are different than themselves down. Fox Valley Montessori taught my children that learning is fun, that curiosity is a value. My children learned to be respectful, they learned how to manage their work and it is serving them quite well in high school as they manage their time for finals and AP classes. This is not a traditional school, it is so much more, this school teaches your child what community is. Their Montessori education has prepared them far better than I could have imagined and I cannot recommend this school enough.
