Banana + honey + espresso/matcha + milk + banana cloud cream + cinnamon, this is a banana bread dreammm, it hits every time I get it. My friend got it as the espresso and said it was delicious as a coffee option too! I've also tried their "trust fund kid" matcha which is an earl grey + espresso/matcha + milk. This one was good but didn't hit as much as the funny business does for me, I feel like I've had stronger earl grey flavor matchas before. My friend got the "slow clap" matcha and said it was delicious too! Guava + matcha/chai + milk + guava cloud cream. I'd be very curious to try this as a chai since I've never seen a guava chai before! My parents got the "loose cannon" espresso and liked it but it seemed pretty basic/standard to me! Irish cream + espresso/matcha + milk + vanilla cloud cream. Seems ideal if you're looking for a good creamy latte w some cute green accents on top! They also got an americano and enjoyed it! $4 isn't bad for espresso + water and they said the coffee blend was good! Seems like the trend amongst what me and my friends have gotten is anything with a flavor and cloud cream is a delicious option. PASTRIES: I've also tried their strawberry orange loaf and it was perfectly moist with natural strawberry orange flavors, I would definitley be interested in trying more of their pastries! Ambiance is fantastic it's inside a giant plant store warehouse so feels like you're in a houseplant jungle while you sip on your morning coffee/matcha. Also gives you something to do since you can explore and window shop while you wait for your drink. They have lots of other cute cards and little Knick knacks lining the area to line up to place your order too so there's always something to capture your attention! Also a good amount of seating and you get to sit amongst all of the lovely plants and feel the fresh air! Service has been pretty fast every time I've come especially given how busy they've been on the weekend when I've come. (Albeit be prepared to wait 15-20+ min on a busy holiday weekend). When they're busy they'll have someone at the counter taking orders alongside someone on a tablet to speed things up. You get a text notification when your drink is done so no need to wait around the counter. There's also a little TV where names and estimated wait times are updated which is super convenient! Parking here is plentiful! There's a parking lot as well as tons of street parking, I've always been able to find parking within a block or two even on mother's day! Overall, I LOVE selva, the funny business matcha alone is enough to keep me coming back! Dare I say this may be my favorite / one of my favorite matcha place in SD! Their drinks are also super cute alongside being super tasty and their interior is so good!

Spill the Beans has completely ruined every other coffee shop for me…read more I'm here every single morning, and there's a reason. The bagels are larger, fluffier, and have this perfect subtle sweetness -- rumor has it they're boiled in agave syrup, and honestly, it shows. The Lox, Stock & Bagel hits different when the bagel itself is this good, and the McLovin is worth every bite too. The rotating selection keeps it fresh enough that I genuinely look forward to switching it up. Then there's the Basic Sitch -- don't let the name fool you. Best Caramel Macchiato I've had anywhere. Parking is a bit of a pain bit of you are in waking distance or come early enough it shouldn't be an issue. Sometimes they run out of items if you come later in the day. They have a special Bagel of the month, so make sure to ask what it is. They have several bagel flavors, and different flavor cream cheese spreads. I love the habanero bagel, it's one of my favorites, but just be warned it is very hot. Definitely don't eat it without something cold to drink. They also have a breakfast sandwich called the San Diego which is a favorite of several people I know. You chose the bagel you want it with and they add fried eggs, bacon, cheese and aioli. I highly reccomend it. I've not had a lot of their deinis, but i did order the cinna-bee which has honey, cinnamon, espresso and milk. I thought it was good and would order it again. Definitely check them out and try some of their bagels, or perhaps one of their sandwiches.

Each thing we ordered were worth coming back for Hands down, my favorites were the ichigo daifuku (mochi with strawberry) and hayashi omurice. I can't stop thinking about the mochi (I will come back just for that!) and the omurice was perfectly seasoned. I really enjoyed the taste of the demi glace sauce on the omurice. We also ordered the salmon onigiri and it was huge, so definitely ideal for sharing with someone. Those three dishes were the perfect amount for my girlfriend and I. Earl Gray Lavender Milk Tea - This came in a cute little mason jar and even had a few sprinkles of the lavender on top. The milk was light and not too creamy while the lavender gave a soft aroma just right. They have a cute theme of supporting us ganja folks and I love all the cute sayings around the outside of the shop. Instagram friendly photos for days! I also liked that they had a Chaga Cold Brew for $8.25. I appreciate a more natural kinda morning high in my morning caffeination. It was delish and huge! My friend and I also shared the McLovin ($13) breakfast sandwich which was so packed with ingredients, there was no way it couldn't be tasty. Scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage patties, cheddar cheese and maple butter made for such an indulgent, protein packed breakfast. Loved the food and vibes at Spill the Beans! I'll absolutely pop in again next time I'm in Seaport Village!
