Speakeasy in the PDX airport! Currently they're only open Monday to Friday 4pm-8pm but I hear they'll soon be expanding their hours! Let a bartender at Loyal Legion know where you're headed and they'll give you the passcode for the door. Hint, it's the year the Portland Trail Blazers won the NBA championship * We just got a drink each but they were tasty! If you're only at the airport for this bar, it is $4 to park in the short term parking. Anyway, it's worth it! See my photos?? It's cool inside! Date night, cruising through the airport, just hanging out. Bring a friend, why not? Enjoy!

Just adding a couple more comments after visiting here again. Had an olive fat washed martini - best martini I've ever had, very smooth. Not that I've had a lot of them, but am trying to develop a taste for them. Will definitely try this recipe at home. Also, had the same bartender and they were great, again. Actually gave me a little taste of the martini along with my first drink, so that was very nice of them. Still a very cool spot!

It's cool to see PDX airport has a semi speakeasy bar. I believe it's an extension of Loyal Legion. The interior is nice and you can have a view of the tarmac. We ordered a couple of drinks to kill some time. I had the Aurora Sour, which I thought was made pretty well. The drink was nice and easy to drink.

We ended up staying way longer than planned because it's just that fun -- grabbing drinks, watching people battle it out on the big screens, and soaking in the atmosphere. It's not your typical bar where everyone just stands around. There's always something going on and the vibe is super welcoming and energetic and the owners are so cool! If you love retro games, colorful arcade energy, and good drinks, Vault 31 is an absolute gem.

After ordering food and a round of drinks for the group, we sat down at one of the gaming booths, excited to dive in. When I went back to the counter to ask how to start playing, the bartender told me it was $5 per person to access the games and that guests needed to consistently order drinks to maintain access. Honestly, that seemed fair to me. However, things quickly went downhill. I offered to pay the game fee, but was told I needed to buy drinks first. I explained we had just bought drinks--he had literally served us minutes earlier. His response: "You need to have an open tab, and we won't let you play unless you order more." At that point, the experience soured. The staff felt dismissive and unwelcoming throughout the interaction. Despite already spending money, we were denied access to what we came for. We finished our drinks--which, for some reason, didn't count--and left. This was my first visit, and unfortunately, likely my last. (This place had 5-star potential when I first arrived, but the staff interaction left miserable)

I had never been before, but it was a central spot for all of us and the menu looked promising... and it absolutely delivered. The vibe when you walk in is spot on--moody and a little dark, but still well-lit, super clean, and surprisingly spacious. It instantly feels like a place you want to hang out for a while. Service was just as good. Our waiter was attentive, easygoing, and made everything feel relaxed and fun. We ordered the cauliflower, shrimp skewers, fondue, and a basket of fries--every single thing was delicious. But the fries? Next level. Kind of like jojos, but WAY better--crispy, flavorful, and honestly unforgettable. And the Old Fashioned completely stole the show. Easily one of the best I've had. Definitely adding O'Dear to the regular rotation.

It came out well done, (along with the elote "corn ribs", which were pretty dank, admittedly.) I mentioned it to the bartender, and she promptly offered to have it re-made. Cool. Let's do it. 15 minutes later I said to my wife - there's no way it's medium rare if it's taking this long. Lo and behold, another WELL DONE waste of steak, and waste of time. Got it wrapped up to go and decided to call it a night. Got home and realized they gave us blue cheese dressing. Can't catch a win to save my life tonight. These days we seldom go out to eat, and it's a bummer when we can't even get a decently prepared steak on the off chance we do. It was the second time I tried to get steak here, both times it was almost entirely GREY, in spite of clearly requesting medium rare. For the money, it should be done correctly.
