The bathroom lights flickered downstairs, the bathrooms had numerous moths or some type of flying winged insect in them, one downstair's bathroom had a wet floor by the toilet which may have been from a leaky toilet or pipes under the floor. The numerous flying insects were to me an indication that there was something wrong underneath the surface. The flying insects were seen day and night.

After several days in hotels (nice ones too) we were pleasantly surprised at how clean and well-furnished the cabin was and how wonderful the owner Beverly was. Guests are free to come and go as they please and there is no lengthy check-in process, which is really nice after nearly a week. We felt at home immediately and have shared many pictures with friends and family, who were impressed. Very uncomfortable having to go outside in the breezeway in the evening to get to the bedrooms. This was a girl's weekend and we felt very unsafe. We had to wait an hour for the property manager to show up as they did not provide the correct access code. He was also very rude when we complained about the layout which was not advertised and missing our dinner reservation because of the wait.
