I will never come to this place again. For starters it was $50 for 30 minutes which is on the high side especially for the level of service I received. First I walk in and no one is even at the front desk so I am waiting about 5 minutes before someone comes out - that's not why I won't be coming back again though. It's because 10 minutes into my massage the lady abruptly stops the massage and leaves the room because she hears their reception bell ring. Well she left with the door nearly wide open. Here I am half-naked with my face down and in no position to get up and shut the door. Next I hear this guy, a customer seeking a massage passing by my door - now I have no idea whether or not he peered into the room I was in - the point is I felt unbelievably uncomfortable and exposed. At that point when the lady returned (it was a good 5 minutes later) I was no longer into the massage as the relaxation part was interrupted. On top o that they charge you $3 for charging on a credit card. Altogether poor experience and not great service - difficult to communicate with them as well. I will say the lady massaging me was kind and I am sure she was doing her best and didn't intend to make me feel so uncomfortable - regardless if you are running a business it's critical to be mindful toward the level of service customers are getting or you loss them! I've been searching for an affordable and high quality massage spa. I thought I would try Arora massage on McNeil near I-35. There, Coco worked on my ailing arthritic hips and thighs. Also, she found nearly every pain pressure point in my back, neck, face, legs, arms, hands and feet. It took a full 90 minutes, At my request I paid for extra time on my 60 minute session to finish the good progress Coco was making. When she finished I could walk out of the spa without pain. There is a $3 charge if you use your debit/credit card. So have cash on hand. My masseuse Lisa was pretty good. She asked at the beginning of I wanted a medium or hard pressure massage. Throughout the massage any pinpoints where she thought it was too rough she would ask if I was ok. The ambiance is nice, the music is soothing and it didn't even feel like I was In there for an hour. I was really nervous and held off a week longer than usual so today I called and they could get me in 30 minutes. The lady greeted me and was really kind and took me to my room. Fast forward to my massage lady coming in to give me a very interesting massage. I was first fully uncovered and minutes later a towel was cramed in between my legs. I had to ask three times for the cover to be put back on me. Very inconsistent on pressure. There was no flow it was from my shoulder to my hip to my arm back to my shoulder. Half of my massage was being slapped, elbows rammed into my lower back and the other barely even finger tips. They found spots on each of us that were so knotted up and sore that it will take more than a visit or two to undo the damage that's accumulated this past year. I stopped-by the place last Friday and they were busy so I said I'll call next time to make an appointment. However today I was really very tired and since they are not too far away from my house, I decided again to stop by. Luckily they had an opening and I normally like a 90 min massage but it was my first time to their business so for starters I did a 60 min. Lily highly recommended their newest masseuse, Jennifer, and she was truly an A+. She has an art to her strokes and I could sense that she is very experienced and understands the muscular formation of aches and pains because she knows where to look every time she did a stroke. I got a Groupon here because it was pretty close to where I live and I really wanted a massage last minute due to a long, stressful day. Called twice and nobody answered (red flag) then a few minutes later I get a text message from someone there but from a completely different phone number (red flag). They called me and asked if I wanted to schedule and I said ASAP. We agreed on a time and she didn't ask my name number anything just said see you then (red flag). So I get there and check my phone before getting out of my car and that same number that texted me texts me again saying they can't do my time anymore because they're busy now.
